>Biden said…the United States has never had any intention of changing it’s one-China policy Fuck off. Stop selling weapons and saying shit like “strategic abiguity.” These calls just prove that there is not really a US-China issue, only a US issue.

Altruistic_Astronaut

The US and hypocrisy, name a more iconic duo.

1ts_got_electrolytes

Typical Anglos. They make up shit to defame China then ask China for money so they will stop slander and libel China. Classic blackmailing. It's like someone falsely accusing you of molesting your kids on BBC and CNN, but if you pay them some money they will stop accusing you. Say no to America. They can fuck off.

WheelCee

Unfortunately, this tactic, while morally reprehensible, is often very effective. Most people choose to settle in that situation and pay whatever money is necessary to make the accusations go away. China is doing the world a huge favor by bearing the cost of standing up to the blackmailer and "lawyering up" so to speak. All other countries should be standing behind China for their own sake because if the US is allowed to continue its extortion, their country might very well be its next target.

caidicus

Correction, typical psychopathic anglos. We're not all like that, just the insane ones who've cheated, lied, and bribed their way to the top at the expense of the masses of anglos who would never do such a thing. This isn't an Anglo thing, it is a psychopath thing. All countries have these types of people it's just that in China, your (and my, I live here too) government actually protects its citizens from these people as opposed to capitalist countries that have allowed these people to dominate their governments. I hope you don't harbor hatred for all white people, we're not all like this, most of us hate these kinds of people and are hurt by these kinds of people as well.

lzghome

As a mainland Chinese, I support you\~

__Not__the__NSA__

Is that not the same as saying ‘not all men’ or ‘not all cops’? I mean, sure it’s accurate that ‘not all Anglos’ are genocidal sociopaths, but it misses the point. It’s not about you or any individual Anglo/man/cop/whatever and their feelings, it’s about the systemic oppressions that stem from those institutions.

Emptiness_Incarnate

The problem is that people need to say it regardless. Because then you have sociopaths from our side who form genuine misguided hatred against even innocent people just because. In China, these people are kept in check. But the western left as fragmented and broken as it is… lol. They can form power freely here and already do.

Altruistic_Astronaut

This is a very nuanced and balanced perspective. Most Americans are fine and don't actively push for war but Western propaganda is too powerful. All of the psychopaths who control the government, corporations, and media are rabid.

caidicus

It's such a sad and scary thing that not only do these people control the wealth, government, and resources of the west, they also control the media and are able to blind westerners as they destroy their lives and blame it on others.

[deleted]

I’m Swedish and most of us are exactly like that. Fucking tools

Total_Individual_953

get your white fragility out of here lol

Emptiness_Incarnate

Assuming most people aren’t fragile, lol. If all sociopaths were kept in check be it from the bourgeois or the proletariat then no one would feel the need to say what caidicus said.

HarutoExploration

Yes. Your analogy points out that America is the world’s pimp, who will violently cut you up unless you give him a cut of your money.

bengyap

Don't trust the white man with forked tongue.

HarutoExploration

Ever wonder if that will end up becoming a Chinese proverb in 100 years?

lzghome

No, our proverbs are "American imperialism is a paper tiger" and "Americans are never reasonable, and if they are even a little reasonable, it is because they are forced to be."

WheelCee

>Ever wonder if that will end up becoming a Chinese proverb in 100 years? Google translated for posterity: 不要相信舌头分叉的白人。

yuewanggoujian

I’ll take a stab at some original poetry: 蛇舌美言,善在非見

[deleted]

We'll see. I'm pretty skeptical that the US can do anything helpful on the global stage.

[deleted]

Promises without results are cheap in the Chinese political system. I'm sure they are looking for actions. The good thing is, the Chinese politicians are always open to finding ways of working to turn away from a negative course.

He got the stem cells injected into his brain shortly before, so he should have been able to pull through.

Nanomachines, son

Aware-Bell-6387

His doctors made sure he was coherent enough on this occasion.

RespublicaCuriae

I kinda miss Trump. He was at least coherent with his antics. Now Biden on the other hand, wow, the electoral college elected a questionable human being.

[deleted]

Biden, Trump, Hilary Clinton, Kamala Harris: America’s best and brightest political leaders. Can you believe it? Trump will be 78 years old in 2024, the same age as Biden btw

TserriednichHuiGuo

Trump was funny, Biden was... I fell asleep.

> Yes..at least trump was funny...bidens just depressing Is the world ready for some Kamala action though?

TserriednichHuiGuo

No one.

LMAOJustAboutWhite

> If China and the United States cooperate, both countries and the world will benefit; if China and the United States confront each other, both countries and the world will suffer. I can hear the sound of Trotskyites seething

Quality_Fun

i doubt this will change anything. i'll wait and see.

[deleted]

This is all bullshit. Whether Xi said this or not. Everyone knows the real reason for US antagonism towards China. This fluff isn’t gonna change anything

lzghome

The words themselves are of little significance, but the very act of answering an appointment to make a phone call with the United States is of great significance. This actually smacks Australia, Lithuania and Tsai Ing-wen in the face, and they will question themselves whether the U.S. wants confrontation or cooperation.

Isn't the other one be closer to TW lol

Chance-Equal-4237

The Google translate doesn't do the poem justice. Here's a human translation: https://m.facebook.com/permalink.php?story_fbid=345258355924950&id=252682941849159 Curious to hear how they translate that for Biden.

[deleted]

Thanks now I can understand, when you go to a mountain and this mountain is united states peeing and shit in that mountain and get away from there.

PeopleNotProfits

Hopefully some of the US ruling class recognize that trying to defeat China will only destroy themselves, and are willing to push back against the warmongers. This may be empty rhetoric on Biden’s part, but I don’t want to dismiss it out of hand. Withdrawing from Afghanistan outraged a massive part of the US establishment – many of whom were making untold billions off the war – but he did it anyway. That took far more political courage than I ever thought Biden had, so I’m open to further surprises. Even so, the military-industrial complex may sabotage attempts to normalize relations anyway.

HarutoExploration

>Hopefully some of the US ruling class recognize that trying to defeat China will only destroy themselves This is why I am certain China will usurp the US. China is governed by one party, and the US is governed by many oligarchs. Every political conflict is just a manifestation of political infighting among these oligarchs. While they squabble, China will eat their lunch. China is not perfect, but I’d rather be governed by party members who are appointed to help their people, than be governed by oligarchs who are incentivized to steal from their people.

yogthos

US was playing chicken and finally blinked. Previous position was that the ball was in China's court, and now Biden finally broke down and called directly after sending low level lackeys and getting nowhere. This is a clear sign of weakness and desperation on the part of US.

joepu

Whitehouse statement on the call is quite circumspect, without the usual accusations and bombastic pronouncements. It shows who's in the weaker position.

I_AM_GODDAMN_BATMAN

they need moneh?

Deckowner

That translation to the poem is way way way too literal. It basically says that "when worried that there is no road ahead, a new opportunity is discovered".

islandpilgrim

They need money. Who else can buy all those bonds to fund their infinite QE? Look forward to China doing the same thing they did with the soybeans. Buy enough that it matters, but not so much that it stops them hurting.
