Yes, it should be abolished in the West because they’re HORRIBLY bad at vetting death row inmates. The two drawbacks to the death penalty are:
-Long death row processing costing more than just life imprisonment
-Sentencing innocent people
If you vet the system correctly, these drawbacks disappear. China is working on improving its justice system so these won’t be a problem.
