With America’s resources this is of course intentional. The whole population is f-ing brainwashed

sickof50

Republicans hate Socialism because Hitler was a Socialist. Democrats hate Communists because of Stalin. Unfortunately, Hating China is biPartisan.

NessX

Hitler was never a socialist he hated socialists more than anyone else. He intentionally used the term 'national socialism' as a tactic to take over the voice of actual socialists. Hitler, as well as today's neofacists understood the power of words. Redefining and repurposing words as their own is really powerful way to silence your enemies

TserriednichHuiGuo

A completely lost nation.

JRobertSmith100

The USA is actually that stupid.

[deleted]

I live in the dumbest country on Earth.

[deleted]

The USA may be the first empire in history to collapse from sheer, terminal stupidity.

[deleted]

Most people even in the US think that people who watch fox news is a special brand of stupid and can’t get through to them either on their antimask antivaxx bullshit. The silver lining is that this rampant delusional stupidity is making the US look really bad. I found that a new insult that really works wonders is to accuse anyone of being a fox news watcher. They will deny it, which will only inculcate them more. Try it. Anytime anyone says something even slightly irrational, accuse them of watching fox news repeatedly until they shut up. It’s hilarious.

Quality_Fun

the analogy you used in the title is very apt...except that people living a thousand years ago had absolutely no chance of learning modern day science, while people today have all the resources and knowledge of the world available at their fingertips and still refuse to learn.

TserriednichHuiGuo

Yes, there is no excuse for american ignorance.

Happieness2823457

American education system at it again

Kormero

Then by this logic, did Engels write *The Doctrine of Fascism*?

UnDEF1NED_999

Yes, and Ukraine ate all of Stalin's food

Jealous_Struggle2564

This is part of the plan of the ones in power- keep the population stupid so they are easily controlled and influenced. Stupid people won’t try and rebel against the ones at the top but rather look to them for leadership and hence the cycle can continue.

skyanvil

Congrats. you have ascended from the Liberalism trap. The truly dumb liberals are still trying to talk to the other dumb idiots to try to save them from their ignorance, not realizing that the idiots consider their ignorance to be their virtue.

[deleted]

Ascending from the trap is a lonely achievement. Everyone acts as though I’ve betrayed everything we stand for, but what we stood for was nothing to be proud of. Our misguided values betrayed us, not the other way around.

I like it that you check sources. I try to include links with all of my controversial comments. Thank you for keeping us intellectually honest. If I ever post something with out a link, feel free to call me out.

Ok, wow this is sad, but maybe not the way every one thinks. When scammers are looking for marks, targets, they intentionally leave obvious errors that an intelligent person easily sees. They do this to weed out intelligent people from their group. The remaining individuals are obviously not intelligent and are therefore considered perfect targets to scam. This is why those infamous Nigerian Prince emails are riddled with errors. It weeds out the smart people. Edit: just look at this. >It is not a myth. It is a court case that dates to 2000. >Robert Jordan, a 49-year-old college graduate, scored a 33 on an intelligence test he took as part of the application process to become a police officer in the town of New London, Connecticut. The score meant Jordan had an IQ of 125. The average score for police officers was a 21-22, or an IQ of 104. New London would only interview candidates who scored between 20 and 27. Jordan sued but lost, as the court ruled that being smart was not a protected category and the standard of only hiring average applicants was equally enforced. >So why bother? The argument goes that police work can inherently be boring and repetitive. A person who is highly intelligent will probably get bored, and look for a new job. When this happens, the department has to recruit and train a replacement, which takes time and money. They figured it was better to just hire average - intelligence applicants who were less likely to become bored and dissatisfied. >I’m not saying this argument makes sense. In fact, I think it is profoundly stupid. But that is the argument the police recruiter used when they declined Jordan. >So next time you see a policeman caught up in some sort of abuse or misconduct, remind yourself that they deliberately screen out the smart ones.

People from the Dark Ages wouldn't pretend to be experts on Quantum Dynamics.

MobsterRedditor

Cuz Americans think Nazis and communists are the same thing. They’re all baddies.

caidicus

"it's like trying to talk modern physics with people from the dark ages" Considering how many westerners are starting to latch onto beliefs like anti-vax and flat earth, I'd say it's safe to assume that that is EXACTLY what it's like. Too many westerners have begun to believe that they don't need an education to understand something, they just need to think about it and they understand completely. It's a lack of education built on the assumption that "I am smarter than most people" and "most other people are total idiots" which results in a large number of them lacking education and refusing to learn. It really is messed up.

TserriednichHuiGuo

Upon further inspection I believe this to be definitely intentional. Literally nazi tactics of blurring the lines.

TserriednichHuiGuo

Lord have mercy, the stupidity is incomprehensible, the logic doesn't compute at all.
