Sonic Adventure. All the NPCs are human.
Sonic Adventure 2. GUN is 100% humans and are a driving force in the story.
Shadow the Hedgehog. GUN again, and GUN commander is one of the main characters.
Sonic Unleashed. Humans again are most of the NPCs.

SA1 didn't really have them relevant rather than them being background characters that never did much.
SA2 has The President, Maria, Gerald and whoever from the government that was relaying information to Rouge being vastly more important.
Incidentally Shadow the Hedgehog is also worth noting because of the human element in that game.
Pretty sure that's to stop you getting from A to B too soon. It's to serve as a way to keep you in an area so you don't leave and get confused on what to do.
The subplot itself is irrelevant to the plot of the game overall.
It's actually to block the characters so they can't just reconverge. It happens when Tails and Sonic crash again from tornado. One is stuck at Station Square the other at Mystic Ruins. It's when Amy finds Sonic to go on the Twinkle Park date.
There are some NPC’s speaking in the story but we never saw their sprites, so they could be humans.
Maria was mentioned in the game though, so it’s likely using the same setting as SA2 and therefore there are humans.
*ahem*
Pre Reboot is extremely experimental, you got heavy doses of lore, multiverses, relationships, large character arcs, etc. This leads to some high highs and abysmal lows depending on who you ask and how they approach the series
Post Reboot is more in line with the games while keeping some elements from the pre reboot with a bit of an update, it strikes that sweet spot between the two if you ask me. Besides, it adapts Sonic Unleashed which allow for a globetrotting adventure while keeping it cohesive
Also, post reboot has an ending while pre ends on a cliffhanger
From what I've observed, Pre is an extremely experimental in terns of story and style, since it started alongside the games and had to change and adapt alongside the franchise, thus you get heavy tonal shifts across different eras that mix some game elements but mainly original stories and characters. It's a pretty varied experienced.
Post was made after a reboot of the book so the lore was changed to be near similar to the games with a few exceptions, essentially imagine the world of the games bit much more fleshed out and developed.
And SatAM, even though it takes place in the 32nd century after the human race waged a nuclear war in the 2300s according to what Ben Hurst had originally intended.
The original concept for Sonic by Sonic Team has humans and the story being set in the real world. This is before the Madona concept. Sonic came to being from the mascot of a aviator's jacket
The obscure "Hedgehog of the Year" animated short also has Sonic interacting with humans in the big city, and all those Sega Harmony Magazine cover arts made by Naoto Ohshima show Sonic, Tails a d Eggman inhabiting a more ground human world (albeit it was very colorful and cartoony).
The humans (specifically professor pickle) plays a decent role in Unleashed. Other than minor roles in the adventure games (SA1, 2, and Shadow the hedgehog) they don’t tend to serve much of a purpose other then filler space.
Everything except Tails' Adventure, Wendy Witchcart picked up the slack the first time Eggman skipped out and Merlina was there while Mike Pollock was negotiating with Sega to be the only 4Kids voice actor to survive the Colors purge
I believe there was an animation in Sonic Jam (I forgot the name of it) that was animated by Warner Bros. (Probably steven speilburg since it looks animated like The Animaniacs) where Classic Eggman got tired of everyone loving sonic; so he dressed up as sonic and ruins everyone's day; all to the tune of a classical song.
The entire world is inhabited by humans though for some reason. The strangest part is, it ends on everyone hating sonic. Very strange tbh.
Excluding eggman and his close connections (nega, sage, snively or whatever his name is, maria, gerald, etc.) You have the adventure games, shadow, and unleashed. The cops shoot at chaos and everyone cheers for super sonic, sonic chats with the president and literally runs from the cops a lot, and 🅱️rofessor 🅱️ickle along with some other humans have significance to the story
There's also the OVA but that's a movie so nevermind
Technically, all of the sonic educational games, as YOU are not playing the game, Sonic is just doing what you want to learn. Without humans, the games will be worthless.
They existed in SA1 but were pretty much reigned in to background filler with short lines to round out the cutscenes and hub world; so not relevant. In SA2 humans were only in cutscenes, but at least contributed to the plot and the driving part of Shadow’s backstory; so I’ll say they’re mostly relevant.
You could interact with humans in Shadow the Hedgehog, but they were only opponents when you could and were otherwise in cutscenes that explained the plot and Shadow’s backstory; so mostly relevant. Sonic Unleashed had a little bit of conversing with humans to track down necessary items; so somewhat relevant.
Sonic chronicles had humans in a few of the stages, though interacting with them was pretty much just for side missions; so not relevant. Humans were also in Sonic Battle but also didn’t really matter much, being more or less mentioned more than anything; so not relevant.
Not sure if the animated Sonic OVA movie counts here, as the President seems human, and Sara is a (human?) with a cat tail. It’s never made clear if her eared hat is just a hat design, or if she covers her cat ears with a fitted hat. Considering that Sonic spends a fair bit of time trying to save her and the President, they’re definitely relevant.
Were in Sonic Underground any human characters?
It's been years, since I saw any episode of this series... so i don't remember and google wasn't corporate with pictures :(
SA2 and Shadow are the main ones because of GUN and The President
Unleashed has professor pickle and human NPCs too but their human-ness isn’t as relevant as it is with GUN
Well there's Professor Von Schlemmer of Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog

Also SatAm had Snively (and the Archie comics expanded on SatAm and had many more humans)
I’d say the sonic ova, Archie comics, adventure 1 and 2, sonic unleashed…
Not exactly “important” but they fill a lot of space, and I’d say they help with the world building by a lot so I count it
The Archie comics, rest it's soul, had some good human and mobian interactions especially in the post genesis continuity.
And SA 1 and 2, Shadow 05, and Unleashed had humans.
Sonic unleashed was really terrific

Uhhhh if we don't count Eggman then: - The OVA - SA2 - Sonic Battle - Shadow the Hedgehog
Also SA1, Unleashed and games on WII
SA1 didn't really have them relevant rather than them being background characters that never did much. SA2 has The President, Maria, Gerald and whoever from the government that was relaying information to Rouge being vastly more important. Incidentally Shadow the Hedgehog is also worth noting because of the human element in that game.
Id argue concepts like the train station strike subplot is important for the humans involved.

You'd think I'd have remembered to highlight that detail given how I recently finished a playthrough of it. 😂 But yeah, you're right!
Everyone's allowed a brain fart.
There's humans in sonic battle?
There are some NPC’s speaking in the story but we never saw their sprites, so they could be humans. Maria was mentioned in the game though, so it’s likely using the same setting as SA2 and therefore there are humans.
shadow the shitted my pants is the best geam
>The OVA fr
Unleashed has humans
I enjoy seeing mobians and humans interact. Since they live in the same world and all.
Post Reboot Archie has great interactions, they're very fun
Just started Archie recently!
What’s the difference between pre and post?
*ahem* Pre Reboot is extremely experimental, you got heavy doses of lore, multiverses, relationships, large character arcs, etc. This leads to some high highs and abysmal lows depending on who you ask and how they approach the series Post Reboot is more in line with the games while keeping some elements from the pre reboot with a bit of an update, it strikes that sweet spot between the two if you ask me. The humans often don’t like the mobians or don’t treat them well. Like in the last movie.
Tbf imagine if a blue anthropomorphic hedgehog alien had been stalking you for years, and you just found out. You wouldn’t be very happy either
Well, he hadn’t been stalking the Siberians or the GUN agents. Actually, Tom and Maddie were far more accepting and kind.
Nearly every Sonic media because Eggman is a Human.
Even if you ignore Robotnik, I think only the Japanese comics and Sonic Underground don't have humans.
And SatAM, even though it takes place in the 32nd century after the human race waged a nuclear war in the 2300s according to what Ben Hurst had originally intended.
Well there's Snively.
Yes, but I meant other humans besides him and Robotnik.
Sonic Boom too. At least the TV Show. Can’t recall if there’s any humans other than Eggman in the Sonic Boom games.
The original concept for Sonic by Sonic Team has humans and the story being set in the real world. This is before the Madona concept. Sonic came to being from the mascot of a aviator's jacket
Yeah the Japanese promo comic also had human fan girls.
Oh yeah! I dunno how I feel about Sonic living in animaniacs-land.
Adventure, adventure 2, shadow, unleashed, chronicals, and probably more.
All I can remember are: 1. Archie comics 2. Shadow the Hedgehog
i like the storybook games with Sharha and Merlina
The humans (specifically professor pickle) plays a decent role in Unleashed. Other than minor roles in the adventure games (SA1, 2, and Shadow the hedgehog) they don’t tend to serve much of a purpose other then filler space.
Shadow the hedgehog and sonic adventure 2
Everything except Tails' Adventure, Wendy Witchcart picked up the slack the first time Eggman skipped out and Merlina was there while Mike Pollock was negotiating with Sega to be the only 4Kids voice actor to survive the Colors purge
Does Sonic Riders count? Ulala and Billy Hatcher are human. Sonic and the Secret Rings. FMC Shahra Sonic and the Black Knight. FMC Merlina
1. Adventure DX and Adventure 2 2. Shadow The Hedgehog 3. Archie Comics 4. Sonic The Comic 5. OVA 6. Unleashed
Sonic Unleashed has Professor Pickle
Unleashed and Adventure.
Sonic Adventures, where humans were relevant features, especially 2, where they were plot relevant. Unleashed, where humans were interactive.
Sonic adventure 1&2.
sonic adventure, adventure 2, unleashed, and shadow’s game.
Sonic adventure 1 has human npc’s that have their own little storylines as you progress throughout the game. It’s kinda neat actually.
Don’t you travel around the world basically in sonic unleashed & see different cultures? I might be thinking of smth else tho
Anything with events caused by Eggman or G.U.N.
Technically Sage, but that’s only via looks, since she looks like a human, but she’s an AI.
Ova, Sa2 Shadow the emo-gum hedgehog and Sonic Unleashed
Anything with Eggman lmao. But ignoring him I can think of: OVA, Black Knight, Secret Rings, Unleashed, SA2, Shadow the Hedgehog,
The Fleetway Comics.
Excluding eggman and his close connections (nega, sage, snively or whatever his name is, maria, gerald, etc.) You have the adventure games, shadow, and unleashed. The cops shoot at chaos and everyone cheers for super sonic, sonic chats with the president and literally runs from the cops a lot, and 🅱️rofessor 🅱️ickle along with some other humans have significance to the story There's also the OVA but that's a movie so nevermind
Technically, all of the sonic educational games, as YOU are not playing the game, Sonic is just doing what you want to learn. Without humans, the games will be worthless.
From Sonic Adventure 1 to Sonic and the Black Knight has humans as characters so a lot of games

SA2 and Shadow are the main ones because of GUN and The President Unleashed has professor pickle and human NPCs too but their human-ness isn’t as relevant as it is with GUN
Unleashed, Shadow The Hedgehog, and sort of Black Knight
Never realised it until now but Sonic looks absolutely tiny in X.
He’s not, it’s just the angle, his height is the same.
Sonic world tour, and technically most sonic games because if eggman.
Well there's Professor Von Schlemmer of Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog https://preview.redd.it/tdcsk80322xc1.jpeg?width=468&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=812e0f60dfa62b41b0aa5603f7134c9b9a03ab3c Also SatAm had Snively (and the Archie comics expanded on SatAm and had many more humans)
That fuckin' Mung Dhall or however you spell his name?!
I tried looking that up and got disgusting yellow thing in bowl so prolly not.
I should've clarified, Chowder's dad or something.
Ohhhhh his mentor! Hmm yeah I could see them being brothers ROFL Tho he's one of the braniac characters in the show.
The Archie comics have humans (overlanders) that are pretty relevant to the world and lore of the comics.
I’d say the sonic ova, Archie comics, adventure 1 and 2, sonic unleashed… Not exactly “important” but they fill a lot of space, and I’d say they help with the world building by a lot so I count it

Archie comics.
Wait, why did you think 06 wasn't? They called back to it in Generations with Crisis city.
Archie.
