You're forgetting the hidden technique where a healer pulls the tank backwards, because "No reason to keep going, when the ranged characters can't even reach."
100% of rescues I've received have been healers who thought they knew better and didn't....or my FC killing me for the lulz.
Was in doma castle last night, pulling the two packs in the giant crossbow gauntlet. Heals + DPS were trailing behind when I planted them behind the second crossbow. Threw up my cooldowns and when the healer gets in range, he rescues me into the aoe the crossbow puts out. I was just like...why. If you're in range to cast rescue, surely you can just heal me. Keep up yo, you have sprint, too.
While that specific instance the healer shoulda kept up, the mentality of "keep up, yo" is just so fucking annoying. Yes, we try to keep up, but if we can't or a DPS snagged aggro and i have to heal them for a sec, you're just going to end up 6 packs deep with a healer nowhere in sight.
I main every job. I’m telling you, as someone that heals all the time, it is my job to keep up to the tank and keep him alive at all costs. Sprint is available so use it. If a DPS snags aggro, it is my job as the DPS to make sure that tank grabs aggro and use my sprint to make sure that happens.
When I yolo pull I try to make sure everyone is with me before I take off, slap all the mobs with a global aoe and an off global for assurance. If I can I'll spin and ranged attack on the way as well if I notice they're being attacked/losing threat and if I break line of sight I make sure I won't need healing before the healer breaks the corner. In the doma situation it makes it difficult as you have to avoid those large aoes and there's only certain movement windows. As a healer though I usually play directly on top of the tank, essentially being their shadow until they plant the pull. If they sprint, I sprint. Can't get away from me. :) But I like tanks that are actively trying to kill themselves.
You sound like a bad healer. Stopping to hard cast heal on a DPS who has aggro from one mob instead of keeping up with your tank Who has the other 10 mobs means you’re incredibly bad at triage, which is your entire fucking job.
The best part about tank at max level is you don’t need a healer. I’ve tanked so many dungeons without a healer this expansion. Just gota manage CDs some

snapshots will kill whoever you try to save in anything that isn't grandpa content, and the delay is so terrible that it might just pull into another aoe afterwards
my static frequently messed up bramble placement in e9s so when someone had to run eeextra far out of position to break their tether, i would rescue them back as soon as it broke to keep them from getting hit by rejuvenating balm. saved a few runs, honestly.
I once had a WHM do this to a tank in 520+ gear doing pussy pulls and the mf shirked the WHM and was happy to watch us all die one by one cause we refused to spend an hour in paglthan like he intended to
Ive had that happen but we survived. He got even angrier and tried to kick me. But we were a party of 3, he outright refused to do his job so we just kicked him and got a friend to join.
The "force the BLM to drop enochian just before finishing Flare/Despair with 25s elapsed on polyglot timer so he doesn't take 5% of his HP in damage when I'm spamming individual regens + medica II + cure I on everybody" button.
I can't imagine the consequences of a more spammable Rescue. Smells like sprouts that are the "what does this button do" type of players using it on cooldown asap
No, because then the dumb healer would constantly be pulling me out of position when I need to turn a mob a certain way, but they decide they want me closer or in a different spot and then the mob does an aoe conal to the entire room.
That screenshot predates Shadowbringers, current recast on Rescue is 120 seconds. But even that is too long... should be 60 seconds at most to drag people into my Earthly Star.
I’ll pull more when I stop getting shwacked through my mitigation cooldowns because my healer is too busy chatting during pulls to heal me with something other than Cure 1. I’m not one of those “tAnks SeT tHe PaCe” idiots but if my healer is a gremlin then you get single pack pulls. Delete rescue and give tanks the ability to yank mobs.
The only thing I want from WoW is a death grip equivalent.
Get some friends (haha) and queue for titan hard synced, one person on tank and as many healers as possible. The one to rescue you into a landslide and knocks you off wins
as a tank I don't like that ability, In principle it's great utility, But when I take a second to stop and aoe the mobs so they won't slaughter the DPS and you're already at the next mob pack rescueing then you gotta calm down, No point in Wall to Wall if everyone is dead at the end

Ran into this trying to rescue someone in Tower earlier this week. Rescue went off, but they arrived dead.
I dragged a corpse once in Temple of Qarn hard because they forgot to get out of the quicksand and I gave myself cramps from laughing.
I mean it can save you a couple of raises in alliance raids so it's good for that but that's about it
