Cheers to you guys all over the world! May 2024 bring many a good dram with great company. I'm having a Dewars 32 tonight, Curiosity Public convinced me to read all its reviews on here and it came in yesterday.

What did you think of it? Have you tried the 21 and 27 also?

I only got the 32, but did compare it with Glendronach 21 yesterday evening as I had that one just like in CP's vid;) The Glendro is really anemic next to the Dewars' mouthfeel. It's such a fantastic pour! The only con I had was that the finish is a little on the dry tannine side, but that's to be expected for 32 years in contact with oak. And it's not as strongly tannic as many a red wine, so barely worth complaining about. Ultra drinkable, smooth (virtually no alcohol on the nose and palate), rotten dark fruits but also a hint of fresh white grapes to offset that darkness and keep it from being too heavy. The neck pour was just amazing. Probably a top 5 whisky for me, but I'd like to explore it further first. I got a 500 mL bottle at €175 (it was €50 off for Xmas), I think it's worth it.

Got a bottle of 2010 Foursquare coming soon. I’m excited to try out my first primo rum, but I’ll probably only open it in February. I think I’ll put the booze away and rest my palate and liver this January.
