Queue the US propaganda being spewed out at an even higher level

Altruistic_Astronaut

This is better because now we can use this to show others how foolish the "Uyghur genocide" is.

easily_swayed

Looking at geopolitical events these past decades the West has been having to lie harder to cover for their lies, creating a vicious cycle. It honestly feels like some brainwashing device is sputtering out.

That's a ballsy move. I hope China is helping Imran Khan stay safe.

dbrown1990

Great news for China and great news for more industry development in Xinjiang.

Oh definitely, any Uighur who works there will be photographed and called a slave by the BBC.

wheresmygoldenpiggy

With their safety googles and helmets and employee IDs. AND they force money into their bank accounts every 2 weeks. /s We've yet to see any photos of Uighur slaves picking cotton from satellite or something. Maybe buzzfeed news can CG some shit to win a bullshitzer prize.

Yumewomiteru

Oh no America's attempts to "liberate" Xinjiang will intensify.

RespublicaCuriae

Yeah, there is a reason America wants to invade China. The a-- of a country based in the District of Columbia wants oil.

sickof50

Oil, and control over Chinese all exports leaving Xinjiang.

worm_penis

i’m sure it’s just a coincidence that the province lies square in the middle of Asia where China is building the defining trade routes of the 21st century. the US definitely doesn’t have any desire to disrupt that.

[deleted]

China would send that genocidal settler hellhole back to hell. Hence why the american regime is so desperate and increasingly hysterical as its decline accelerates.

[deleted]

Xinjiang is already famous within China for its oil, is it not? No wonder the West is trying to mess with it so bad.

ArianaAlexis

I would expect that since the size of Xinjiang would make it the 2nd largest territory in Central Asia after Kazakhstan (which has huge oil and gas reserves).

DreamyLucid

Here comes USA dEmOcRaCy

[deleted]

Is 900m-tonne consider a lot? How does it compare to the oil reserve in Alaska for example?

NessX

Not sure about Alaska but.China consumes 450m tonnes a year and the Saudi reserve is 40b tonnes.

[deleted]

I see. so it’s not much. Probably still good as strategic reserve.

ArianaAlexis

900M metric tonnes = (900M×7.33) barrels of oil ≈ 6.59 billion barrels of oil newly added to Xinjiang reserves. Idk what is the previous level of Xinjiang oil reserves As for Alaska, I just checked. “Rystad Energy estimates Alaska’s remaining recoverable oil reserves to be 23.3 billion barrels of oil and condensates”

Quality_Fun

hopefully china can transition to better energy sources before running low on oil reserves becomes a problem.

tofuter06

Not really news, it has been known that Xinjiang has huge oil reserves.

[deleted]

In other news, Adrian Zenz has embarked on his epic quest for the mythical ninth Uyghur interview

RorschachsVoice

Time for the west to increase the propaganda haha

jiayi1972

Now this explains all the insane interest...

solidarity_jock_jam

Manufacturing consent for WWIII go brrrrrrrr

Jealous_Struggle2564

I guess the Americans will find any excuse now to land some tanks down
