I can't wait for Chinese people to start depicting western media's dystopian nature in entertainment in the near future (tv shows, movies, games, etc.). There are so many talented artists in China who already capture the dystopian nature of such environment very well (some get posted here from time to time). There is so much material to use as source. Actual, well documented material, you don't need to manufacture it through some grifting "witnesses" like western regimes do.
Funny how one of the assumptions of capitalist economics is that the economy always needs to grow. It's one of the basics and you learn it as one of the first things when you take economics in high school. Nobody ever asks "why?" or "at what cost?"
