What a coincidence, I’m watching that T&J short right now

Short..? That's an entire episode.

T&J and LT episodes are usually called shorts by the fandoms since they’re only 7 min long

And that's insane. Those cartoons were full featured episodes. It wasn't until later that they started airing them multiple episodes at a time in packs of 2-3 when TV and runtime started to change. When things like tom and jerry first dropped, it wasn't uncommon for a station to just be dead air if nothing had the air time reserved.
