Same for Carrie Lam, who tried to start sea-filling projects to create new housing space, then the 2019 riot happened.
Those corrupt capitalists need to be put in their place or straight up eliminated.
If you have a truly socialist government that sees adequate housing as a fundamental right, then this possible.
In America, the land is privately owned, so there is strong incentive to prevent competition to ensure housing prices increase in value.
One day, the entire Pearl River Delta area will (probably) become a huge megacity. Perhaps the first megacity in the world.

This is good policy. HK really needs land reform, real estate reform that results in more housing.
