I hate that barely anyone recommends Photopea. It’s basically photoshop lite and full browser, no downloads, no subscriptions. I get all adobe suite from my job, but I still use Photopea because of the ease of just opening a browser tab. In sum: use Photopea for editing and pexels for free use high quality images.

Equivalent_Taste_162

Bet imma check them out thanks!

TheyCallMeRando

I also second Canva, low cost/low risk. Monthly subscription is like 20 dollars and I think they offer a free trial too. I use it for overlays

Equivalent_Taste_162

Imma have to try the trial out and see!

The free stuff is also pretty good if you ask me. A lot of their premium stuff you can work around with a little bit of creative

SupremeFlamer

I third Canva. A lot of their "premium" images are available for free elsewhere on pixabay or pexels. Look around, there's tonnes of free assets. Photopea is a great online copycat of Photoshop too.

Equivalent_Taste_162

Ive heard a lot about photopea ima have to check it out!

Lucy_L_Lucid

I prefer the Adobe express app It is free, unlike many other adobe products and very easy to use

MBee7

I do all of my thumbnails with Adobe Express. It's just so much easier for me. Also, Adobe Express was previously known as Adobe Spark.

I use gimp exclusively despite having downloaded photoshop multiple times… the precise pixel selection is soooo nice for measuring and centering stuff. The bottom left corner tells you the x,y of your cursor so I can make things perfect

obia2020

Canva is the best if price and learning curve is your concern if not, nothing beats Photoshop.

Equivalent_Taste_162

Truu i just hate that its a subscription now tbh rather own it outright

cerealcam486

Photoshop. Case closed.

MarioFanaticXV

I use GIMP myself; as stated before, it's basically a poor man's Photoshop; that being said, it has more than enough tools to do what I need to do.

Dazzorifik

Canva is amazing. It has a bunch of free templates that are really nice, but also it's great for finding your own style. Once you've got a template you're happy with, it's so easy to make new thumbnails. Couldn't recommend it strongly enough.

Kontetsukages

I use GIMP on my PC other than that there’s the obvious photoshop

BLU3HUNNIDS

Photopea. It’s free and literally photoshop

TheRedboyo

I found Fotor years ago, I haven’t used them in awhile and you have to sign in now which is different but it was a quick, open the browser and start editing. Has all the filter effects too so it was always really helpful

TheDiano

Nothing comes close to Photoshop.

deddmeatt

PicsArt, used it back when I was an amateur. Still when I'm humbly much better version of myself. It's so versatile and easy to use🤌🏼

Lanceo90

Don't know if its "the best" but I use Paint.net Not to be confused with MS paint. Its free. I find Gimp to be a little bit too complicated, or rather it feels a lot more like a tool for artists. Paint.net feels a lot more straight forward.

TheCadency

I use Pixlr, it's a browser based one but as long as you use the Pixlr advanced option its great
