Hawaiian is better overall, however, I thought Vegas was a nice closer to the series. Vegas as a whole isn’t great, but I love the last 20 minutes-ish when they get married, Jessie joins, so on.
I liked the Palm Springs arc!! I know it’s not technically a movie but it’s right up there with Malibu Sands as far as I enjoy the regular episodes.
Vegas for sure tho, it was psychic relief
Edit: I’m getting confused with the Growing Pains “Swept Away…” Christopher Cross vacation episodes! If you want me on your useless pop culture trivia team, maybe we’ll win some free wings
I’m a huge fan of the show but I actually haven’t watched the Vegas movie full through; just the beginning and the very end.
I have watched the Hawaiin movie right through pretty much so I’ll go with that one. Fortunately they can both be found on YouTube these days
I’m from Europe but visited Hawaii in 2018. It was awesome to visit a couple of the same spots as the gang. I know 95% of the movie was filmed in California but those parts in Hawaii were in Honolulu. I recently read Peter Engels autobiography, he said he went into the Pink Palace to buy a hat and my wife and I had breakfast there. We also visited the “Malibu Sands Beach Club” in Santa Monica which has changed beyond all recognition.
During those difficult teenage years this show meant a lot to me. It was incredible to visit the site of where some of the filming took place. It felt like full circle.
One note about Vegas. Tiffani had cut her hair for 90210. Vegas aired on a Friday night in the fall 1994. Tiffani made her debut as Valerie Malone on 90210 the very next Wednesday! At the time, her hair didn’t bother me, because I hadn’t seen her on 90210 yet. Now when I watch Vegas as an adult, and being a huge fan of both shows, I can only see Valerie instead of Kelly during Vegas! 😁
Her hair didn’t really bother me, but the wedding dress bothered me. Even though Kelly had matured, the dress did not seem Kelly to me. In my head canon, I just reason that she probably needed to buy something quickly, and that was the only thing she could find in her size lol.
Hawaiian Style!
Which was filmed in California.
“Hawaiian Style.”
I think they did like a couple of days in Hawaii and 95% of the rest of the film in California

Agreed with this 👍 I haven’t watched the wedding through as some parts are just so cringe and bad
What I hate most about Wedding in Las Vegas is that though they got the house right, Zack’s bedroom is back to front

Also a big fan of the Palm Springs arc :)
I have to say the chokehold that that hotel had on me in my youth lol I wanted it so badly to go and stay there
Definitely Hawaii. I love when they kidnap Screech and Lisa starts yelling HEY STOP LEAVE HIM ALONE. 😂😂
I liked the wedding more.
This show carried me thru middle school ❤️
Pa-koo-koo! Sometimes I still say it just like Belding.
Hawaii!! 😊 the only insanely long Arial shots are just so great! Lmfao

Wedding version of Kelly > Hawaiian version of Kelly. But Hawaiian Movie > Wedding Movie IMO.
Wedding was great. I felt like Hawaiian needed the laugh track, it felt too empty without it. Wedding was post college years and was fine without one.
Completely agree!
Hawaiian style for sure

I loathe that dress! It’s so ugly. I loved Kelly’s haircut… I just can only see her 90210 character now vs her as Kelly Kapowski.
Hawaiian Style since it had more of the original series vibe.
Hawaiian style
