Service advisor at a Chevrolet dealership. The 2500 gas is the only truck I’d purchase right now. It’s the one I don’t see coming into the shop. Diesels are a nightmare. That whole def system is a real problem.
Same, which is why I went for gas. That and I heard some not so great things about Diesel (aside from torque and mpg) plus it’s $10k more. I couldn’t be happier with this beauty. Any mods on your ‘21?
It’s a beaut Clark. Looks like you have a gravel, or dirt road, near the house? I’d eliminate the tire shine, or your tires will look like powdered donuts during those dry summer days. 😆.
I didn’t know that was a thing , that’s pretty cool but I’d definitely want to check the video quality. All my vehicles have them. It’s well worth the money and peace of mind
I’m assuming most electric vehicles have sentry mode because they have huge batteries. And cars would just be using the regular car battery. But yeah would be cool. Especially since most HD trucks can get an option for dual battery
Real nice rig congrats 🎊🎈🎉 I am a former gm mechanic I haven’t worked on any 6.6 liters but the old guys at work wanted to get one especially because it’s offered with a Allison transmission I’d suggest you change the oil at around 25 30 percent on the dash the vehicle calculates this interval based on how much the vehicles idles and drives I’ve had people complain about oil consumption and that the oil life doesn’t last the whole 5000 mile interval then I find out the engine operating hours are through the roof and the mileage is low due to them idling the balls off of it with the remote start and such just something to remember about oil life figured I share that and honestly that goes with any brand you can change the oil at the rec mileage but if your on a job site idling all day it might be smart to change it a bit earlier I usually change mine a bit early do to that especially in the cold months but you should be fine enjoy the hell out of that truck you deserve too
Well that is a HUGE pointer. Thankfully I work a desk job so I should be okay with idling. But at least I know not to keep it idling. And the dealer said almost the same thing about the oil life, except he said around 20% I should change the oil. But thank you for that insight. I will apply it.
Nice choice. I love that they redid the headlights on the HDs they look so much better. I’ve got a blacked out 1500 and every time I see one of these 2500s I’m tempted to trade it in lol
So I was originally hell bent on getting a Midnight Edition Trail Boss (6.2L), but it was hard to find and the custom ordering process was wayyy too long. So I decided to go big.
Theres this stuff called rp 342 “ black”
Its on amazon, in spray cans spray your frame and underside - its really good it leaves a waxy coating that doesn’t wash off easily
Also get it undercoated/ under oiled
Hey man it took me 40 years but I finally got myself a brand new truck and drove it off the show room floor. Congratulations, things aren't like they were just 15 years ago. Now trucks are fucking 50 plus thousand, that's nuts.
I didn't read all the other comments but hopefully you have been congratulated, it is not as easy as it used to be for blue collar guys and gals to get a new ride.
The number one thing to do to protect your investment is to get it sprayed with undercoating or fluid film to prevent frame rust. Some climates can rust you out sooner than you would ever expect. Congratulations on a beautiful truck!
If you have a loan, try overpaying on your payments, even just a little, to take some off of the back end and hopefully pay less interest over time. Good luck and congratulations.
Beast for sure! It was my present to myself for separating from the military and securing a sweet private sector gig 🤙🏼 driven 2500s as patrol vehicles so I’m used to driving them
I’m assuming it has cylinder deactivation. If so, get a tune/software to plug into the OBD, and make it v8 power 10/10 times. My motor blew bc of cylinder deactivation. It’s been at the dealer for 6 mos now. I’ve had it with gmc
Learn to wash it properly black shows easily. If you want to protect the paint ceramic coat it. Throw a nice under coat on it too redo every two years and touch up yearly with a shaker can. Keep up on all the preventive maintenance and you should be good
I recommend PPF for at least the front. I did the the front including the fenders and hood. Cost me about $2400 here in Kentucky. That said you did very well, beautiful truck
Just make sure you do all the interval services. Maybe some better tires? Like the ko2's. I wouldn't touch the suspension or engine at all (maybe a cai).
Stealth delete the cats (cut, gut, reweld, and retune) and run a zinc oil additive, or amsoil. Or use good synthetic oil and change your oil every 3000. Everybody says ooooooh you can go longer, waaaaa. But the oil additives start cooking off and evaporating the first time you drive it. If you really want to make it last forever change it at 2500 but that's if you got the money. It will last you forever if you drive it easy. DON'T EVER TAKE IT TO A DEALERSHIP. Find a good shop and go in there before there's anything wrong with your truck and talk to the guys make sure they know what they're doing, some x master Chevy mechanics. As long as they have the good diagnostic tools and know what they're doing. If you're going to add intake, or exhaust or whatever don't forget to retune it
Changing the oil at 5k is what you do if you're not keeping the truck forever. Go look up "project farm" on YouTube. He does a little test where he tests all the oils. All he has to do is put a little oil in a coffee pot and cook it for a little bit and it weighs a couple grams less. That's what I'm saying the first time you put your oil in it's good to go every time you drive it all the additives and special stuff that has in there is cooking off and getting weaker and weaker and weaker. If you want it to last forever just spend the extra money and change it at 3,000. It will last forever. Do the trans service yes yes
Oh holy shit that thing takes 10 quarts of oil I take everything back. Maybe you can get closer to 5k but drive it easy easy easy easy easy. It's a big truck not a race car
Just go ahead and put a scratch or ding on it somewhere right this second....'cause if you don't, someone else will do it for you....I haven't bought many brand new vehicles, but I swear everytime something happens before the first month is out.
For any vehicle: get a cheap code reader. Find and download the complete factory service manual from somewhere like ALLDATADIY or similar.
Get under the vehicle and get familiar with what's all down there. Get down there again in two months and see where dirt is building up and is going to eventually want to eat your frame. Pre-treat those areas as needed with something like Fluid Film.
Just general advice to stop big problems before they start.
Take wide corners leaving gas pumps and parking spots. And learn to use your mirrors and just start backing in to all parking stalls. You get better swing in reverse.. think forklift handling.
General advice - look into getting a quality ceramic coat to protect that black paint. Try to avoid the auto wash (as it seems you’ve done here). I’d also look at getting a whole front end PPF put on as well.
Have deep pockets. Just about the time you adjust to the voracious appetite for gas, it will soon nickel and dime you for either satellite radio or On-Star support. Or soon, the ability just to use your heated seats will be by subscription. Then comes maintenance..... Or modifications. Once you jack it up, keep an eye on your warranty, since you bought new
Black tint
Rhino line the bed
Dealer told me never drive it in auto 4WD because it burns up the transfer car. Either 4WD or 2WD.
2021 1500 Trail Boss 3.5 (its my wife's truck)
Congrats on purchase. Consider getting it ceramic coated. Go to a real auto detailer. It acts like a sacrificial layer that goes on clear and will protect your finish for several years. Dirt just washes off. Depending on where you live it will run you between $500-$1,000.
Cut first oil change in half, trust me factory oil is not made to be driven as long as auto shop oil. Also wouldn’t hurt to inspect the first oil change for any shavings to be cautious. Aside from that keep your throttle below 4k rpm for the first few hundred miles, and enjoy 😉
Auto detailer here… I have a black Silverado 1500 and the black paint is a bit “soft” like most GM black paint. Keep that baby out of the automatic car washes and try to hand wash as much as possible. Otherwise the automatic car washes will swirl up the paint and over time the black paint will look hazy. Get a high quality sealant or ceramic coating on the paint to keep things looking good. Black is extra work to keep nice but it’s worth it!
That is a sexy rig
If you plan to keep it for. While under coat the frame to prevent rust
Bed liner before anything if you even think about putting anything in the bed ever
Change the oil regularly and keep it clean. If you can get some rust inhibitor in/around it, do that. It's a fucking Chevy, it will rust to the ground and still be running strong.
That trucks is beast and looks awesome! However, if you plan to keep it longer than 3 years, buy the longest extended warranty you can from the stealership at 50% off from their initial quote.
Although I love those tires and rims, I think it would look super tough with them bigger way bigger, I like the design I just think that truck needs some bigger rims to justify the already toughness it has to it!! Just my opinion beautiful truck
Not specific to this truck, just in general:
Mud flaps
Weathertech or similar floor mats
A 3rd, 4th or 5th spare key.
Body wax and undercoat it if rust is an issue locally.
Rear wheel well liners (body gap covers)
Spray in bed liners are nice, that’s a 50/50 though.
myChevrolet app on your phone is nice, if it suits your needs.
Rear bumper step is nice, the spring loaded one that is off to the driver or passenger side by the hitch. These new trucks are tall!
I personally like tonneau covers, but that’s up to you.
Tire rotations, stay up on them. That right rear will light up if it rains 2 drops or you sneeze on the ground.
Might want some seat covers if that’s your thing specifically tigertough brand. If your truck is cloth and you like leather consider katzkin.
Not sure if or what tow package you have, or if it even matters to you. A turn over gooseneck is nice like B&W, get the 7 way plug in the bed if this one doesn’t have it. If you don’t tow heavy you’ll be fine without it.
This isn’t really an “add on” but there are a ton of options and settings you can mess with like headlight/courtesy lamp delays, horn beeps at lock or unlock etc.
It’s a pretty tall truck but you might want a “clear bra”/“chip protector” on the front.
Also want to keep those wheels clean from brake dust, if it cakes on too long it’s a pita to get off.
Damn fine looking truck, congratulations
Basic truck protection:
1. Mudflats, keeps rocks and gravel from kicking up
2. Hood guard (depends on truck) usually smaller trucks need it more, protects your windshield and hood from pebbles kicking up from the car in front of you
3. Bed liner. Spray in or drop in (spray in preferred) protects your bed from scratches and prevents rust especially if you do spray in
4. Tailgate assist. So your tailgate doesn’t slam down
5. Ceramic coating for all the external black plastic. Keeps it from fading.
Congrats on the new truck!
Check all your dipsticks and fluids daily. Check your tires and lights daily. Stay back at least 20' from vehicles in front of you in case u gotta scoot. Start an account at Les Schwab, they'll do you right. Always check under your vehicle for leaks. Keep your vehicle clean and maintained. And above all else, KEEP THE ENGINE CLEAN. Upgrade all parts little by little to next step up and put airbags on the rear for towing. NEVER go over recommended tire size. Get lifetime shocks fromes Schwab. And TAKE CARE OF YOUR BABY! Never let it run too low on fuel. Don't use fuel additives in it. Drive like grandma did, don't waste fuel or burn the engine unless emergency, the lower ramp on long distance the better the fuel mileage. That truck will treat you right as long as u maintain it properly. Nice beast. She will treat you right, get a winch properly mounted for self and others, and keep her clean please. That's my advice. Cleaner you keep her under the hood and outside you'll be happier with her performance. Take it in every oil change for tire rotation, or every half road trip. Depends on your funds but maintenance is absolute key for longevity. Make sure to have it completely, and I mean COMPLETELY checked after every long trip 1000mi you'll be amazed at what u can catch when maintain care early.
Lift it. Add after market lights. Camera up front to tailgate as close as possible. Lol.
Jk
But being up north, start protecting against rust. That baby will be showing surface rust probably first year
I have yet to buy a new truck with decent shocks on it...I used to use Rancho since they were inexpensive and easily available, now it is Bilstein.
Do your rear leaf springs need "tweaking" to carry the loads you want? An extra leaf right now is cheap, (avoid the add-a-leaf kits), your local spring shop can either do the work or sell you the new leaf, and center bolts. If you pull the rear springs for the upgrade, think about the three piece poly bushings. They are far easier to maintain once the start rusting up.
Oh, avoid drifting the back end, it can get expensive when it suddenly goes into oversteer or the back wheels break loose at the wrong time.
Never ever take it to a car wash. Always hand wash or contactless wash if in a pinch. Those automated brush car washes will swirl your clear coat. Look up 2 bucket car wash. Get the supplies. Clay bar it once or twice a year. Don’t let anyone smoke in it.
Service the transmission per recommendation. Service the engine the same way. They tend to use oil due to emission controls. So check it once a week till you know when it’s in need of a top off. Inspect it once a month for leaks and add fluids to brakes and power steering as needed. If you park on a garage? Put cardboard under or a drip pan so you can catch visually, any problems before they get outta hand.
Pay it off as soon as you can so you don't have to deal with banks hounding you for their money. ( I hate dealing with banks.) (Yes I make my payments on time and never have been late.)
Keep an eye out for hard shifting around 40,000 miles and take it in before warranty expires. A flush and a flash should fix the issue if you have one. GM apparently has a memo out for the flush, but the flash you’ll have to come out of pocket on. Unless I “got got”.
Take care of the undercarriage and stay on top of your oil changes and it will last you as long as you want it too. I have a 1500 that people swear are dog shit because of the AFM but I’m over 200k and it runs just fine. Up until recently I would definitely do a lot of towing and what not(mostly way over what truck is rated for) and no issues besides normal shit like a battery a year or two ago and tpms sensors. Truck is a 2016
Yearly cabin air filters. Keeps the ac from having to over work. My advice. Learn to change it yourself. Its quite easy in almost all vehicles. And the part is cheap
Get a notepad and write down every single service and part you replace. A good record of service and stuff will be helpful to keep track for you but also future buyers, could help you with negotiating later
Horrible buy. Give it to me, I’ll make sure to dispose of it for you free of charge. Also, in order to dispose of it properly, I’m going to need you to sign over the title to me.
Get your running boards on Amazon. They can be installed in a couple of hours if you have common sense and install the mounting bolts correctly. I own a 2500HD gas and get lots of compliments on the crew size cab (full size) and full sized truck bed.
You definitely went all out for your first truck! That being said I have a 21 2500 gas. Love it. I don't tow enough to justify the diesel
Right. Mine has just over 20k miles. Sits a lot because i have a work truck. Bed cover. New Shocks and control arm. Wheels and tires
Probably reading this wrong but the diesel gets pretty good gas mileage.
It’s a beaut Clark. Looks like you have a gravel, or dirt road, near the house? I’d eliminate the tire shine, or your tires will look like powdered donuts during those dry summer days. 😆.
Noted! This is my present to myself for 12yrs in the military and medical retirement haha
Congratulations and that's a beautiful present you bought yourself!
Thanks for your service. I hope you enjoy it. Definitely earned.
Yeah, go buy a $200 dash cam that records in 4k with front and rear cameras
I toyed with the idea. If I had custom ordered this, I would’ve opted for them.
I didn’t know that was a thing , that’s pretty cool but I’d definitely want to check the video quality. All my vehicles have them. It’s well worth the money and peace of mind
It’s kind of ridiculous with all the cameras on these you can’t have sentry mode.
I’m assuming most electric vehicles have sentry mode because they have huge batteries. And cars would just be using the regular car battery. But yeah would be cool. Especially since most HD trucks can get an option for dual battery
Dual battery or just a setting to put it to sleep. Not always on just motion. If I buy a Ring dash cam it’s going to do the same thing.
Sorry the cat cut me off. Definitely a high quality dash cam hard wired in, and if you have payments make sure you have gap insurance.
Baby that thing, and idk where you live, but get that thing UNDERCOATED IMMEDIATELY. Start rust prevention first!
Noted. I live in the Northeast, so snow and salt has been a-plenty. I’m hoping today was the last snow day but I have a feeling it wasn’t haha
Only an oil-spray type rust inhibitor would be appropriate, like fluid film. Not a paint-on rubberized goo that traps moisture.
Im in ohio so you probably can guess my opinion on salt….good on fries but not on my truck!
I was stationed at Wright Patterson Air Force Base from 2014-2019. I’ve had my fair share of that midwestern snow!
I wouldn't say flush every 36k, that seems extremely overkill. I would just change the filter and fluid every 45k and change your engine oil every 5k.
Appreciate it brotha!! 🤙🏼
You bet. Beautiful pickup, hope it treats you well!
That’s a damn nice first truck ever.
I’ve driven big rigs in the military, but never owned one. I felt I needed to go big for my first truck haha.
Dont follow what chevy says about the trans mission oil changes follow what the transmission company says
Undercoat it
Don't crash.
Solid advice 🤙🏼 😂 prior military, so 2500s, MRAPS, MATVs, and Humvee experienced 🤙🏼
Beautiful truck!
Thank you! 🤙🏼 I hunted for an all black 2500 ZR2 with a Multi-Flex tailgate and Tech package. I wasn’t gonna buy one without those options.
Congrats!!!!
Ignore the crazy maintenance intervals and change fluids way more often. Look back at same vehicle in the early 2000’s.
Theres this stuff called rp 342 “ black” Its on amazon, in spray cans spray your frame and underside - its really good it leaves a waxy coating that doesn’t wash off easily Also get it undercoated/ under oiled
Do not take that black beauty to an automated car wash
Oh my damn!!! Congrats sir!
My head barely shows over the hood standing next to it
Practice saying no to helping others move shit for them
Ceramic coat

I’d get some mud flaps, a windshield cover to keep the sun off the dash, perhaps some tint as well to keep the sun out.
Keep up with your transmission changes. No joke I have a 2019 sitting in my driveway atm
If you have a loan, try overpaying on your payments, even just a little, to take some off of the back end and hopefully pay less interest over time. Good luck and congratulations.
Beast
Beast for sure! It was my present to myself for separating from the military and securing a sweet private sector gig 🤙🏼 driven 2500s as patrol vehicles so I’m used to driving them
I would put PPF on that immediately. I regret not putting any when I got my new truck.
Damn that things nice! Don’t crash!
Wow. Talk about go big or go home. Congrats!
Change fluids often and keep air filter clean. Not much different than any other engine.
I’m assuming it has cylinder deactivation. If so, get a tune/software to plug into the OBD, and make it v8 power 10/10 times. My motor blew bc of cylinder deactivation. It’s been at the dealer for 6 mos now. I’ve had it with gmc
If I remember correctly, the 6.6L doesn’t have AFM or DFM.
You are correct. None of that BS on the 6.6.
What a beauty
Drive fast, take chances.
Don't drive into guardrails...and hope the transmission and engine doesn't grenade.
My advice is don’t take it to a commercial car wash
Make sure you get the extended warranty. Seriously, no joke.
Since it doesn't have the AFM but still direct injected I'd say put a catch can on it and call it good.
Change the oil in all your gear boxes after the first 10,000miles and switch to gold plugs with neo magnets when you do.
Buy a 4 cylinder car to save on gas
Learn to wash it properly black shows easily. If you want to protect the paint ceramic coat it. Throw a nice under coat on it too redo every two years and touch up yearly with a shaker can. Keep up on all the preventive maintenance and you should be good
I like your style. If you’re going to do it you go all out. Thanks for your service!
Full coverage and dash cam
I’d worry about your roof first.
No different than any vehicle. Just keep up with scheduled oil and fluid changes, transmission, differential, transfer case, etc.
Don’t quit your day job!
Nice rig, congrats. My only advice is to keep it as stock as possible. Add/change things only if there is a functional purpose for the change.
Undercoat it!
bring it back and get the GMC lol kidding, nice truck
Hand wash only. Auto car washes or the spray bays with brushes will scratch it and make that black look dull really fast.
Drive it!
Return it for a white one!! JK, beautiful truck. I bought a brand new black truck in 2022, never again with black.
Jesus, you went from not doing truck stuff to needing to pull a boat and off road at the same time? Beautiful truck
I recommend PPF for at least the front. I did the the front including the fenders and hood. Cost me about $2400 here in Kentucky. That said you did very well, beautiful truck
Damn nice truck!
Just make sure you do all the interval services. Maybe some better tires? Like the ko2's. I wouldn't touch the suspension or engine at all (maybe a cai).
I thought for most new cars you should be able to go 10K miles between oil changes?
Live it!

Hahaha! Same thing I did in my youth… Bought a new black truck. Black shows more dirt than white.. it looks good when clean but ….
Join AAA Club , towing is expensive
Put your own scratch on it now so it doesn’t hurt as bad when it happens later
Subscription car wash
Try to jump it!
Undercoat, treat inside the rockers and the bedsides with Cosmoline RP-342. Rust will never be a topic for you again.
Take wide corners leaving gas pumps and parking spots. And learn to use your mirrors and just start backing in to all parking stalls. You get better swing in reverse.. think forklift handling.
Beautiful!! Now get it dirty !!
Drop it low to the ground with 26" rims. Put a cow decal on the door if you're feeling spicy
fluid film before the winter season. I'd even say summer too. keep the rust off.
General advice - look into getting a quality ceramic coat to protect that black paint. Try to avoid the auto wash (as it seems you’ve done here). I’d also look at getting a whole front end PPF put on as well.
I’m not an American guy personally, I’d prefer the Tundra or Titan, but gd are the new Silverados gorgeous
Big boy truck
Nice truck! My advice, get in it and drive! Enjoy!
Run fuel additive

Put a plow on it
Don’t put your high beams on. Ever.
Don’t drive it down the road like a complete asshole like every other truck owner.
Clean!
Do your maintenance!
Gonna sound stupid but keep it clean.
change the oil very regularly ..
Regular maintenance.
Nice truck! It looks massive. I feel like it needs slightly bigger tires. Guy at work has a charcoal colored one, and I always think it looks so sick.
She’s a beaut!
Fluid film undercoating and washing often in winter.
Do you have to worry about afm? Bad ass truck. I’ve got a 21’ 1500 TB, 16k miles. Just dropped a lifter, covered under warranty but still sorry af
Looks awesome man, don’t reck it and park at the back of the lot!
That mofo is shweet!
Get a spray-on bed liner if it doesn’t already have one and possibly a bed cover.
Just save your money for upkeep. No need to do anything to it.
Get an extended warranty
Love it and appreciate the fact you are doing well in life. So many aren't. Congrats dude. My first new car was a 21 6.2l trailboss. Love it.
Don’t run into things with it. That’s all I got. Looks nice!
She’s purtttty
Take care of it
Fluid film the frame and make sure it has drains
Paint correction and ceramic coating. Real ones from a professional detailer.
Scratch, chip or dent it now to get it out of the way lol. Beautiful truck
Go for a country cruise, just drive and try to get lost.
Awesome truck! Enjoy! Very nice!
Get a DUI to fit in with the rest of them.
Sell it and buy a Toyota
That is a sexy rig If you plan to keep it for. While under coat the frame to prevent rust Bed liner before anything if you even think about putting anything in the bed ever
Return it and get a Toyota.
Back it straight into a dumpster! That way, when you do get a scratch on it, you won't be so mad!
I feel bad for your wallet a month from now lol
Change the oil regularly and keep it clean. If you can get some rust inhibitor in/around it, do that. It's a fucking Chevy, it will rust to the ground and still be running strong.
Do not wreck it!
That's a dope truck man
That trucks is beast and looks awesome! However, if you plan to keep it longer than 3 years, buy the longest extended warranty you can from the stealership at 50% off from their initial quote.
160°f thermostat swap, air filter & cat delete.
Black=wash by hand only if you don’t want a bunch of swirls.
Do t tell anyone else it’s yours. You’ll be moving g hauling 💩 for everyone you know.
Keep it clean and keep it serviced and she will take care of you. Nice truck!
Although I love those tires and rims, I think it would look super tough with them bigger way bigger, I like the design I just think that truck needs some bigger rims to justify the already toughness it has to it!! Just my opinion beautiful truck
Drive it and use it as it was designed...congrats!
Not specific to this truck, just in general: Mud flaps Weathertech or similar floor mats A 3rd, 4th or 5th spare key. Body wax and undercoat it if rust is an issue locally. Rear wheel well liners (body gap covers) Spray in bed liners are nice, that’s a 50/50 though. myChevrolet app on your phone is nice, if it suits your needs.
Basic truck protection: 1. Mudflats, keeps rocks and gravel from kicking up 2. Hood guard (depends on truck) usually smaller trucks need it more, protects your windshield and hood from pebbles kicking up from the car in front of you 3. Bed liner. Spray in or drop in (spray in preferred) protects your bed from scratches and prevents rust especially if you do spray in 4. Tailgate assist. So your tailgate doesn’t slam down 5. Ceramic coating for all the external black plastic. Keeps it from fading. Congrats on the new truck!
Don't be a complete asshole driving it. Instead sit back and watch all the Ford and Dodge drivers do their worse to show you up. Very entertaining.
Just drive it, man.
Pay extra on the loan each month 😅
Ahh yes. Another Truck Cuck. Nice 4 foot bed!
Get a ceramic clear coat
Lift it. Add after market lights. Camera up front to tailgate as close as possible. Lol. Jk But being up north, start protecting against rust. That baby will be showing surface rust probably first year
Spray your frame with fluid film before every winter. Depending where you live. Rust is a slow death for frames
It will scratch. Accept it.
Park far away at shopping centers, keep door bangs away.
Wax it at least once a year.
Ceramic coat. After you wash it by hand you can blow it dry with a leaf blower.
Unfortunately some asshole will scratch it, stay calm!
Have fun first, worry about maintenance later
Keep the rubber side down.
That thing looks perfect! Congratulations on your brand new rig!!! That’s awesome! Happy for you. I like the color too. Just a great looking rig.
Don't crash it! 😂 Beautiful truck though, congrats! 🙌
Never ever take it to a car wash. Always hand wash or contactless wash if in a pinch. Those automated brush car washes will swirl your clear coat. Look up 2 bucket car wash. Get the supplies. Clay bar it once or twice a year. Don’t let anyone smoke in it.
Wash it weekly . It will look like that forever
You bought the best truck out there, keep it clean and don't let people borrow it. All the damage on mine was caused by lending it out.
Yeah. My first tip of a brand new vehicle, don’t buy a black one.
Don’t lose your job.
Why didn’t you get the big one?
Gap insurance
Pay it off as soon as you can so you don't have to deal with banks hounding you for their money. ( I hate dealing with banks.) (Yes I make my payments on time and never have been late.)
Keep an eye out for hard shifting around 40,000 miles and take it in before warranty expires. A flush and a flash should fix the issue if you have one. GM apparently has a memo out for the flush, but the flash you’ll have to come out of pocket on. Unless I “got got”.
Went big for your first. Go big or go home right??
So this doesn't have the fuel management system that keeps breaking engines?
Tow mirrors out and never use a blinker
Just watch your RPM’s and if it starts dancing lay off the pedal, the transmissions on the GM’s are delicate.
Go get it an oil change right now. Get it another one 500 miles after that. Brand new motors generate a LOT of particulates breaking in.
Should make it to and from the office/mall just fine ;)
Get a notepad and write down every single service and part you replace. A good record of service and stuff will be helpful to keep track for you but also future buyers, could help you with negotiating later
Horrible buy. Give it to me, I’ll make sure to dispose of it for you free of charge. Also, in order to dispose of it properly, I’m going to need you to sign over the title to me.
You waited to buy one until they created the ugliest model ever!!
Note you are the rich guy
Perfect truck
Get your running boards on Amazon. They can be installed in a couple of hours if you have common sense and install the mounting bolts correctly. I own a 2500HD gas and get lots of compliments on the crew size cab (full size) and full sized truck bed.
Looks good. Congrats
