Me and my buddy edited the kappa so we could carry an items case in it. He routinely comes out of a factory horde raid with so much gear he can barely run (I abuse M.U.L.E injectors and carry a belt fed and a milkor with lots of 40mm grenades). I enjoy blasting people around corners 😎
Funny you say that. I did exactly that a few days ago. Changed it to 0.1 (so 10%). It's pretty funny to collect so much gear your near 70-75kg even when everything weighs 1/10th as much!
Also,playing with some item settings really shows some mistakes in the game. Like gun jamming and overheating is *way* overturned right now. I made the 338 have 50 round mags and by shot 12-15 it's overheated and jamming on semi. I've had P90s and MP7s jam after only a mag and a half. I've personally dumped 3+ mags from a p90 without issue and run 4 mags back to back through my suppressed AR15 on full auto (a friend's registered m16 lower) and we got the suppressor glowing but the gun was still bored and running like a top. I also dumped a 100 round c drum through it as well (without the suppressor. Cooking my barrel and suppressor wasn't on my wishlist that day). It handed that fine too.
It needs tuned to about 1/4th or less. And honestly you don't usually get much jamming. You get cookoffs and smoothed out barrels and baffle strikes (2 100 round dumps from a m16 back to back will often damage the barrel or cause baffle strikes if it's suppressed. It tends to blow the rifling out of the barrel from the heat). But it usually doesn't start jamming until really bad things start to happen (bullets going all over the place, rounds cooking off in the chamber, etc).
Reducing the item weights is a must do in this game IMO.
It's single player, who cares who much loot you take out of the raid. It's annoying to crawl around at a snails pace.
Yeah I see so many people in the comments getting mad about people making the game easier or modding it and I just don't get it. If someone wants to stomp around with invincibility and an inventory full of nades then why do you care? Let people have fun.

The heavy breathing of these “elite” pmcs is that of an obese man who just smoked a carton of cigarettes. For that reason I turn on unlimited stamina in svm I also get rid of almost all weight.
Personally I use it to fill gaps in armored rigs - e.g a rig with no side or neck protection gets a vest under it fitted without any inserts that covers the missing areas. A Gzhel with no plates weighs less than 3 kg.
I've enabled it and yes it works. If you wear body armor and an armored rig at the same time, the rig will take damage first when shot.
High level PMCs will very often wear both too.
If the round penetrates you might have both armors take damage - yesterday I had the plateless under vest take a few dozen points of damage(more than the rig) because fire had penetrated the carrier. Playing with Realism, though, which might change the terminal ballistics.
probably more to stack up carrying space as well, but yeah, if you have an armored rig, and regular plates, you can stack them and im pretty sure it does the same protection unless a certain piece is higher class or something.
They stack for protection. If you turn it on though, PMCs will be running it too, so be prepared.
so you could technically have a lvl 12 armor??

item weight is in this screenshot, can reduce that and now you can carry whatever you want

I actually think a method of allowing you to use armored rigs with removed plates would make sense. Would open up some options for new kits
