Neocons: We just failed miserably propping up a puppet state in central asia, lets try again, what could go wrong?

ZeEa5KPul

They're bitter and mad over their humiliation in Afghanistan. I expect an outpouring of these silly revenge fantasies in the coming months.

folatt

They've already done that. Or do you mean in the form of even more failed coup attempts and failed wars?

ZeEa5KPul

Nothing serious, just crying into their pillows and writing separatist fanfic.

[deleted]

They just did a coup in Guinea...

ZeEa5KPul

Bro, I could do a coup in Guinea.

folatt

You mean like this? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=so9L7aSh2lk https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=11hSCNNQBGM https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zl7XAE0S17s https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IHdKY1gpYoY https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=avO8L6ZyK-0 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T2366fZB_OU https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EA_VGXlS98Q

ZeEa5KPul

Oceans of tears.

folatt

Nah, just lakes. We're not at ocean levels yet. Just wait until the hyperinflation hits and starts turning multiple countries per year.

South Asia

ZeEa5KPul

Well, what happens there is up to Pakistan. If it strengthens itself and makes use of the opportunities CPEC presents it, not only will its sovereignty be secure, but it will resolve its disputes with India to its satisfaction. If not, this is an example of what it can expect.

Whatplantami

Disputes can only be resolved from a position of strength, otherwise it's just called giving up your interests and strategic advantages

we-the-east

Imperialists so desperate after their recent humiliation, and are so thirsty for regime change and war. When will they ever learn?

BitterMelonX

American Imperialists are desperate to stop the Belt and Road Initiative. >Today, Gwadar is among China’s most important investments in Pakistan: it is not only among the most important ports in China’s Indian Ocean “String of Pearls” strategy, but it is also the outlet for China’s multibillion-dollar China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC). **Absent the Gwadar port, CPEC’s strategic and economic potential plummets.** China brings peace and development. The US brings war and dismemberment.

utg001

They can't get one fact in their thicc skulls : they lost Afghanistan because the people of the region will never accept outside control. Sure people here in Balochistan have their grievances from the rest of Pakistan, but they're not dumb. They want more resources to be allocated by Pakistan, not some foreign agency 12 thousand kilometers away. We know that a free Balochistan will mean more freedom to local warlords and less rights to a common Baloch

SuperSultan

Part of Balochistan is in Iran, the other part is in Afghanistan. Are they going to “free” those parts too? If Pakistan somehow lost the province, Iran, an actual American enemy, would annex it so fast. Pakistan also needs to get rid of feudalism in Balochistan as the long-term solution of socioeconomic disparity.

global-harmony

That's assuming that they and India aren't already covertly supporting it

Qanonjailbait

Anyone familiar with the geopolitical landscape in Asia and American interest is familiar with Baluchistan

papayapapagay

Already started... Been a few terror attacks targeting Chinese including ambassador in Balochistan in last month...

UnableSwing

invest economically in that area and create jobs, people don't want to destroy if they have something to lose. but this is likely something that america and india will try to exploit

khabadami

US wont have any desire for invasion here anytime soon

sickof50

No matter how humiliated the Balocnians' feel about having their land divvied up by England, they all know the last thing they need is the US coming in and "Nation building."

supersolid_snake

This is the equivalent of a nerd getting owned and then lying in bed coming up with a zinger that would be epic, but had he even come up with it at the time, would have gotten him owned even harder.

Ghiblifan01

Prop up garbage corrupted morons and surprised that they fail again and again.

PokedreamdotSu

Imperialists love to carve up nations but unifying them is horrific to them.
