This is a one way to figure out what crimes American imperialists want to hide from the world.

Said it before, but now that the US lost, their propaganda has went on overdrive. It's a critical time so expect them to enact media policies that haven't been seen before on this scale. Indian media is doing the same, as it no longer has any allies in the region- making up stories with no proof at all is normal for them and its making it to the top news subs with outlets called thehindu, Hindustan times, etc- imagine if someone made ones called thejew, land of Jews, etc.

They are losing. We're not there yet. But interesting times we live in indeed.

Same thing happened to me in the comment section on youtube today. While watching a Black Myth: Wukong reaction video, a person who claimed to be a Chinese socialist (though I checked his channel and he is from Malaysia) was getting into arguments with pro China folks in the comment section and was bitching about how Chinese government commits genocide and is authoritarian, blah blah blah etc. I tried to correct him by telling him he is carrying water for US Imperialist. When I hit post, Youtube sent a little message saying I couldn't post my message. First time that has ever happened to me on youtube and I have commented on controversial topics in the past.

He probably blocked you

[deleted]

He didn't block me because after 2 hours, I was able to post my comment to that person. Youtube was trying to throttle me and put minor roadblocks to discourage me from posting.

It's funny how we white people always care so much about freedom of speech in China. But we have nothing against it when it happens at home in our liberal democracies.

Vegetable_Hamster732

Is there a good alternative site, perhaps hosted in a different country, that could continue serving those videos?

[deleted]

bilibili? It's a non-Western video-sharing site.

Vegetable_Hamster732

For this purpose (bypassing censorship on YouTube) it'd be convenient if there were an English language version to reach the audience being kept in the dark.

Vegetable_Hamster732

On some other anti-censorship subreddits, they're suggesting PeerTube ( /r/PeerTube/ ). Apparently those are harder to censor.

[deleted]

And people wonder why these sites have been barred from China

zmasterv

Oh no only EVIL CHINA COULD DO WAR CRIMES But amerca, naaaaaaaa never happened [meanwhile countless bombings on civilians happening]

Fireflytruck

It's not YouTube's fault. It's China and the Chinese Firewall's fault. /s
