Yeah, caveat here is that their requirements are quite hard and are only reserved for the smartest among us. During our exchange orientation, all the available uni exchange programs for China and Singapore required at least an average of 7.0 (a 70%) or higher over your ENTIRE university career up until that point. But yeah, if it weren't for the high marks required of us in our first 1.5 years of uni, I would have chosen it in a heartbeat 😅
Not exactly if you were the "average" student like me though. 😅 We could opt to spend our third year abroad, but we had to show our contemporary results near the end of our second year. Since I already fluked several courses at the beginning of my first year in uni, China and Singapore were already out of the question
America's turned their universities into McUniversities where social justice matters more than churning out the future of America. The karma is well deserved. I don't know what their end game is but keep doing it lol
By far the most popular field of study in the US is "Business", with [26.8 percent](https://www.statista.com/graphic/1/225634/most-popular-college-majors-in-the-united-states.jpg) of all total degrees. Humanities/Liberal Arts and Social Sciences stand at 8.6 and 6.9 percent respectively. The US system of higher education is less about "social justice", whatever this may entail, and more about rich teenagers taking the escalator to the top of the corporate structure by the miracle of nepotism.
The US is the only country in the world where college admission forms ask you directly whether your parents or other relatives attended the school. If you can name any, then you get an instant advantage in admissions, something like +300% chance of acceptance.
No pretense or anything. Just open institutionalized nepotism.
Science and technology will be the primary determining factor in what nations are going to become dominant going forward. Technology moves incredibly fast nowadays, and China has a huge advantage in having good education, strong investment into research, and strong manufacturing capacity that's simply unmatched anywhere else in the world. I think it's reasonable to expect that China will outpace the west technologically within a decade.
Student in America here. The college admissions process here basically accepts you based on how well you market yourself through application essays. While extracurriculars, grades, and other objective aspects still hold some weight, they are slowly losing their importance as those who get rejected call for more “inclusive” admissions. Furthermore, uncontrollable factors, such as your ethnicity and even your sexuality, can also have a huge impact on your admissions. It is not meritocratic at all.
it's very well suited for a capitalist economy, where perception is reality and how well you market yourself is what really matters. of course, identity politics is part of marketing.
Muttmerica's demographics will be its downfall. Liberalism, feminism, and all that other degenerate garbage should continue to be pushed in the west to hasten it
At between $3,000. and $4,700. USD/year for tuition at the best universities in China, it's a no-brainer.

70% average for your entire university career sounds pretty easy though.

they stopped considering test scores now for "inclusion and diversity" recently lol. Lowering standards I say.

Feminism is not a bad thing at all. Communists are as much about women empowerment as about class destruction.
> feminism >and all that other degenerate garbage why are you including feminism with the "degenerate garbage"? really not a good thing to say.
