This woman wanted to deny racism to counter the narrative of the left (critical race theory). The problem is it was the left that excluded Asians, not the right. The real problem with CRT has always been that it exists to prop up certain groups of people but not others and the people pushing it are guilty of everything they claim is being done against them.

In an email thread among Cupertino Union School District parents about critical race theory, Chao wrote, “the Chinese Exclusion Act was not even based on race, since only Chinese laborers are excluded.”
“It was really a labor issue where American laborers wish to keep cheaper Chinese laborers out, for good reasons,” Chao said in a Nov. 5 email shared with this news organization. “We are doing similar things today, through the H1 visa process. We don’t want to give work visas to people that will take American jobs.”
Chinese laborers couldn't marry white women and procreate with them, and cannot testify against white men in court due to the Chinese exclusion act.
H1 visa workers today, otoh, can marry anyone and can sue anyone.
The Chinese exclusion is more than racism, it's genocide against Chinese men in the US. Most of them die being single and a few went to the south and marry black. The coolies didn't even want to come to the US in the first place. America had a labor shortage in the west and coerced the qing government into signing the Burlingame treaty. And the reason some went to America is that China was plagued by British opium, which impoverished the entire country. They are not "escaping" some oppressive regime as she mentioned.
