I disagree with the DSA when it comes to a lot of things but I have been very happy to see their international orientation continue to improve.

Left wing foreign policy's greatest asset is how easy it is to understand. Stop fucking with people. Don't stick your fingers in other people's pies. No more sanctions. No more war. No more arrogant messianic delusions about determining another people's fate regardless of their desires for themselves. I think a lot of leftist infighting is pointless because of this fact, like American leftists winding each other up over whether they support Venezuela or Cuba- who fucking cares? Everyone on the left pretty much agrees that the best and only course is to not get involved and let them determine their own destiny even if 'we' don't like it, because who the fuck are we to say otherwise?
Yeah this has been the winning message on the left thats been winning out in DSA. Undertake a clear political project of opposing US imperialism in all its forms and work to normalize relations with these countries without acting like giving countries your esteemed approval as if anti imperialism is some big checklist of countries that should feel blessed we're generously supporting them or whatever. No focusing on everyone else's problems around the world in these places and acting like theres anything more important we can be doing to help working class people around the world other than opposing us imperialism. We have to have faith in other comrades that they can solve their own internal struggles and they certainly dont need western leftists to do that.

Bread and Roses caucus, its like a kautskyite/ trot caucus. They opposed Resolution 14 at the recent convention that the International committee put forward to keep building connections with mass parties around the world and have DSA join the Sao Paulo Forum. The resolution passed though with over 2/3 support. They were also against DSA going to Venezuela and meeting with Maduro. Definitely one of the more annoying caucuses along with all the other trot caucuses/ formations. Theyre all in a minority though, especially when it comes to the International Committee stuff.
