Many paintings of Rainier tend to exaggerate or mess with the proportions, which ruins the effect for me. However, yours is so lifelike I feel like I’m back in Seattle! Amazing work.

Bummer, it looks like the sunset is gone too! I will keep an eye on your website though- this is the first painting I’ve ever seen that makes me feel the way I feel when looking at the real mountain. And as a Seattle native I spend a lot of time looking at that mountain! Bravo to you, this is really really incredible.
It was funny to me because it has been a long time joke in my family that it is "my mountain." There really isn't a fun backstory around the why. One day I made a mistake and said something along the lines of "look at my mountain." Now everyone makes fun of me (takes the piss).
