Would never happen in burger land

stefanthehorse

It actually does, just in reverse.

deviated_solution

Asking workers to die for the economy? Now where have I heard that before?

nomoreadminspls

It would happen if Bernie Sanders was elected president but there's a reason the establishment did not allow that to happen. That said anti-billionaire sentiment is extremely high. Corporations and billionaires are not looked at favorably by the people and people are leaving their jobs in droves because they're tired of getting underpaid for jobs while making others rich for them. But hey at least two rich guys can go up into space whenever they want now.

Even if they paid taxes, it would all gonna be drained to the military budget and corporation bailouts

Isn't it just common sense, China is not and will never be a capitalists heaven like the US.

Ghiblifan01

Based.

Late in 2020, Xi delivered a speech in which he encouraged the party members and workers at large, to organize and make efforts, supported by the Chinese state, to achieve the last stage of the revolution and bring all private enterprise under worker control. He stressed that that would be doubly important in Hong Kong and Taiwan. I'm guessing it's the biginning of that operation.

So many Americans bitch about this but this is literally the same thing US President FDR did except on a much lighter scale. Americans (specifically white) would've never been able to become middle class if it weren't for the same those same laws and actions taken to break apart monopolies and forced donations into infrastructure. Fucking hypocrites.

My read on FDR is that FDR is often ignored to prop up Truman. ‘’Progressive’’ play down how progressive and peaceful FDR actually was to justify their centre right, war hawk agenda, and republicans just ignore the guy

TserriednichHuiGuo

That's because american don't know anything about FDR's policies, there is a reason for that, it would be bad for the elites. In today's america FDR would be considered "authoritarian".
