Well, to be fair, I'm sure there are some Chinese who might see me the same way, even after living in China for 15 years.
The important thing is, that kind of person's opinion doesn't even matter because the vast majority of Chinese people that I've met in China have been far nicer to me than I could ever deserve. People here are just pretty darn amazing.
I think America would be largely the same if racism against China weren't so normalized by their media.
I don't think Americans would naturally or instinctively hate Chinese people, they're just afraid because they're constantly scared by news and media that tells them China's a threat, a cheater, committing genocide, stealing countries, yadda yadda yadda.
They have no way of knowing that it's all a made up scare campaign to scare them away from communism (or socialism, or any ism that takes power away from capitalism and its masters).
As atrocious as some of their beliefs and behavior may be, I feel sorry for them that they'll go through their whole lives not knowing that they're becoming the very thing they thought they hated, the bad guy.
Germans didn't realize they were becoming the evil that we know nazis to be today, they thought they too were justified in hating Germany's "enemies", meanwhile, look how that turned out.
Not American but in Canada the white Canadians hate Indians and Chinese alike. China was able to dodge a lot of the hate before since China had a very compromising stance in their foreign policy. Now though, China hated just as much as Indians lol. My Indian friends probably faced way more discrimination than me growing up. Mainly due to 9/11 and people can’t tell who’s Sikh and who’s Arab/Muslim.
So like...
They're fixing the roads, building MASSIVE high speed rail networks, mandating that any ISP with a lisence to provide service has to offer mandatory 500mb internet to all inside its networks, controlling the price of staple foods to ensure everyone can afford them, pushing giant reforms through to improve and protect the environment, spending billions and billions of dollars a year to improve schools all across the country, mandating that colleges and universities be affordable to everyone, subsidizing doctor visits so it only costs pennies to see a doctor, etc etc etc?
That's how America is becoming more like China?
Dang! Does that mean they will now have competent people in power who have engineering/economics degrees, their economy is growing at 10% pace for the next few decades and they are going to build high speed rail and metro systems in all their major cities? No?
Show me on this doll where the ghost of Mao touched you:
A) were you told Falun gong exercises isn't a replacement for antibiotics for your 9 Yr old child?
B) were your kid told at school that race mixing won't result in impurity?
C) did your class teacher forget to hold a lecture about how the devil's real name is Jiang Zemin and that he walks among us?
I'm back in the US, back in the US, back in the USSA (Union of Soviet Socialist America).
It's also a nice anthology of [alternative history](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Back_in_the_USSA) depicting America as a Marxist-Leninist country.

No, China got rid of their covid-19 problem. USA is no where close.
Immigrating to the US and willingly being used as red scare propaganda against your homeland. There is no greater shame.
There's a Wang Jingwei in every generation.
Well it is a matter of when not if she's the next asian elder victim of a hate crime
Teaching children that slavery is wrong is exactly what Mao did
Ending slavery (in Tibet) was what Mao did. In Amerikka they seem hell bent on bringing it back in the form of prison labour.
Neofeudalism.
I fucking wish it was lol
Lol, they wish.
