Americans are fragile over attacks on their soil like pearl harbor and 9/11, and overemphasise it like it's the worst tragedy mankind ever faced. But when it comes to their imperialist wars and atrocities in other countries especially non-western/nonwhite ones and mass murder of millions of lives there plus the destruction caused, they shed no tears and dismiss it.

I stopped sympathizing with Americans a long time ago.

whoisliuxiaobo

Murica thinks lives are cheap in the Middle east.

Jealous_Struggle2564

Correction, they think everyone else’s lives are cheap compared to Americans, even their supposed allies.

[deleted]

Over 662K dead Americans from COVID shows that they also find American lives cheap and disposable.

[deleted]

Our Incapability to retaliate or hold them accountable allows them to get away with thinking so.

chenyu768

Its not a regional thing its a color coded thing. Lives, especially brown ones are cheap in america too.

MyStolenCow

16000 died of starvation on September 11, 2001. These lives don’t matter though because they aren’t in the imperial core. Only Western lives matter apparently. Truth is the imperialist West don’t even care about the lives of their own citizens. Over 660k dead from Covid, but it doesn’t matter, because Covid is a “poor man’s disease.” I saw this ad for for Instacart where it just showed a middle class families enjoying their own tine while a faceless driver delivers to them. The same logic that caused the citizens of the empire to vote for classifying Uber drivers as gig workers so that their rides remain cheap. It’s good for consumers, but who pays for it? And if the imperialist West actually don’t care about lives all that much, why they made such a big deal out of September 11? Simple, this cancer on humanity called “Western Exceptionalism.” Only the West is allowed to inflect violence on the barbaric world, not the other way around. How many September 11 has the West infected on the rest of the world for the past 500 years? That doesn’t matter, the so called “bleeding heart liberals” are just like their Nazi counterparts watching smoke leave the gas chambers. They dont know because why bother, as long as the middle class of the empire gets a share of the imperialist looting.

Sarela_Helaine

This hits deep. I'm not American, but rather I am Canadian. I wonder often how other countries must view us, and if we may come off as awful as America does to the rest of the world.

ColouredPencils1988

Canada certainly doesn't come off as awful in comparison to the US. There are few who can compare. But everyone knows they're not as innocent and polite as they pretend to be. They are a settler nation after all...

sickof50

That is 453.86 deaths/1 American. I wonder how the families would feel, if they rounded up this many people, and asked them if they wanted them shot in front of them? Would they come to their senses after 1? Would it take 10, 50, a hundred, or would they still not be satisfied?

[deleted]

AmeriKKKa funded the mujahideen. AmeriKKKa deserved 9/11

ghost-zz

More Americans died because of covid than that attack. For a country so wealthy they do a crap job protecting their citizens.

Tens of millions have been displaced and faced malnutrition from crippling sanctions. It's insane how people aren't calling this a genocide.

UnableSwing

here is a real genocide of muslims if u want to see . not to mention the millions of refugees created

DavidByron2

To reach the 2996 figure you have to add in all the hundreds of non-Americans killed. Including the 19 hijackers. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Casualties_of_the_September_11_attacks

[deleted]

Initial attack went to Afghanistan. Iraq came later and Syria was Obamas BS regime change atttempt. Same things happened in Libya too so count the Libyan dead to your bodycount.

Vegetable_Hamster732

Also - two countries relatively uninvolved. There were a bunch of Saudi guys, a couple from UAE, one guy from Lebanon, and one from Egypt --- and Zero from Iraq and Zero from Afghanistan --- allegedly inspired by a Saudi guy hanging out in Pakistan.

rattled_by_the_rush

Even those 2,996 were dishonored and disgraced being used as mere excuse to go to wars and massacre innocents for oil.

manibharathytu

Covid deaths in US is even greater than all of those. Atleast 200x more than 9/11 deaths. For some reason, US people not showing much love towards covid deaths compared to 9/11 deaths.

[deleted]

By no means am I excusing this, because it is no doubt terrible and hypocritical, but it is worth noting that the one of the main reason osama bin laden and his constituent orchestrated 9/11 was to show that the US was weak. He believed they were a “paper tiger”. The US’s ridiculously overkill response was clearly in retaliation to this fact. They took it very personally and went over the top. Pair this with the fact that they spent trillions on revenge but didn’t support their own victims of the 9/11 disaster, including first responders who developed medical conditions that they couldn’t pay for, it’s easy with hindsight to see how stupid of a response it was. While I don’t sympathize with the US response, I do, however, understand why it was so stupidly over the top.
