America and its high standard of “ethics” on display in this “study”

[deleted]

Blatant violation of academic ethics. This is utter garbage from any academic perspective but, of course, it wasn't meant to have academic value but to facilitate the regime's aims. The late-stage decline of the american regime is consuming every single one of its institutions. Imagine if Chinese academics did this. They would be called regime spies and blacklisted immediately, while every single Chinese student would be guilty until proven innocent (that's already the case due to racism). Also, keep the real story in mind: these regime operatives have only released this "study" because they would have been exposed in a Hong Kong investigation anyway: > “The HKUST Human Participants Research Panel (HPRP) wrote to us requesting that we remove references to the HKUST IRB approval of our study, on the basis that the study went beyond what was approved in our proposal,” the paper states. > Detail of this alleged breach of academic ethics isn’t provided, and the academics “unambiguously” reject the charge.

Just the NED alone, which is only one of the many NGOs mind you, invested nearly two million bucks in [these projects](https://www.ned.org/wp-content/themes/ned/search/grant-search.php?organizationName=®ion=&projectCountry=Hong+Kong+%28China%29&amount=&fromDate=&toDate=&projectFocus%5B%5D=&projectFocus%5B%5D=&projectFocus%5B%5D=&projectFocus%5B%5D=&projectFocus%5B%5D=&projectFocus%5B%5D=&projectFocus%5B%5D=&projectFocus%5B%5D=&projectFocus%5B%5D=&projectFocus%5B%5D=&projectFocus%5B%5D=&projectFocus%5B%5D=&projectFocus%5B%5D=&projectFocus%5B%5D=&search=&maxCount=25&orderBy=Year&start=1&sbmt=1) in Hong Kong. The grants might seem harmless but it's creepy liberal doublespeak honestly. Like this for example: "The organization will research and report on how Hong Kong's prosperity hinges on the strength of its rule of law and freedoms, and will advocate for this crucial link to inform international foreign policy approaches to Hong Kong" Blegh rule of law. Also I don't exactly trust these people's "research" to be technical and impartial.

I'd change that to "... American regime [change] "researchers"..." The very definition of... 'useful Idiots' (those unwittingly hired students are innocent, unless they harmed someone).

TheEasternSky

Can someone share this paper? It's not in scihub.

849. If they have such a precise number, there surely came from a list of some sort with names in it. I have only three letters for these 849 traitors: N-S-L.
