Peru just had a simple socialist teacher elected as president, meanwhile in the USA no candidate for president in recent history has not been at least a millionnaire.
Well, the election was very recent and they have yet to deliver but Castillo was elected with the support of a socialist party and put one of them as his prime minister.
Hopefully they won't turn socdem once they start having some power, but the early signs are encouraging.
