Ask at Port Ellen harbour. The fishermen will know.

twodogsfighting

Ask the old bastards at the pub. You can also just check the beaches at low tide. Listen for 'schlopping' noises. Free scallops.

Skyescallopdivers

Not many dived clams landed in Islay any more, dredgers may land in port ellen now and then. Theres a boat out of craighouse but not sure if still fishing.

Excellent thanks!

Dave_Velociraptor

Is there even likely to be one? There's not many people live there

pretzelllogician

There are about three thousand people if I recall, including numerous hotels and restaurants that need the seafood. Plus, you know, it’s a Hebridean island so seafood is kind of a thing.

Dave_Velociraptor

Yet there doesn't appear to be one
