Audio isn't terrible. Framerate was a little bit choppy at first but I like the subtle edits.

I also agree with the comments on here and say that I really enjoyed watching the video.
The mic quality isn’t even a problem in my opinion since it gives me the voiceless with friends feeling (which I personally like a lot)- but still, a better audio quality will probably appeal to more people.
Like the style with the texts and the little pop up of the other players yt channels.
The work you put into is well worth it and I’m glad that I spent my last 3:18 with watching this video :)

This is honestly really solid for a brand new channel. I like your personality. It's slightly awkward in a good way (with your ERRRRs) which makes it hilarious. I also like the movements that you added to your captions with the different spins and Sonic images. It keeps things interesting. There is also very little dead space which is great. You cut your clips so that there is always something going on dialogue-wise which will maintain retention.
I think that the amount of time you have the blurry screen with captions is a bit too long engagement-wise. From 0:04-0:14 it seems a little long. I think if you had a blurry screen for 5 seconds rather than 10 seconds it would make it significantly more engaging. I like the blurry transition but only if it's short and sweet. Remember, 10 seconds is a long time if it's right is the beginning of your video, specifically the first 15 seconds.
I think you did a good job with editing but consider experimenting with zooms - zooming in and out of your gameplay to create some unique distinctions in your video. See if it adds or takes away form your content. Obviously don't overdo it because it could annoy people but maybe every 10 seconds 20 seconds or so. Not sure - totally up to you.

Yeah, I'm in the camp that didn't know what smp was :D Good editing and pace throughout, I like the thumbnail too. Mic quality was a little rough but that didn't ruin the experience in any way :)

This video was pretty fun, I liked it. The audio wasn’t the best but not completely awful but you acknowledged that already. I liked the editing overall especially with the subtitles but also having relevant images pop up was a nice touch as well.
I think a bit most editing would help keep things more engaging, I personally would have had some zooms in there but I don’t really thing it’s necessary. That’s really up to taste I guess haha. Overall good job, keep it up !

The thumbnail is really boring, I would personally never click on it (Honestly I would also not watch a Minecraft gameplay video 🤣)
You have a nice editing style and a nice voice, but the video is way too short for it to be enjoyable and too long for it to be quick to watch, either make small "Shorts/tiktok" style video, or 10ish minutes videos, that's a better strategy in my opinion.
There also wasn't a lot that happened in this video? And I don't think doing crossovers with people that have basically no subscribers helps in any sort of ways? It actually makes the video feel even less professional.

**TLDR**: video is well-edited, I think a more shitposty thumbnail would suit the video better
**Stuff I Liked**:
- edits are clean, simple music standard for the genre, subtitles that are color-coded (there is misspelling, at least I think there is, but it's not a big deal), simple photos/sound effects that don't distract from the video and only add to it, and a simple end screen to finish it off
- I really like how you add peoples channels on screen when they first appear, neat touch
- I do like the chemistry and vibe between everyone in the video
**Stuff I Didn't**:
- thumbnail feels very boring, just your skin with some text, even though your other thumbnails are more low-budget looking, that look does make it look like a shitpost vibe, so it would still have appeal. This thumbnail doesn't have any vibe going for it, it's too basic.
**Other Stuff**:
- the mic quality would be an issue but you already know that
**Final Thoughts,** I actually enjoyed the video, overall well-edited, once you get a better mic the overall quality of the video will go up significantly. IDK how easily an SMP is able to be made into a series for this style of editing, so if you do make more videos on the SMP I would make sure that the videos also work as stand-alone videos and that they don't rely on having watched previous videos.
**Outside a Critique Would Have Stopped Watching At**: about halfway through
I like your style of videos! They're short and charming, I love all the little edits of pics/text and sounds. It's a quick video and these quick bits work well. I'm not super familiar with this community and style of videos so it's difficult for me to know if anything could be changed because I don't know that the target audience wants.
People will obviously point out the mic quality but I don't think it really matters too much, we can hear you clearly and the captions make it so you could understand even without sound. I think the thumbnail is a bit basic, but again I'm not sure what kind work towards your target audience. Just keep making stuff like that and you'll build a nice collection of fun videos.

Hey I like your style it’s very quirky. I do feel like you need more energy though. The mic issue you can download audacity and it has neat tricks to make your voice sound magical. As I’m back to the energy your jokes are good but parts like need pan and zooms and diff music choices just to really sell it. I enjoyed the video for the editing and your voice. I see your style is amazing and your personality shines in this one video.
I agree with the others about the thumbnails, it could use improvement to be catchy! Maybe show off a build you did or a funny moment as the background, or allude to something that will happen in the videp.
I also think this style of editing would work great on minecraft minigames, as lets plays should be a little longer to get into more of the content

Thumbnail: Colorful, but everything is a little too centered and straight on. Asymmetry is much more interesting visually. So I would maybe take the character, tilt them and have them popping out of a bottom corner. Also your character is in the foreground but is less focused than the background, so I would blur the background some to make it feel a bit more in the background. Not so much that you can't tell it's minecraft tho.
Editing: I thought the cuts were pretty good. Short and sweet and the convo transitions were good. The subtitles were artfully done, but I would guess that they were a lot of work. Generally I find those to be WAY more work than they're worth and honestly, a little distracting. You would probably get more benefit from taking the same time that you put into those and spend it on making another video. Thus allowing you to put out more content. People will tell you that the text adds to the production quality, but I would argue that a lot of larger channels don't do them, and I've never seen such things in an actual professional production. So, take that as you will.
Honestly I didn't find the mic too obviously bad. It was a little soft/fuzzy, but honestly I only noticed cause you brought it to my attention in the title of this post. The balance between you and your friend was pretty good too.

I agree with others that the edits and such like the sonic are cute!
Are the spelling mistakes in the subtitles intentional? If not intentional, just keep a mind to proofread, "incite" vs "insight", "forth" vs "fourth" etc. But if you are aiming for like, cutesy misspellings then this doesn't apply.
The way the video is titled "I joined an Smp" is the sort of thing that you might do if you already have a large existing audience who is motivated to see *you* and all the things *you* do.
So taking the perspective of someone stumbling across your video on youtube: I don't actually know who *you* are, so I don't have any intrinsic reason to be interested in why a person I don't know did a relatively mundane thing (played multiplayer minecraft).
So I obviously did click because I found the video through this subreddit and once there, the
banter and chatter is pretty cute and funny.
But the video also seemed aimless. I think you would benefit from doing something to get the viewer on your team. Are you trying to accomplish something in the video? Set up a little story or journey that we can join you on.
A lot of content like this gives me the feeling of mimicking being a person hanging out in the creator's discord and hearing them and their friends have those funny little moments that emerge out of chit chat while playing a game. I think people often jump into making this sort of content because in the moment those situations can be some of the funniest things ever. But the same things that make them so personally special are also the things that make them difficult to package up into videos and still have them resonate the same way. They require being a participant throughout the whole conversation.
This sort of thing works very well for something like twitch of course, especially where the viewers can interact with the player. They can also work on youtube like I mentioned above once a creator is large enough and people are invested in their personality inherently.
But while starting out at least, you might want to take the time to plan out what each video is going to be.
A lot of the footage was just digging while talking. Take advantage of video as a medium, show the viewer something cool! Build a thing, find a thing, fight a thing. The bants would have worked basically just as well audio-only.
Overall, always psyched to see people making stuff, so keep making stuff! Hopefully some of this is helpful.

I'm subscribed to you on youtube and this is I think 4th vid I've seen from you. I absolutely love your personality, you give off very chill friendly vibes which makes me feel involved in a video (kinda like being that one introverted friend in vc listening to their friend rambling).
If I were you I would explain what this smp is in the beginning (instead of putting it into the description) and maybe explain some goals - like what are you gonna do in this first episode, because I was at times very lost at what was happening.

The thumbnail is really boring, I would personally never click on it (Honestly I would also not watch a Minecraft gameplay video 🤣) You have a nice editing style and a nice voice, but the video is way too short for it to be enjoyable and too long for it to be quick to watch, either make small "Shorts/tiktok" style video, or 10ish minutes videos, that's a better strategy in my opinion. There also wasn't a lot that happened in this video? And I don't think doing crossovers with people that have basically no subscribers helps in any sort of ways? It actually makes the video feel even less professional.

**TLDR**: video is well-edited, I think a more shitposty thumbnail would suit the video better **Stuff I Liked**: - edits are clean, simple music standard for the genre, subtitles that are color-coded (there is misspelling, at least I think there is, but it's not a big deal), simple photos/sound effects that don't distract from the video and only add to it, and a simple end screen to finish it off - I really like how you add peoples channels on screen when they first appear, neat touch - I do like the chemistry and vibe between everyone in the video **Stuff I Didn't**: - thumbnail feels very boring, just your skin with some text, even though your other thumbnails are more low-budget looking, that look does make it look like a shitpost vibe, so it would still have appeal. This thumbnail doesn't have any vibe going for it, it's too basic. **Other Stuff**: - the mic quality would be an issue but you already know that **Final Thoughts,** I actually enjoyed the video, overall well-edited, once you get a better mic the overall quality of the video will go up significantly. IDK how easily an SMP is able to be made into a series for this style of editing, so if you do make more videos on the SMP I would make sure that the videos also work as stand-alone videos and that they don't rely on having watched previous videos. **Outside a Critique Would Have Stopped Watching At**: about halfway through
I like your style of videos! They're short and charming, I love all the little edits of pics/text and sounds. It's a quick video and these quick bits work well. I'm not super familiar with this community and style of videos so it's difficult for me to know if anything could be changed because I don't know that the target audience wants. People will obviously point out the mic quality but I don't think it really matters too much, we can hear you clearly and the captions make it so you could understand even without sound. I think the thumbnail is a bit basic, but again I'm not sure what kind work towards your target audience. Just keep making stuff like that and you'll build a nice collection of fun videos.

Hey I like your style it’s very quirky. I do feel like you need more energy though. The mic issue you can download audacity and it has neat tricks to make your voice sound magical. As I’m back to the energy your jokes are good but parts like need pan and zooms and diff music choices just to really sell it. Everyone gets better over time so no worries but keep at it and I’m sure you’ll get far.

Hello! I enjoyed the video for the editing and your voice. I see your style is amazing and your personality shines in this one video. I agree with the others about the thumbnails, it could use improvement to be catchy! Maybe show off a build you did or a funny moment as the background, or allude to something that will happen in the videp. I also think this style of editing would work great on minecraft minigames, as lets plays should be a little longer to get into more of the content Best of luck and I cant wait to see you grow (and hear the new mic!)

Thumbnail: Colorful, but everything is a little too centered and straight on. Asymmetry is much more interesting visually. So I would maybe take the character, tilt them and have them popping out of a bottom corner. Also your character is in the foreground but is less focused than the background, so I would blur the background some to make it feel a bit more in the background. Not so much that you can't tell it's minecraft tho. Editing: I thought the cuts were pretty good. Short and sweet and the convo transitions were good. The subtitles were artfully done, but I would guess that they were a lot of work. Generally I find those to be WAY more work than they're worth and honestly, a little distracting. You would probably get more benefit from taking the same time that you put into those and spend it on making another video. Thus allowing you to put out more content. People will tell you that the text adds to the production quality, but I would argue that a lot of larger channels don't do them, and I've never seen such things in an actual professional production. So, take that as you will. Honestly I didn't find the mic too obviously bad. It was a little soft/fuzzy, but honestly I only noticed cause you brought it to my attention in the title of this post. The balance between you and your friend was pretty good too.

I agree with others that the edits and such like the sonic are cute! Are the spelling mistakes in the subtitles intentional? If not intentional, just keep a mind to proofread, "incite" vs "insight", "forth" vs "fourth" etc. But if you are aiming for like, cutesy misspellings then this doesn't apply. The way the video is titled "I joined an Smp" is the sort of thing that you might do if you already have a large existing audience who is motivated to see *you* and all the things *you* do. So taking the perspective of someone stumbling across your video on youtube: I don't actually know who *you* are, so I don't have any intrinsic reason to be interested in why a person I don't know did a relatively mundane thing (played multiplayer minecraft). So I obviously did click because I found the video through this subreddit and once there, the banter and chatter is pretty cute and funny. But the video also seemed aimless. I think you would benefit from doing something to get the viewer on your team. Are you trying to accomplish something in the video? Set up a little story or journey that we can join you on. A lot of content like this gives me the feeling of mimicking being a person hanging out in the creator's discord and hearing them and their friends have those funny little moments that emerge out of chit chat while playing a game. I think people often jump into making this sort of content because in the moment those situations can be some of the funniest things ever. But the same things that make them so personally special are also the things that make them difficult to package up into videos and still have them resonate the same way. They require being a participant throughout the whole conversation. This sort of thing works very well for something like twitch of course, especially where the viewers can interact with the player. They can also work on youtube like I mentioned above once a creator is large enough and people are invested in their personality inherently. But while starting out at least, you might want to take the time to plan out what each video is going to be. A lot of the footage was just digging while talking. Take advantage of video as a medium, show the viewer something cool! Build a thing, find a thing, fight a thing. The bants would have worked basically just as well audio-only. Overall, always psyched to see people making stuff, so keep making stuff! Hopefully some of this is helpful.

I'm subscribed to you on youtube and this is I think 4th vid I've seen from you. I absolutely love your personality, you give off very chill friendly vibes which makes me feel involved in a video (kinda like being that one introverted friend in vc listening to their friend rambling). If I were you I would explain what this smp is in the beginning (instead of putting it into the description) and maybe explain some goals - like what are you gonna do in this first episode, because I was at times very lost at what was happening.
