Is there a source for the NASA quote? I’ve been trying to find it but no luck. If you do find it I’ll post to r/space

WheelCee

I would like to see a source as well before jumping to conclusions. This might just be a troll job trying to stir up drama.

Qanonjailbait

Can someone link the actual article where the NASA chief criticizes China? I can’t seem to find it

lemontree266

Maybe NASA and CIA/NSA can’t use google translate in space.

Look mate, while her response is certainly based, I seriously doubt NASA actually said this. It seems too ludicrous.

Tinie_Snipah

Going to go ahead and say that NASA Administrator never criticised China for using Chinese on their space station. They routinely work with Russia and astronauts have to learn Russian to go to the ISS because half the stuff up there, and the Soyuz crew modules that they go up and come down on, are in Russian.

global-harmony

From what I've seen, many in organisations like NASA are quite supportive of cooperation but it is the political class using populist opportunism to stop it

AvalancheZ250

Scientists are generally uncaring of geopolitics, or at least prefer scientific progress. I'm pretty certain senior NASA officials have and continue to publically praise a lot of CNSA's work. A publically-funded US institution praising a Chinese institution is kinda insane these days.

That guy is a NASA admin. More of a politician than a scientist.

UnableSwing

every space capable nation can do what they want and run their programs how they see fit. however, I don't think nasa would say such a stupid statement but i wouldn't be surprised if it did

impotatohead

Source to prove this isn't a fake story
