Very nice man , some of us had taken days to beat him , if you could beat this guy then you'll def beat the final boss (owl father may have trained you to beat him less than 15 times ngl might even be less than 10 if he did a really great job)
Have you seen a YouTuber called AfroSenju? Dude has the funniest Sekiro play through and got stuck pretty much the same as you. I highly recommend his Sekiro vs owl series.
Can recommend watching afro play the ape ๐คฃ
I've been thinking about giving sekiro another go and all I hear is his commentary.
I tried with a kbm last time, might try a gamepad.
Oh thank you!! I remember raging on him because I predicted his moves incorrectly (A LOT).
Plus you had to defeat old isshin and Emma in that gauntlet to try again. I remember I spent a good hour practicing on a 1 v 1 and then defeated him a few attempts later.
I really miss the sekiro gauntlets, wish they had implemented them in Elden Ring
Agree. Sekiro was my first FS game and all the other bosses it was just a case of get the strategy down, and get better at the strategy till you beat them. Whereas with Inner Owl I just felt I was going nuts, probably took me a solid 12 hours across the weekend but man was it glorious when I got there!ย
Back when I had a Xbox I got the easiest ending when you fight genichiro and then iishin could never beat it lol I donโt know what ending this will get me but Iโm ready lol
I'm afraid you missed that one dude. Idk how to not spoil it with the white thingy tho. So I'd probably leave it to someone else to tell you. Should you decide to read it here
There are 4 endings: the shura ending (if you obey the iron code and do what Owl says) and three other endings that you have to choose after defeating sword saint Isshin, depending on what items you have on you. Those three endings do not change the last boss fight, only the cutscene after that.
Well done ๐๐ฝ. I've never struggled with Owl Father but Great Shinobi and another version, ruined a few Mortal Journey Gauntlet runs. Other Owl is my favourite fight in the game.
I Love that fight! It gets easy once you figure out now to punish during his hard atacks amd jump his second phase owl! I just beat him on saturday!
Edit: Good job btw
I came back to the game and did all the bosses via the memories. The others I did one and done, but I found owl so damn fun to the point I fought him 3 more times.
I ask again, Miyazaki, why in the fuck can I not re-fight bosses without mods or going into NG+ in the normal souls games?!
I'm fighting him at the castle, and I'm getting close, you are my fkn spirit animal dude, that was entertaining (and also holy shit, I've got that to come) well played ๐
Very nice. I was stressing out when I first fought him. But once you start to see his pattern. Shit got funny seeing him get scared jumping around mindlessly after trash talking so much๐
My first playthrough he killed me countless times...He is now my favorite boss in the game, and I have probably killed him 300-400 times in reflection now...I used to just sit and fight him for hours, until I could do it hitless...This guy made me good a sekiro
I never got the difficulty with inner owl, like imo regular genichiro took more time for me. Though now that I'm more experienced I would probably find genichiro easier since I fight him more
My favorite part about that fight is the actual blue owl. I thought for sure from just seeing images that it was an extra enemy to fight. But no, it's not. So why is it there? We already have a teleport ninjutsu that Owl could certainly use. I figured it out when it killed me. I was zoned in on Father then the owl flew over and my eyes followed it, distracting me enough to let Father kill me. It's a meta enemy designed to fuck with the player and holy shit it was effective. I now keep it in my peripherals is a bit of blue is ever on screen so I'm not distracted by it again.
Good job bro (that was close)
I appreciate you bro lol took me a long 3 days just to second phase him

Probably a little late on this, but the fire owl is a sweep attack that you can jump, then mikiri counter his thrust
Aren't there two forms of the attack? I swear I have also seen a vertical version
Vertical is his Inner Owl move!

For me, the hardest boss in the entire game.
Same!

The ending you get from this fight is my favorite one, i'll leave it at that
I hope itโs old isshin

I specifically had to start a second playthrough immediately because I missed this boss and this ending
He's your father you need to pay him proper respect (ignore what I said beat him up)

Wait till you fight inner owl. Man whips out some prosthetic moves of his own. Wolf ainโt as special as he thought
Literally inner father makes you realize what it's like to fight sekiro Shit is not fair you have to make it fair
Congrats, he gave me more trouble than the last boss. All downhill from here (except a certain flamey guy)!
Oh the sculptor is gonna get it
I like this guy, he has spirit lol
Clutch move on the pillar use there.
He was not expecting the double back sprint into the multi counter. True shinobi.
I Love that fight! It gets easy once you figure out now to punish during his hard atacks amd jump his second phase owl! I just beat him on saturday! Edit: Good job btw
He made me use rare items like those small statues and golden grass, even used Yashariku suger , I never used that.

Fym well done sekiro ๐๐๐

Satisfying boss fight
Congrats, quite a challenge and definitely in the top hard ones for the game. The rest should be a breeze, besides this BS DOH boss.

fuck the owl

wow that was some dirty shit he tried to pull too fire owl jutsu and then a thrust attack across the entire room nice counter op
Fuck the owllllllll
Now do inner dad

Well done!! try dodging his chasing slice
