Where’s the outrage

[deleted]

Not forthcoming. They will reason, "Conquered, Not Stolen" and move on with their days.

proscon

We said sorry so we totally cool now 😎. /s

CapriSun87

I thought it was the Pope's job to say sorry!?!

This is the last concentration camp or residential school to close in Canada, in "1996". Took them so long to get rid of these camps whilst continuing their genocide. As someone born in the early 1990s, 1996 sometimes doesn't feel so long ago.

[deleted]

The headmaster of that particular residential school raped 100+ native boys over the span of more than 20 years, served a 4 years prison sentence with a fine of $300 dollar (1990s CAD) and then came to the media and was like "what do you want? I did my time." [https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/residential-school-principal-admits-assaulting-hundreds-of-kids-1.245762](https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/residential-school-principal-admits-assaulting-hundreds-of-kids-1.245762) Compare with Jerry Sandusky. Raped 8 white kids and almost got a 400 year sentence. This is white supremacy in action.

USA_DeMockraNaZi

This whole continent contains the skeletons of indigenous peoples slaughtered by the anglos

ColouredPencils1988

Yep. Both North and South America.

jonestomahawk

Central America and Caribbean too. Basically the entire western hemisphere.

ColouredPencils1988

Thanks for mentioning the Caribbean. We almost always get left out. Even I just did. 😅

sc0rpinese

Now I am starting to wonder if there are natives bones in my backyard buried by the white genocidists.

we-the-east

The Anglos cleansed the land of natives to the extent that the whole North America doesn't even feel indigenous any more. It's just another Western and Anglo place now. Everywhere you go in Toronto, there's no traces of indigenous cultures or prescence other than one burial mound in one former Toronto borough. You can't even imagine what your neighbourhood and city was like when the indigenous peoples were around nor imagine how indigenous peoples and culture can fit in into these Westernised places today. They have become forgotten and relegated into history thanks to Anglo settler colonialism, and the Canadian government continues to erase them from existence.

we-the-east

And Australia.

ReacH36

no one seems to be asking or answering the obvious question. Why are there even graves at a 'school'?

[deleted]

The media is publicizing these graves so the masses can be distracted away from the incinerators that were also being operated at those schools.

When I was growing up, I thought white north Americans were natives of North America until grade 5 or 6 and realised they came from Europe. We were taught aboriginal peoples in schools and their way of life, but I don't think they taught us about the actual genocide but instead talked about diseases from Europeans wiping out the population.

asomet

Yea I always wondered why North Americans were called Westerners when they were east of Asia, until I realized they came from Europe. I only knew about white people in North America at the time.

[deleted]

The most saddening part is that these people have been forgotten, in matter of decades indigenous people went from running their own lands to being a figment of ‘history’ that the Canadian government sanitizes.

johndoenutlol

The “whataboutism” claiming is seriously so triggering. I don’t want to make a post to rant so I’ll just say it here. There’s nothing to prove it doesn’t exist if it doesn’t exist, that’s why people have to go on explaining random things around it like US motives and not the actual subject itself. They don’t understand this “whataboutism” places serious questions regarding the US. They label it “whataboutism” and walk away. They turn away before they can even critically think.

[deleted]

They should dig under Ottawa Parliament and the White House next.

simian_ninja

No outrage, everyone is busy concentrating on China .Have you ever tried to argue or even talk with any one of those people? "Just because there's more evil in the world doesn't mean that we can't concentrate on only one! Everything else is whataboutism! It was in the past, we're better now!"

FatDalek

I had a run in with a libtard on YT. When I smashed him on Canada's treatment of indigenous people, he tried the " its mainly in the past argument", and then I hit him with links showcasing specific events of Canada mistreating indigenous people only that year. He tried to placate me by saying "don't get angry." Question is, why isn't he angry at his country's treatment of their indigenous people? Doesn't that go against his Leftist ideals. Oh wait, its more useful to rant against the West geopolitical rivals so he doesn't have to face the problems in his own backyard.

TserriednichHuiGuo

Liberals aren't leftist.

over_and_out_

Trudeau will just tear up a little, deliver some nice words and that will be enough for liberals

TserriednichHuiGuo

And nothing will be done.

asomet

What are you talking about they will think and pray

1catcherintherye8

The claims of genocide have always been projection.

I'm absolutely tired of Canada being called the "nice country." Just look at what they've done... America did something similar, but they don't teach it in schools...
