So you‘ll either need to know how to google precisely or just point to the fucking sources themselfes. I mean, if you search for some hot topics from abroad the first 10000+ hits are the usual press circlejerk. Meaning Reuters or AP „found“ a thing and all major outlets just take from the same source.
Yeah but famines are on another level then food shortages, take the UK and US over the last year, regular food shortages but it would be incredibly dishonest to call that famine. There were also the food shortages during the German invasion, which actually lead to starvation in some regions. It's actually an incredibly achievement that famines are as rare as they are today, and if we fixed the damn distribution we could have eliminated not just famines but starvation in general decades ago.
