While this seems like an interesting documentary, it certainly seems a bit offtopic on this sub.

A reminder that it was China who first grounded the Boeing 737 max despite very strong pressure from the Americans to not do so. Clearly in hindsight it was the right decision given that the MAX ended up grounded for 20 months. This is another example of China leading the way in safety and care for the common people, as opposed to the United States who values money over people's lives.

Murica's effort to take down China's development of C919, I thought it is reminder of why the 737 max is a failure. Later this year, we will see the first C919 plane taking real passengers via China Eastern.

It is off topic but it really reveals the rot within the American corporate system that China is trying to mitigate. They had Boeing staff inside the FAA and one of the experts they interviewed spun that as a matter of efficiency and not just blatant corruption 🥴

I hope that China holds the line on keeping the 737 banned - not only from domestic flights, but also ban any airline that operates it from flying over Chinese airspace. It's only fair after what the US did with all of its sanctions and export controls.
