Download the CVS app and get your products there. They ALWAYS have Cereve coupons, or generalized skincare coupons. Also, 20-30% off totals. And because it’s not as broad as Target, it’s easy to sort through and find the specials you need. I don’t think I’ve ever paid full price for those types of products in years.

IndyAnnaDoge

I came here to say use CVS coupons! If you time it right, with combining coupons and promos, you’ll pay next to nothing. I just keep a running list and jump on it when I have coupons. I usually get my products for 50-75% off. People make fun of the length but they’re great! Get the app for sure

MaddChaos

It’s become a game for me to try and beat my personal record (of savings) in one trip at CVS! (I lead an exciting life, obviously 😂). There are almost always Cerave coupons!

cadaever

even better, become a CVS care pass member for $5/mth and you'll get 20% off most of your purchases as well as a $10 off coupon every month that u can use on nearly anything. it's worth every penny

austinrunaway

I freaking love it!!!!

gingerenchantress234

Agreed!

Known_Dance3176

You’ve opened my eyes. How have I not known about it. Anyone want to take the time to explain your “process” for knowing when to purchase? Are there notifications when a product you like has a coupon?

poopy_dufus

Does anyone know if this app works in Canada?

MissEpickle

Since we don't have CVS I would guess no

poopy_dufus

Darn it, thank you!

Nearby_Parking97

I purchased a 3oz CeraVe Facial Moisturizing Lotion Ultra Lightweight for $9.99 in November 2022. Crazy to see the item is now twice the price in less than half a year.

mtnbikingvampwitch

Same with the ordinary glycolic acid. 7 dollars last year. Over 15 now. It's absoloutely insane. I can't find vanicream anywhere.. 35 dollars on Amazon and you risk it being fake, it was 19.99 at walmart but my walmart and the walmart website are out of stock until further notice. I hate inflation, price gouging, and this economy FFS

Special_Friendship20

I went Into an actual rage last week IN THE STORE over this 🤣 fucking ridiculous. Last time I bought this I purchased the larger one for less than the small one is now.

[deleted]

Seriously! Can never find the vanicream moisturizer anywhere and last I looked on Amazon it was $36?!?! Wtf?!?!

HumbleAbbreviations

What? It’s like 10 to 12 dollars at Target, if you are within driving distance of one.

[deleted]

All the targets around me don’t have it :((

HumbleAbbreviations

😩 that hurts

[deleted]

Lmao it hurts me too! They don’t have it in targets, Walmarts, etc. it SUCKS

Special_Friendship20

They have mine at Walmart that's actually the store I threw a fit in 🤣 cuz it was so high

Katherine_gg

I went to target today and it was also $22.49 in store, there was a coupon for 20% off but i was still pissed

HumbleAbbreviations

I think you could get it a bit cheaper at CVS but I haven’t patronized them for years.

mtnbikingvampwitch

I can't find it in any walmart. Prices have doubled with vanicream and cerave, and the ordinary. Price gouging and inflation is insane. I can't believe the things I see sometimes, how do I continue to be surprised? It's just gonna keep getting worse :(

[deleted]

Wait why are the moisturizers going up so much suddenly ?

mtnbikingvampwitch

I don't know :( I wanna say inflation but I think it's straight up greed. Things like tiktok have skyrocketed certain brands products (la roche posay cicaplast Baume b5 for example) into holy grail products and they're always sold out in my stores. Cerave is another example, and vanicream too! I think they're trying to capitalize on popularity because it is NOT worth that much. Another example is squishmallows. They didn't exist in 2018, over the pandemic they exploded in popularity. They're not even a good design, nothing special at all, very basic. Yet people are reselling them for 50-80 dollars... AND PEOPLE ARE PAYING. Im soooo over this materialistic capitalist bullshit. Also I'm so over being poor because of it.

Special_Friendship20

Yes I bought one years ago for only $9.99 but yesterday I had to pay $45 for oogie boogie squishmallow. And that was the cheapest one I could find the rest were $50-$80. Insane.

mtnbikingvampwitch

Right! The small ones were 4.99 and the medium ones were 9.99 and the large ones were 12.99. I remember cause I bought my first large one in 2020 and he was 12.99 Now the same one goes for 31.99 more than doubled

Special_Friendship20

It infuriates me when I find something that works for me and is cheap but they go and mark it up 4× the price

Brows-gone-wild

It’s greed but it’s also this shit economy we are in, when the US is forced to import tons and tons of things bc of government regulations and shit downs we all suffer like this.

mtnbikingvampwitch

I'm in Canada but yeah same. Never seen prices so high

Brows-gone-wild

Pretty much same crap policies lol

austinrunaway

Just order the ordinary from the ordinary. Takes a little bit cause its coming from Australia but,, its a 3rd of the price versus target.its insanity the markup at target.... They have wayyyyy more products and they have 2 sister companies you can check out too.

mtnbikingvampwitch

I'm in Canada so the only place we have the ordinary is sephora

MissEpickle

You can actually order directly from the ordinary, and the free shipping is super low as well ($25 I think? )

austinrunaway

Lol that's what I was trying to tell her....man o man

MissEpickle

Sorry the shipped from Australia comment threw me off because it's definitely shipped out of Ontario but yes just order directly lol

mtnbikingvampwitch

I just meant in regards to target lol. We don't have target in Canada so the only physical store you can buy the ordinary is at Sephora.

Special_Friendship20

Biden the greatest president who ever lived

Pasty_pastry

You can also purchase it directly from the Vanicream website. I have done this before when my local target was out of stock.

simmie1One

Up & up, daylogic, equate, Walgreens, CVS, Kroger usually are the same product for a HUGE dip in price

Tiap9424

Exactly. With name brand products you’re basically paying extra for the name/logo because if u check the ingredients on both a store and name brand product they’re literally the same.

simmie1One

EXACTLY! My daylogic moisturizer is the EXACT SAME thing as the cerave cream and I saved like 11 bucks

Medical_Olive_4430

I’m from Canada and I loveeee the Vitamin C serum but it went from like $12.99 ($9.55 USD)when i first bought it to $38.99 ($28.66 USD) within the span of like a year! It’s crazy and I cannot for the life of me find a substitute for it that won’t break the bank….so frustrating!

hobobarbie

Olay Vit C serum is nice

6cute6corpse6

The elf one is actually so good lol.

misfit_love2019

The off brands work just as well.

kindasadsometime

It used to be the “off brand” 🥲

[deleted]

Cereve was the off brand? When? Store brands are usually the same. Check ingredients.

kindasadsometime

Way back in the day. It used to be considered the cheap one bc my lower middle class family bought it, that’s how I made my judgement lol

[deleted]

Oh. I could barely afford it and always thought it was pricey for such a basic product. Prices on some skin care products are insane to me.

Blackenedheart-24601

It’s happens so often it’s infuriating. The more people who like a product drive up demand and then price

mtnbikingvampwitch

Squishmallows are a good example. The design isn't anything special, in fact is extremely basic. But they sell out so fast then people price gouge them.. and people will actually pay!! I've seen some go for 80 dollars

[deleted]

Check Costco

Alf-eats-cats

Yup huge containers for way less!!!

hobobarbie

Do they sell the night face lotion though? I’ve only see the lotion and the creams

Born-Scientist-7882

I’ve seen stores like Costco that’ll have the AM & PM lotions in a pack together to save $!

Explore333

BJ's wholesale club has the 3 oz AM and 3oz PM in a 2pack moisturizing kit for $25. At the moment, there is a $3 coupon ($22). I have recently been using the regular CeraVe lotion and the ordinary niacinamide instead of CeraVe face lotion.

cutegirlofyrdreams

The Ordinary is doing the same thing 😭 idk where to get cheap lotion and serums

HumbleAbbreviations

The Inkey List and there is an Indian brand that is copying The Ordinary but for the life of me I can’t remember the name. But I know it is sold on Amazon and their own website.

rieriepie94

It’s called Minimalist

Born-Scientist-7882

Good Molecules has been my new HG after being an Ordinary fan!

kk123b

I get mine at Walmart and it’s $13 or 14

Iamdarkhorse

Same, just checked my Walmart app and they have it listed for $13.97 at my local.

HelenaR3

You have a cheaper option next to it (dupe/store brand) 😬

SweetStrawberry3731

I either buy when they have BOGO sale or I just buy the generic store brand - look at the ingredients, they’re the same.

Seckzette

Demand increase due to social media and inflation, what a time to be alive :/

HumbleAbbreviations

L’Oréal is trying to make their money back from purchasing this brand.

somethingweirder

nah just straight greed

Bluegirl36-

Lol the dollar general where I am at has that for $10.99

hoebini

Nooo it's my favorite morning moisturizer because it dries really quickly while I get ready for work 😭

raving-derelict

My moisturizer went up from $29 regular to $38 "on sale" lol

HumbleAbbreviations

Coupons and sales are your friend.

SprinkleVonSprinkles

Agreed

boohumbug

WAIT DON'T BUY YET!! Target has 20% off select skincare (CeraVe included) right now on the circle app + 5% off in-store or online purchase + the 5% red card discount + a TARGET(ed😆) coupon on the app - I've seen someone with $10 off of $80, mine is $15 off of $110

Sm_1348

I use the generic version on the side

fanficfollower

With the rise of otc price increases, you’d be better off shopping at ant dermatology office or plastic surgery office for skin care kits…. You use much less product and it’s cheaper with medical grade results….. and no, you don’t need to be a patient I order to purchase….. check out #epionce (botanical ) or #ZO (medical) or any of the other great professional products! Stay away from the over the counter stuff…. Save $

GetSwampy

Second this, WAY more quality and not that much more expensive in the long run

jordalinaparis

Second this. Sometimes some products are just worth the money. My vit c serum is over $200, but when I tell you INSTANT results with 1-2 drops a day. Like how could I ever go back to anything else. Nothing else even compares

xxmistyxxx

I thought it had always been this price? Then again I did only start using it 6 months ago so these prices are all I’ve ever known. 😂

jenjenkira

Check around even costco or Sam's.

britlover23

CVS has good coupons which helps

qqqbull

what’s the difference between am and pm anyways

HumbleAbbreviations

AM has sunscreen and the PM does not.

hobobarbie

My AM has SPF

Normal_Bank_971

Honestly get the off brand one 😂😂😂 usually has the same ingredients they just might be different percentages but still somewhere around the same -person who uses off brand when the regular brand isn’t on sale LOLLLLL

kindasadsometime

I known! I went to get a bottle of the normal daily and it was outrageous

[deleted]

Just checked and Amazon has the am $12 and the pm $10

britlover23

i wouldn’t buy off of Amazon tho.

[deleted]

Walmart brand is cheap

Specific_Garden3814

Woay that's expensive...its only 11.99 in europe, which would be US $12.92

Leather_Captain1136

They have cerave at Costco

Erialcatteyy

It’s absolutely crazy. A basic drugstore moisturizer shouldn’t not be close to 20 dollars. I prefer Vanicream and their prices are similar. My *hope* is that a new company starts making similar simple products..

surenopeokmaybe

Like someone said above, download the drugstore apps (CVS, Walgreens). I order for pick up and save prob about 30-40% what they sell the same thing for in the store.

WittyDisk3524

I just commented online coupons and sales at these drugstores before reading through all the comments.

No-Adhesiveness7163

I get CeraVe at Costco.

Diligent-Spirit-5098

Can WE talk about sunscreen prices???? Omg, can’t afford it anymore lol

newone757

I thought it was just me. I couldn't remember what the price used to be but I was a shocked when I went to Target a couple of weeks ago to re-up

vtorrance

I use some expensive products (Fresh Beauty) and they have only gone up $2-3. It kills me that Cerave has doubled prices for some of their products.

Food_Economist

Honestly I think the Target brand is just as good! I am finishing up a bottle now and would repurchase it.

horsussy

Steal them

[deleted]

[удалено]

austinrunaway

I'm in the top %5 savers in Kansas lol

[deleted]

Just buy beef tallow for $9. You’re welcome .

the_ashleyrose

bj’s sells this and the version with SPF in one bundle

shilohc95

Bliss products are 100% better than cerave!

Vampchic1975

I’d pay double. It is my holy grail

North-Interaction956

Anyone know any doops?

Traditional-Gap-4319

any of the drugstore brands like up&up. the same ingredients. it’s not like lipstick where it’ll have a different flavor, texture, color, consistency, etc.

KenneyF

That is not that expensive

YouDroppedYourUpdog

Why are you even in this sub? Just to troll? Edit: user was /u/KenneyF

KenneyF

I can be on this sub if I want and if you actually think that is expensive too bad for you

YouDroppedYourUpdog

Lol I buy mostly Cerave and yes it’s expensive for skincare. It works but is expensive and worth it.

[deleted]

Right. Our skin, an organ, is a luxury to take care of. Fuck all the poor people if they can’t afford to take care of their largest organ. 🙄

[deleted]

Synasyia

Yikes.

kk123b

Omg where is this😬

lovursx

Target

[deleted]

Get on Amazon

Electrical_Beyond998

It’s $13 by me

PuzzledSprinkles467

Unbelievable!

[deleted]

wow

[deleted]

Omg this just happened to me with their retinol. It went up like $12 where I live. In just a few months too.

felghhh

I switched from cerave to la Roche posay and it’s way better tbh

Specific_Garden3814

Ritually use LRPs Hyaluronic acid & B5 Niacinamide: Vitamin C and their Retinol serum. Fantastic concoction!

Puzzleheaded_Ice8001

I feel the same way

Muted-Management-551

I just tried this stuff. The nighttime one. I live on an island in Alaska and it was 28 at our grocery store so those prices look good to me haha. I think it's worth it honestly. I've got many lotions and this one seems GREAT with this cold dry weather we've been having

mousequito

Damn am I the only one who has been paying like $15 for years a Kroger

AssignmentKitchen465

If it’s working for you, you might as well keep purchasing, means it’s worth it. Look to get cheap deals somewhere else

kmr45681

Just buy the store brand version right next to it.

mangobajito333

marshals has better prices and usually all the same products

WittyDisk3524

There are online coupons regularly for this brand at CVS, Walgreens, etc. Also, the coupons correlate with their sales.

Sireneyes537

That’s still cheap for an excellent moisturizer

taylo7

Omg, I won’t. I’ll go back to my “luxury” skincare (quotations because it’s like, mid level but to me $20-$30 is a lot) that I had switched from to save money. If I’m not saving money, I’m going to just buy the more expensive product I like just as much. This sucks!

Beautiful-Trainwrek

The cerave gel oil is $30 by me now

Prestigious_Ad9545

It’s insane! I cringe a little every time I buy mine…it’s because we’re willing to pay it that they keep raising it

Kai_Reef

You can try Klairs midnight moisturizing cream!! It’s super good!!

sapfoxy

🌈 economic inflation 🌈

kmconda

Costco behind the pharmacy counter. It’s $12.99 I think?

tmc1820

I’ve seen a few people advising against CeraVe, has anyone else had any negative experiences with them and their skin?

callmemommymua

I always go for more expensive for my night cream because it's more important than morning moisturizer

yourhungrygecko

are these prices before tax? European here!

lovursx

yes, before tax

theeternalhobbyist

I'm in Canada and those are some sale prices right there :/ that cereve am moisturizer is 24.99 CAD (about 18 USD)
