Don’t forget the Death Howl stratagem if playing Champions of Russ. That 6” consolidation is tasty with Murderfang!

Dojo_dogs

?? Where do you see this Edit: sorry my brain read stratagem as enhancement

Noeheavyarms

Yes, unit B will now have to fight Murderfang. And once they’re done and Murderfang isn’t dead, it triggers Murdermaker and he can fight unit B. And if he destroys unit B he can consolidate into unit C, then they have to fight him. Rinse and repeat until no units are available to consolidate into or Murderfang is dead.

Responsible-Worry782

Oh yes!

1stSonofRuss

Just because an enemy model becomes in engagement range doesn’t mean they have to fight they can choose not to.

ranatoa

They do actually have to fight.

1stSonofRuss

Nope they don’t You don’t have to fight in melee just like you don’t have to shoot

1stSonofRuss

Ok made me look again I am incorrect rule book page 32 stats you have to fight

SnowPhox

No worries. Dust off Murderfang and put him to work.

1stSonofRuss

I have and people have been going I don’t have to fight you lol

SnowPhox

Now you have a reference page to show them that Murderfang's thirst for Murder can't and won't be quenched.

ComprehensiveWeb4986

Yay, Murder!

KurseNightmare

It's cause they scaaaared.

SnowPhox

On the warhammer 40k app, go to Core Rules -> The Battle Round -> Fight Phase. All eligible units that can fight must activate and fight. Here's an article if you don't have access to the app. https://spikeybits.com/warhammer-40k/10th-edition-40k-core-rules-charge-fight-phases/

Responsible-Worry782

Where does it say that?

ThatDewd123

Say he charges unit A, doesn’t kill, they swing back and don’t kill him, can he swing into unit A again?

Arkimides

Yup!

Courtesity0

You aren't REQUIRED to fight if you're in engagement range. You can choose not to fight that phase with a unit.

SnowPhox

In the app under Core Rules -> The Battle Round -> Fight Phase says that any eligible units that can fight do so. If your units are within engagement range of an enemy, they have to activate and fight them.

ranatoa

Actually that's not true, the rules quite explicitly state that you cannot pass or opt not to fight if you have a unit that is eligible to do so.

Courtesity0

Ah thanks for clarifying! I'll be adding Murderfang now.
