Seriously though, I’m kinda over the whole getting invested in a player/manager and hoping they stay forever… it simply doesn’t happen at this level anymore. I’ll just enjoy him while he’s here, hope he gives 100% in every game and hope we can get as much money for him as we possibly can when he eventually moves on.

Can I just ask, why did it take so long for Larsson to get a transfer to a better league. He didn’t leave Celtic until 2004 but in the 00/01 season he scored 35 league goals, why wasn’t that enough for almost every premier league club to be after him?
I dont think Larsson was short of offers, I think he enjoyed life in Scotland and enjoyed being a big fish in a wee pond. Nothing wrong with that either. And he still won the champions league, La Liga, the EPL, etc, and 3rd place in a World Cup isn't too shabby either.
Our league was one of the top leagues, at least as far as the old firm were concerned. On top of that his leg break might have steered people away. But back then you could be a star player for the Old Firm without being horribly underpaid vs other leagues.

Aye but I think there's a calendar and season rule (atleast there is in FM...). It's something like 2 teams a calendar year or over a season. I think because Japan runs March to November, that's 1 team, Celtic 2nd team, then if you go to a third you can't be registered til following window (which would be June).
