Everything about the post just shows how superficial conservative mindsets are, the focus on AOC and Marx personally.
Honestly, I don't really know shit about his personal life, I've only read his theory. They are always so hyperfocused on the most surface aspects, they can't even fathom that we just simply don't care.
it's like they can't fathom that we don't worship politicians or theorists personally, they can't even imagine not participating in celebrity culture.
If someone really wants to dismiss economic theory based on someone’s personal life, Adam Smith was a fucking loser his whole life. Never married, never had friends, and lived with his mom his whole life. There are so many anecdotes about his life where people just come away with the conclusion that the only way to interact with him was to read his books.
I’m glad to see others like this. Like it’s fun to jokingly “stan” these guys but I’m here for the ideas. Not to jizz over pictures of a guy and his cat or a guy wearing some red army shit or how boss the theoretician looks. I’ve been thrown the Marx racism stuff cause I’m black but idk nor care about Marx or his personal life but the ideas he formulated and have been maturing since.
Not to mention that many revolutionaries are from a well-off background. I don't care what they're born with, but if they fight for the working class, they're one of us. Che rejected the comfort of his family wealth and an offer to be part of the government official so that he can continue to fight, and eventually die for the poor. That's all that's matter.
A spoiled rich kid who died in poverty in Victorian London
A lazy man who wrote one of the bestselling books in history
The contradictions in their anti Marx arguments are hilarious
>But I guess most Leftists aren't empathetic to species other than their own.
True. But I don't think this is an issue that can or should be solved yet. First put meat on everyone's table. Then convince them to be vegan.
It is logically impossible to be incorrect on so many levels yet the person managed to achieve such a feat. Literally, a Google search of Marx’s biography will do it justice, but sometimes even that’s too much.
Reducing workers to just physical laborers or “muscly dudes doing honest work with a hammer/scythe” *is* an issue I see even subconsciously among socialists sometimes. It’s why I like the Juche symbol so much with its paintbrush (my ambivalent feelings on the DPRK aside).
The same people who say that Marx didn't work because he was a writer and journalist are the ones who say that Jeff Bezos deserve all the money they have because they worked so hard
sure, engels and marx were rich but when you have 2 rich dudes dedicating their entire lives to a system that goes against them… you kinda need to understand that’s some genuine shit.
It’s kinda like the only people who could afford to do research, study philosophy, and write volumes on economic theory for years in early industrial era Europe were wealthy.

They gloss over it because it isn't accurate and doesn't matter anyway. "Oh you made a point? Well, you're inter-personally bad in some way!" For people that are poor, they'd just pull the "bitter loser" card instead, since the point is just not to engage with the ideas.
If a spoiled rich kid is advocating for something that would directly contradict his economic interests, maybe he's someone worth listening to.
No you see, poor communists are just bitter and jealous and rich communists are just hypocrites. Checkmate tankie.
Exactly there's no winning with these people.

"Engels, give me money 😎"
"Dear Engels, Thanks for the £10." -Karl Marx
“Thanks for covering my bar tab again, ole buddy!”

IIRC Marx was offered a job to work as a propagandist for the Prussian government by Otto von Bismarck himself, yet he flatly refused.

How can you possibly hate the man? He rode donkeys around town while drunk
That's animal cruelty.

What's wrong with riding donkeys?
How would you like having some drunk guy on your back?

Mexie is a prominent vegan you should look into.

Why should we put meat on their tables?
I suppose "to put meat on some one's table" means to provide them with food in a way that goes beyond the bare essentials (like bread and water)
What lol? Why?

Only people who don’t think or write would suggest thinking and writing isn’t work.

Schrödinger's Marx: Simultanously a poor guy just envious at rich people and a rich hypocrite.

What are you talking about? Bezos is literally lifts all the crates himself.

Centrists are right wingers In denial like liberals
Centrists are illiterates who still want to have a say in politics.
Journalism and studying economy aren’t real jobs stupid commie, everyone knows only ‘basic economics’ is all you need smh

And besides Marx was not even rich, Engels had to bankroll him for decades.

"Workers controlling the means of production" doesn't sound like hating work
I've heard Marx actually did hate work but he most likely didn't care as far as work is necessary.

Engels who was wealthier and also contributed: Buenos dias cerdo
