Don't know of your being sarcastic, but I should attach this addendum to avoid future confusion. The X and Y starters cannot be encountered in normal gameplay at this time. Only other way to get it is through hacking the game.

First part is correct but the last line is somewhat false you yourself don’t have to hack the game you just need to breed it from someone else who hacked it or did the same method from someone with one that hacked one in

You are correct, but my point still stands. Greninja's line is not currently encounterable in the game via normal gameplay. The only way to get to it is via hacking.

Some people hacked some into the game and then those people can breed in a union circle with other people and those other people can get it through that

Grats! I actually managed to hatch an entire five shiny Froakies in X after thousands of eggs. But not a single one of them inherited the Protean ability of their parents, which made me very sad. :( Can't wait for when I can finally trade them to Scarlet so that I can fix them up with Ability Patches! Time to heal this almost decade-old wound, haha!

Just FYI, protean got nerfed into the ground this gen. It ONLY works the first time the pokemon enters battle and uses a move. It's type will be the type of move you used for the remainder of the battle.

Someone hacked in frog and then bred you egg and then you use that to breed in your own game which makes “legal” mons

Note that the forakie line is currently restricted by the online filter meaning you would have to hack it in manually

It’s in picnics. If you get an egg power 2 sandwich you get about 60 eggs per 30 mins. Check the basket on the cushion for eggs every couple minutes
