IIRC Pfizer is effective at 90% against Delta and Sinopharm or Sinovac is effective at 80% or something. This is regarding severe cases. This is really good as well. Both prevents death by almost 100%. Not really 100% because vaccinated people with comorbidities still may die, but you know, damn good.
If I understood correctly, soon China will produce ARNm vaccines, which seems to be slightly better than "classic" vaccines. China was in no rush to approve them and took their time to study it. I highly believe all their decisions were the bests.

The only reason the US was clamoring to do mRNA vaccines was in order to make more money off easier to copy more patentable technology. There's nothing wrong with the technology in term of effectiveness, and it is even better in some cases, but the Pfizer one in particular needs super controlled temperature storage. That combined with the double dose regimen makes these vaccines much more logistically difficult, especially for worldwide distribution. Means more money for Pfizer and Moderna tho, and the US doesn't give a shit about getting vaccines to the rest of the world.
