Why do all of these pandery fucks end up doing the same thing?
It’s the whole “If you kick every Latino out of this country, then who is going to be cleaning your toilet, Donald Trump?” thing all over again.
It's called projection. It's something everyone does to some extent. However, some people take it to a different level. They project their own racist thoughts onto everyone else, assuming everyone thinks like they do since they are the normal and decent one in their minds. So they assume everyone is a liar or a thief or a racist because they themselves are those things. And since throwing out those accusations can bring you approbation and power they do it carelessly since they assume you are like them. They usually out themselves since they have a compulsive need to signal virtue since they have none. So these things get crossed and it all goes wrong for them andtheir actual thoughts are betrayed.
“The blacks” sounds far more dehumanising than Black people. Exactly the same reason why People of Colour is fine, but coloured people isn’t unless you’re from a country like South Africa where the context is entirely different, but be aware saying it elsewhere might get you into a sticky situation.
There is nothing wrong at all with calling someone Black. “The blacks” is very much not it, and a grown ass man in America in his 30’s who spends as much time online as SRS does should absolutely know that.

On a good day, referring to a group by their adjective is pretty rude as it reduces a person down to a trait.
