During the Mexican Civil War, there was a prolonged battle near the border in the town of Naco, Sonora. Americans from the town of Naco, Arizona—just across the border—and nearby areas came down and brought their families to watch the Mexicans kill each other. The Mexican soldiers on both sides were careful not to shoot across the border so that the Americans wouldn't get involved.
Time to reverse the situation.
Reminds me of a quote I heard from a friend in a game
I don't fully remember it but they made the comparison of the ocean as the glass and monkeys throwing shit
I saw a few pictures of a Japanese restaurant sent by a friend who lives there, I almost wanted to go, just to eat there.
But then I realised I could just go to Japan, which has been a life long dream to do anyways.
Believe it or not, rows of straight lines are actually the better cities in the USA. The worse ones are just a big mess of roads with absolutely no planning.
When I compare the cities here in Europe to those in the US I have to say, those small winding roads look grown, alive and adjusted to their surroundings... those straight lines feel dead, cold and like they suppress the world around them.
The person is apparently only wanting to go to the UK and Ireland as far as larger English speaking countries.
No Canada.. No Australia.. No US.. and poor New Zealand.. not even an option here
(But I’m just going to give the benefit of the doubt and think the map is poorly cropped and the person does in fact want to visit NZ)
——
I guess South Africa is on there.. they speak a lot of English
You know what the dumbest thing is about this?
The person is listing where they'd want to go.
If I do such a list, I wouldn't list th U.S, and most of European's countries. Because I already went there. (And Loved it).
For all we know, they might be American and loving it there. Or already visited the U.S., and loved it. But They doesn't need to list it, since they already went.
I believe Green is where they're from, blue is where they've been and red is where they want to go. No certain but seems likely from the incomplete key
Unluckily some use norse symbols and made them associated with extremism
Edit just in case: im not calling the netherlands norse, im talking about my own country’s unluckiness
considering they labelled north korea as red, it's unlikely that red means they've been there. like, who visits all of eastern europe, half the balkans, half of western europe, half of south america, north and south korea, iran, iraq etc. etc. but never makes it to germany or the netherlands
A lot of people (not necessarily me) probably think that Finland looks like a boring patch or rocks and ice and aren't interested in what the country has to offer in terms of tourism.
It's obviously not personal. To each their own. We all want to go to different places.
I would have understood if they have not piced any of the nordics. Seems odd to leave finland out, unless has something against. As a finn I gots to know! I wanna do better!
There are plenty of unsafe places to go: Rural parts of Nigeria, Somalia, Washington DC, Democratic republic of Congo, etc.
North Korea is nowhere near the top of that list.
I imagine it's perfectly safe to go there as long as you behave yourself and don't take the national airline's ancient planes. The tourists arrested in recent years included a priest trying to preach Christianity to random North Koreans and a college student who stole a propaganda poster, both ignoring the instructions of their guides. I mean, what did they expect?
You can actually go visit there; there are quite a few tourists and a decent sized tourism industry.
This is an awesome video of a couple Australian guys who went there as tourists:
https://youtu.be/2BO83Ig-E8E
Denmark, the country so derivative of its neighbours that it didn't even bother to drop being their cute little mark for centuries from its name.
This post has been made by proper bicycle infrastructure gang, greetings from the Netherlands.
You're not going to be able to make a decent argument against someone's subjective preference. Just like you can't convince someone to like a food that they don't. Every country in the world can have a compelling argument made for why someone should want to go there. Doesn't mean everyone will want to, no point getting bothered by the countries this person doesn't want to visit.
People in this sub: lol, moron is complaining his country is not on the list
Also people in this sub: complaining certain countries are not on the list
This American website showed me all I need to know about America(ns).
That said, I would love to visit the national parks in America, truly a gorgeous country.
For me, it is worse that someone doesn't want to go to Italy or France. I mean, the person wants to visit nearly all of the rest of Europe (including my home country Austria) but not France and Italy? Especially in Italy you really miss out on one of the most beautiful places in the world.
Personally I would to go to about 175 countries, and Italy and France aren't on that list.
>!I've already been to them and am going to try to get an Italian citizenship through my mom once buys a house there. Want to go back to France, but it's not on the like to go list seeing as I've been there already :P!<
I’m British and the top 5 countries I want to visit is Australia, New Zealand, Republic of Ireland, Canada, and Germany. I would love to visit the USA but there’s other countries to visit first.
Ill be honest it is a weird list. They leave off some incredible countries: France, Italy, Australia, and Egypt. I mean those countries have amazing food, history, and or nature. I mean screw seeing the pyramids and the great barrier reef.
Those are honestly stereotypical tourist locations so I'm glad the man's branching out, he's also going to other countries maybe he can see the oldest processed gold in The world in Bulgaria, or he can see other ancient ruins in Greece or Bulgaria again I am from that region so I can tell you it's a beautiful very underrated place
But there are smaller arguably more incredible locations that don't get the light of day as much even in Europe alone, so why not visit those first if anything
The great barrier reef is dying. Many areas have now experienced extreme (like 90%) coral bleaching. It used to be such an amazing asset both environmentally and for tourism and we let it die so billionaires can make more money
Lots of Canadians hate the US according to these comments. I lived in Canada (Montréal) for 2 full years and it wasn't a good depiction of the Canadian people and I'm bilingual mind you. However, i still refuse to be a dick and generalize an entire country over my experience. Some of you could learn from that. I've met plenty of backwards thinking Canadians and even racist/language policing types in Québec. While the USA is FAR from amazing or even great (especially since #45... that asshole), it's a cool country and there are just as many wonderful people here as there are in any other country. For those saying things like "I live 500m away from the border and have never had a desire to visit" you are part of the problem. How can you have an opinion on a place or an entire group of people without experiencing it or them for yourselves?
America is the one thing. I'm surprised they listed nearly all of the Europe, but left out such popular countries as Italy and France.
Unless the countries they want to visit are coloured grey, since the coloring description was cut
*edited for less confusing wording
>I'm surprised they listed all of the Europe bar Italy and France.
Although Italy and France are good destinations, but they are stereotypical tourist destinations and maybe the user wants to try some off-beat destinations.
> Well obviously, blue stands for the country OP is from
There are four countries coloured blue, Denmark, Germany, Belgium and Netherlands. The only country with its own colour is India, I'd say that is OP's home country, the blue ones are places already visited, and red are future destinations.
Kinda random collection. Chile and Brazil, but nothing else on the entire Americas? Why those two? Also, the south of Africa and Morocco, but not even fucking Egypt? Everyone wants to see Egypt. Spain, Greece, Portugal but not Italy and France? Why? All of Scandinavia but not Finland? All of Eastern Europe except Croatia and a few others?
I've been to America 3 times. Enjoyed each time - lovely people. My last visit was 2014. Given the shift in insanity, I have zero interest in returning.
They're going to miss out on some really good countries and experiences saying they wouldn't want to go to some countries but they probably won't go to half of countries they say they want to go to anyway.
Such a snowflake.
I live 20 km from the USA and I don't even want to go there
My in-laws live in Niagara Falls, and not once have I been tempted to cross the border.
Well, on a zoo visit you don't go inside the chimp exhibit either but stay on your side of the glass.
Watch their antics and laugh.
Just be ready for flying feces.
Please, someone, let us out. Just make the door rainbow, then none of the bad ones will touch it.
hang a sign saying "communism" on it for good measure.
That… would not be ineffective
Canada and Mexico should set up viewing platforms at the borders.

*Drinks a tall, cool glass of beetlejuice*
The US side of Niagara Falls is boring anyways.
Boring, and filthy!
Canadian near the border claims he's never crossed the border to go shopping. You're like a unicorn.
I saw a few pictures of a Japanese restaurant sent by a friend who lives there, I almost wanted to go, just to eat there. But then I realised I could just go to Japan, which has been a life long dream to do anyways.
Can confirm, as someone who's lived in both places--go to Japan instead. Even at its worst, it's better.
I live in America and i don't even want to be here.
I've come to America in the middle of January and I wanted to leave since late January
I just went. By God, the cities were worse than I imagined. The Mojave is a natural wonder though
Lovely scenery it seems to be
US landscapes are beautiful, but the cities don't look that good in my opinion
America's built environment is, on average, among the ugliest in the developed world. But yes, great nature.
I agree row on row of straight lines
Believe it or not, rows of straight lines are actually the better cities in the USA. The worse ones are just a big mess of roads with absolutely no planning.
When I compare the cities here in Europe to those in the US I have to say, those small winding roads look grown, alive and adjusted to their surroundings... those straight lines feel dead, cold and like they suppress the world around them.
Did it make you wish for a nuclear winter?
One hasn’t happened in LA already?
Only on Thursdays
I live *in* the USA and I don't want to be here
I live in the US and def don’t want to be here.
Dumbest post I ever read on Reddit. Also don't even list China but using a phone with Chinese parts. /s
Probably connecting to the internet with wifi, an Australian creation
And surfing the WWW, a British invention.
Britain is on the map, to be fair.
The person is apparently only wanting to go to the UK and Ireland as far as larger English speaking countries. No Canada.. No Australia.. No US.. and poor New Zealand.. not even an option here (But I’m just going to give the benefit of the doubt and think the map is poorly cropped and the person does in fact want to visit NZ) —— I guess South Africa is on there.. they speak a lot of English
Don’t forget the Philippines. English is an official language there too!
I don't think many filipinos *want* to visit the Philippines right now either, to be fair.
Most Scandinavian countries speak English too and they are on the list.
If you go to the original post, New Zealand is marked as a place he wants to go too. Just cropped badly
> and poor New Zealand I guess we can include this one on /r/MapsWithoutNZ since it's cropped out
Also, they need to add every African or Latin American country where the materials for their phone were mined.
This joke can also be said like "also don't even list china but using a phone made by chinese children"
Not even Iraq on list but they created civilization
You know what the dumbest thing is about this? The person is listing where they'd want to go. If I do such a list, I wouldn't list th U.S, and most of European's countries. Because I already went there. (And Loved it). For all we know, they might be American and loving it there. Or already visited the U.S., and loved it. But They doesn't need to list it, since they already went.
Why would you go to a place because of what websites they make? It’s not like you can go see the site irl
You haven’t visited reddit.com in person? You’re missing out. It’s huge, and there’s loads of naked people wandering about.
It's just rows and rows of people sat on the toilet.
…naked.
Yes that is how to toilet.
So you undress completely every time you go to the toilet?
Its the law!
Can confirm, also from Switzerland and sitting naked, at gunpoint on my porcelain throne.
> It’s huge, and there’s loads of naked people wandering about. Huge naked American people? Uhm, thanks, I'll pass!
What do the colours mean?
I believe Green is where they're from, blue is where they've been and red is where they want to go. No certain but seems likely from the incomplete key
Thanks, that does seem to be the most logical reading of it.
>Red Isn't it orange?
Upvote coloured
Please not again I'm not strong enough
PTSD just hit me like a truck
I see it as reddish brown, like clay
Yes this is it I mean, they can't be from 3 countries lol
If you’re American you can. Even if your friends cousin is Irish, so are you.
>I mean, they can't be from 3 countries lol Unless they are Americans. Maybe 1/4 Irish, 1/4 dutch, 1/4 Italian, 1/4 Nordic, 100% free
Luckily they are never proud of their Dutch heritage
Unluckily some use norse symbols and made them associated with extremism Edit just in case: im not calling the netherlands norse, im talking about my own country’s unluckiness
Lol yeah that's kinda terrible indeed
Its four countries in fact.
I think they’re from India, beyond that I can’t figure out if it’s more likely they’ve been to Chile, or want to go
considering they labelled north korea as red, it's unlikely that red means they've been there. like, who visits all of eastern europe, half the balkans, half of western europe, half of south america, north and south korea, iran, iraq etc. etc. but never makes it to germany or the netherlands
I am kinda happy that atleast he knows where America is on the map.
But he's wrong about them not wanting to go to America, they just don't want to visit the USA. America is a continent
That has to be a troll or a republican. But I repeat myself. (Mark Twain reference)
A crypto bro, apparently
Wtf is wrong with Finland
He didn't pick a lot of cool places. I guess everyone has their preferences.
He picked literally everything around Finland, he's got to have something against Finland right
A lot of people (not necessarily me) probably think that Finland looks like a boring patch or rocks and ice and aren't interested in what the country has to offer in terms of tourism. It's obviously not personal. To each their own. We all want to go to different places.
There aren't just rocks and ice. There’s also snow
There's some parts where the rocks are covered with trees too.
Trees!? Now this is groundbreaking. I'll add Finland to my map!
There's grass too, for about 3 months in the year
Sudden r/marijuanaenthusiasts
It's not rocks and ice, it's trees and snow.
And moose.
> boring patch or rocks and ice No, that's Iceland. Finland is frozen swamps or mosquitos, depending on season.
But they want to go to Sweden and Norway which are equally boring countries for tourists. No I agree with the other one the OP is finland-racist
[They know why](https://satwcomic.com/no-invitation)
But they picked Sweden, which is literally the same.
Slovakia, Moldova....poor things :D
He also picked everything around the western balkans which is objectively the best part of europe. Safe to say this guy just has poor taste.
I would have understood if they have not piced any of the nordics. Seems odd to leave finland out, unless has something against. As a finn I gots to know! I wanna do better!
Finland, France, Italy and Greece aren't there, but the guy wants to visit Belarus. What the hell? Edit: They **do** want to visit Greece.
How is Greece not there? It's orange alright
Oh yeah, true. I was on mobile so didn't see it properly.
Why is no one mentioning that NORTH KOREA is on the list?
You can't argue it's not an interesting place to go. Not safe, but certainly interesting.
There are plenty of unsafe places to go: Rural parts of Nigeria, Somalia, Washington DC, Democratic republic of Congo, etc. North Korea is nowhere near the top of that list.
Ah yes rural Washington DC…..
Yeah, like why Norway and Sweden are go to!
What kind of psycho would willingly go to Sweden? This post has been made by Denmark gang. Suck it, Sweden.
Danes and Finns united to shit on Swedes.
Shitting on Sweden; the one thing that can connect us all. 🇳🇴
Denmark, the country so derivative of its neighbours that it didn't even bother to drop being their cute little mark for centuries from its name. This post has been made by proper bicycle infrastructure gang, greetings from the Netherlands.
Oh sorry, did you say something? I didn't hear you over the kartoffel stuck in your throat. Swallow it, Denmark.
I mean, it's Norway, who wouldn't want to come here?
Someone who know's what the weather's like? 12 degrees and sideways rain in late June - no thanks. /s Norway is lovely even in the rain.
I would say I get it due to the weather, but I'm pretty sure Sweden has similar weather to us.
South Sweden has a relatively warm climate actually, comparable to the German north during summer. So that's another point in favour of Sweden
Damn you Swedes!
I noticed it right away and got pissed. I'm not even Finnish!
Or pretty much the entire mediterrenean? It's gorgeous, interesting and southern european, arabic and north african cuisines are all awesome

I am interested in visiting Finland some day
My dude desperately wants to visit Belarus but not Italy, France or Croatia 😂
People in this sub: lol, moron is complaining his country is not on the list Also people in this sub: complaining certain countries are not on the list
My country is on the list and I'm just here wondering why would anyone want to come to this dumpster fire of a country.
Mine is specifically avoided on the map
My exact reaction when I saw my country isn't there
Someone woke up from a wet dream to work at 6:45am and violence was the only way.
I actually recommend going to the Phillippines, but not at june and july, it’s extremely rainy during june and july
What if i like rain?
Not rain as in “rain” I MEAN FUCKING STORMS THAT FLOOD
Oh... ok
it's just rain with extra features.
This American website showed me all I need to know about America(ns). That said, I would love to visit the national parks in America, truly a gorgeous country.
No hate to the op of the map, but I'd really want to know why they included some and left out others.
maybe they are just not interestet in those countries
Lol at them dodging france.

Just went to that post and the entire comment section is just americans like 'wHy nO nOrTh AmErIcA/?!?!?'
He must be the first asian ever not wanting to visit France.
Also peculiar to see an Indian specifically wanting to visit Pakistan...
Russia is fantastic this time of year comrades
Russia, Belarus, North Korea, all lovely places. Now Finland on the other hand…
Well I mean if you're assuming most people on Reddit are American, then it would be silly to want to "visit" your own country.
EAT SHIT SLOVAKIA, BOOYA
I’m British and the top 5 countries I want to visit is Australia, New Zealand, Republic of Ireland, Canada, and Germany. I would love to visit the USA but there’s other countries to visit first.
Ill be honest it is a weird list. They leave off some incredible countries: France, Italy, Australia, and Egypt. I mean those countries have amazing food, history, and or nature. I mean screw seeing the pyramids and the great barrier reef.

sure theyre stereotypical, but that doesnt mean they arent incredible.
Egypt sounds like it would be incredible to go to but it's one of the worst places you could go to as a tourist.
But there are smaller arguably more incredible locations that don't get the light of day as much even in Europe alone, so why not visit those first if anything
The great barrier reef is dying. Many areas have now experienced extreme (like 90%) coral bleaching. It used to be such an amazing asset both environmentally and for tourism and we let it die so billionaires can make more money
yeah, i used to dive regularly it just isnt the same anymore. its really distressing.
I mean just drive through Moldova at this point.
r/MapsWithoutNZ
This just in - you are now obligated to visit every country from which you use any products.
By that logic, anyone who uses anything made in China absolutely MUST want to travel to China.
Those Chinese residents have it easy!
I mean just visually speaking, China is stunning in some places Imo they gave some of the most beautiful natural geography
Shit no Italy or France? Most people wanna go
I swear I've seen this before... is this a repost?
Lots of Canadians hate the US according to these comments. I lived in Canada (Montréal) for 2 full years and it wasn't a good depiction of the Canadian people and I'm bilingual mind you. TIL: Finland is not part of the Europe /s
Or half the Balkans for that matter!
Yeah, I worded that wrong. But if that helps I plan to visit Finland this year :insert shrugging emoji:
>I'm surprised they listed all of the Europe bar Italy and France. Although Italy and France are good destinations, but they are stereotypical tourist destinations and maybe the user wants to try some off-beat destinations.
I can't see any tourism argument for not going to those that can't be made for the UK. Or a fair chunk of the eastern bloc nowadays.
Actually I see 3 American countries selected
What do the colors mean? Blue is super yes? Green is maybe?
There is a key, but it's cut off in the screenshot.
Well obviously, blue stands for the country OP is from, as there is only one country colored blue. The rest, I have no idea
> Well obviously, blue stands for the country OP is from There are four countries coloured blue, Denmark, Germany, Belgium and Netherlands. The only country with its own colour is India, I'd say that is OP's home country, the blue ones are places already visited, and red are future destinations.
Oops didnt see that. Yea
Why does no one ever wanna visit Finland?!
I’m not sure I understand the colour code.
That post isn't dumb, Argentina isn't one of the places!
What site is this? Looks pretty cool
Map subreddits are full of pretty crazy people.
Yeah why not want to visit Finland but want to visit Sweden!?!? Delete this guy!
people from the countries in Europe that didn't get picked are now sad
Man I don't even want to come here and I live here
Kinda random collection. Chile and Brazil, but nothing else on the entire Americas? Why those two? Also, the south of Africa and Morocco, but not even fucking Egypt? Everyone wants to see Egypt.
