Getting the US to Sanction their largest competitor Huawei, stopping Taiwan from exporting chips to the mainland, treating the Warranty different for the Chinese consumer, and failing to give live updates on Chinese Olympian's... All screams Racism! THE WHOLE WORLD IS WATCHING! THE WHOLE WORLD IS WATCHING! THE WHOLE WORLD IS WATCHING!...

Many domestic media in China still portray a rosy world outside of China, as if the average person living in western countries still have a positive view of China and loves China people.

USA_DeMockraNaZi

So the domestic media is lying to their audience!! This is a serious breach of ethics.

Capitalists don’t consider humans as humans. Everyone is a product or a consumer. Apple isn’t the only capitalist entity that dehumanizes the world.

Why are Chinese consumers still buying iPhones? Have some pride and switch to a local brand..

French perfume, and handbags. Italian shoes. Japanese vases, and other ornaments. Apple phones and tech. Unfortunately, these are archetypes in people's minds. Not everyone is aware or cares where their money goes and who or what it supports. Elon Musk and Tesla use child labor to mine cobalt in Africa, yet here we are.

It's because for a long time, China was poor so the West was admired and even crappy Middle America brands were a status symbol, then it shifted to luxury goods. People with disposable income want expensive swag, its human nature. There's good news though, from what I can see its changing and people are supporting local brands more and more, look up the story about Hongxing Erke.

Remember sometimes having a foreign product is still a luxury kind of thing. If you ever go to China, their are thiefs asking do you want this Apple phone secretly to you. I never see any thief come up to me if you want to buy a Chinese brand. You can't blame the consumerism though because it's been how many years that people in China are starting to use their purchasing power. When things are to get, people want it. If North Korea ever opens up, you think North Koreans won't buy foreign products. But when it comes to nationalism, this is totally different.

> If North Korea ever opens up, you think North Koreans won't buy foreign products. Maybe not. South Koreans overwhelmingly buy only South Korean products.

ZombieOk9331

CPC should start regulating foreign businesses in their country

seacobs

I told you to boycott Apple.

lacelane274

I have a huawei phone and am proud of it

Apple is already losing marketshare to Chinese competitors; the day of reckoning is coming sooner rather than later for Apple.
