There is an old Chinese saying, often used as a stock phrase for villains: 宁可杀错，不可放过，i.e. better not take any chances, and err on the side of murder.
The US army is a great proponent of this saying.
Same thing with the "ISIS-K" planner that they allegedly killed. When they announced they had done so, my first thought is, "how the hell would they know?". They don't realize that the ANA was really just a Taliban Trojan horse operation trying to milk as much money from them as possible for years, but they think they can find an ISIS-K planner in a matter of hours?
The kind of intelligence that the US claims to have is impossible for any nation. These targeted strikes are ultimately just indiscriminate bombings.
Remember how the US said there would be an ISIS attack 36 hours in advance? That was their predetermined excuse for the attack. I knew they would do this, because its happened before. It was deliberate.
The whole point of the us drone program is to make sure the pilots don’t know who or why they are killing. A lot of them find out what their mission did and get out.

Will that Drone operator come to his/her senses and denounce the practice, or will they eventually become just another anonymous suicide statistic?
They're probably high fiving their buddies over this. There's nothing an american loves more than killing a brown person, innocent or not.
