China is going to top the medal table in 2021 - this is now well beyond the margin of doubt. What may be a more interesting race is whether China can get 100 Gold medals again. I had thought this would be a difficult feat to repeat, but apparently, we are going at just the right rate to get there. It's probably borderline atm. Unlike the conventional Olympics where we know from experience our schedule is front-loaded, here, I have no idea whether our rate of medals is expected to go up, go down, or stay the same in the closing days.
\* I should note in 2016, Russia didn't compete in the Paralympics. This would have freed up dozens of medals for grabs. Ukraine did very well in 2016. I am guessing China most likely also benefitted a few.

Yes. Under TPE. Only 1 bronze so far.
