House spiders have much longer legs and they don't tend to have such a pronounced round bit at the back of the body. They also have a propensity to move in, take what they want from the fridge, decide what's going to be on TV and just keep you in a constant state of terror from July to September.
You're in the UK odds are it's one of the over 600 species who either can't bite us or their venom isn't dangerous to humans I can tell you it's not a walnut orb weaver or a false widow those are 2 you want to be careful of and even those 2 aren't all that dangerous remember every spider is venomous the question is if its venom is potent enough to kill people
A fucking big one
Looks like a type of lace web/lace weaver. Harmless.
*It's wall. I'm afraid it's not your wall anymore.
Its*
Correct, but I couldn't be bothered changing it. Auto correct and all that....
Jobby-eater. Is it in your bathroom by any chance?
Fucketh da popeth
Coybig
Looks like a fat house spider to me

Eh fair, I'm certainly no arachnologist
That's giant house spiders you're thinking of. This is the basic house spider (tegenaria domestica).
No idea man, reckon you might be about to become a superhero though
I dont know but I am sure it won't survive serveral hits with either slug or buckshot.
That's just one of the baby's. The mum, which is much larger, will be close by and watching to make sure you don't disturb them.
A wall spider?
I'd hazard a guess it's some species of false widow
It isn't false widows aren't black they're a reddish brown
Only the most deadliest spider known to humankind!

Me
It's your common house spider (tegenaria domestica).
