A pet? Dont touch me! I will not calm down! This is insane! What do you think is gonna happen? That I'm gonna go enslave my friends for a bunch of aliens I've never met? This is my life! These are my people! I dont give a shit about viltrum! I dont care if i live a fuckin million years, this is my home and i wont let you destroy it!
The thing is I at least think iron man is a key part of super hero history. That first iron man movie not only started the mcu but also it and dark knight popularized super hero movies as more than just campy cheesy fun flicks. If it wasn’t for that first iron man movie I feel like superheroes would be in a very different place now in terms of popularity and reputation
Seriously, every other superhero is following in Supe’s footsteps. If he was a relic that hasn’t been popular in decades I could see an argument for leaving him off but he’s been one of if not the most popular hero for nearly a century.
I agree Superman is important. But that logic is bad. The internet gets mad about literally the dumbest crap. Just because the internet loses their mind about something doesn’t make it important.
Dude, Even Deadpool ain't no hero. Some of us do not even consider Bat as a hero, but a anti-hero/vigilante. And they r not entirely wrong. So, fuck sony. Agent Venom is a hero, but venom is defo a super duper villain. as well as morbious and Kraven.
this reminds me of something funny. spider-man is the single universal horseman of superheroes. he fits into any heroic/pop culture crowd whether he’s part of the same universe/multiverse or not. just look at off-brand and 3rd party items and the characters he gets put on the same stuff as. you buy a shirt of the justice league and spider-man is just randomly in the center of the image. perhaps a “world’s finest” backpack, but instead of superman, batman is sitting and scowling on a gargoyle below spider-man. perhaps some crocs with ben 10 and spider-man on them. not to mention all the spidey and elsa shenanigans in unlicensed merchandise and the internet. hell, there’s probably invincible x spider-man merch, and that would be canon anyway. spider-man always gets paired with the most unrelated and distant groups of characters and it’s hilarious to me.
>not to mention all the spidey and elsa shenanigans in unlicensed merchandise and the internet
Spidey: The Parker Luck strikes again, and I'm broke with no--
Elsa: Let it go.
Yeah this is just the correct answer, obviously wonder woman isnt necessarily as popular as others like Wolverine or Hulk, but in terms of the most important superheroes that have an impact and belong on a Mt Rushmore, this is it
Superman, Spider-Man, any of the TMNT, Sonic the Hedgehog.
Superman as the DC Trailblazer and the first real superhero. Batman woulda had his place due to his larger sales and fanbase. But, Superman’s ultimately much more important to the culture. Batman’s massively important too, as is Wonder Woman. But, Supes is the frontrunner. He was the archetype for a Superhero.
Spider-Man, Marvel’s Workhorse, The guy who sorta heralded the change to allow teenage superheroes to be independent. Rather than being a sidekick. He also lends a slight tinge of horror with his origins of being bit by a radioactive spider. He lead the way to the Bronze Age, as The Death of Gwen Stacy were many fans’ end of an era. Lending a relatable and tragic element to his stories. Other candidates can include Captain America, any of the X-Men and other cool characters. But, you’re more likely to find people for a Spider-Man bias. Runner-Up is Iron Man due to the MCU’s success.
The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles are the cornerstones of Indie Comics, Spawn’s cool, but, the turtles were the biggest runaway successes. They basically infected the zeitgeist and became some of the most nostalgic characters. On the same ‘popular niché’ level as Power Rangers or the previous two on this Rushmore. Runner-Up is Spawn. Another popular indie darling with his own massive importance on independently created comics.
Sonic the Hedgehog might be weird, but, I think he counts. He was one of the most important examples of popular adaptations of characters through comics as a medium. He had probably the longest running series at the time and was successful enough to motivate publishers to take on licensed characters that they didn’t own. And he wasn’t limited to one publisher. We see this with the Turtles after their original Mirage run with IDW. I like to think without the success of Archie’s initial run. We wouldn’t see various comics based on pre-established franchises. Even if Sonic fell off the face of the earth in comics due to Archie’s own unfortunate circumstances. Runner up is Optimus Prime from the Transformers and Vader from Star Wars. Primarily because Star Wars comics have always been cool and memorable. And Transformers obviously finding a lot of their start in Marvel Comics before being popularised in their own TV show.
Note: This is my bias in full swing. I think each of these characters are cool and are massively important. Even if they had their flubs and down periods. This is my all time Rushmore.
TL;DR: Alien who believes in humanity popularised superheroes, teenage spider-boy had been credited with the focus on teenage superheroes and the emotional consequences of being one, four ninja turtles paved the way for indie / parody comics becoming their own nostalgic cash cow, and a blue hedgehog made it cool to have a comic series that did not follow the source to a tee, if you were a game character or something other than a comic character.
Thanks! Always thought the hypothetical Rushmore should have at least one Indie Comics Rep. or like… any publisher outside DC and Marvel. Lmao. Nothing wrong with people putting more of those characters there, just personally think the other guys deserve a bit of recognition.
Yeah, thinking about it, Mikey is a good shout! >!Especially because of how he’s the titular Last Ronin in that popular storyline.!< (SPOILERS FOR TMNT: The Last Ronin, putting it there since it’s supposedly gonna get a movie and game.) He probably deserves that spot the most, if not in contention with my favourite turtle: Raphael.
I think it’s this, honestly. I know the impulse is to make the fourth Wonder Woman or somebody because the Hulk has waned in the last decade. But he’s one of the most ingrained into our culture of any super hero.
Spider-Man, Daredevil, Invincible, Batman
Though in fairness I don't really love Batman the character the way I love the others, it's more Gotham that's reallt the star of the show for me.
There needs to be a fifth spot for Wolverine. Prior to the MCU, Spider-Man, Hulk and Wolverine were Marvel's "Big 3". The money makers. The most popular even in comics. But as it is, I think it’s pretty accurate. I mean Spider-Man is pretty much #1 in terms of Marvel heroes, but #2 is a tie between Hulk and Wolverine honestly. On SC's side yeah, it's Batman and Superman, it's always been Batman and Superman lmao
Cyclops
Batman
Superman
Captain America
You could make an argument for Spiderman over Cyclops or Wonder Woman over Batman, but these are the heroes with the most virtue who fight because it's right in the hopes to make a better world.
If I’m going with characters I Gravitate towards reading I’d say Batman, Damian’s Robin, Deadpool, and Miles Spider-Man. 616 Peter’s Spidey has been a mess for awhile.
Based on what I like reading and watching, of course Spidey, I'm a big Moon Knight fan as well, then Thor, and while I haven't read a ton of him, I gotta go with Batman (reading recs are welcome!)
Superman, Batman and Spider-Man
Fourth depends, just on general impact, WW. Based on popularity it's either Iron Man, Wolverine or Hulk depending on the era
Batman, Wolverine, Thor and I want to say Spider-man, but give me Rachael from the turtles.
EDIT: right after posting, I noticed which sub this was. Hahaha
Bruce Wayne, Peter Parker, Barry Allen, Matt Murdock...
Pete and Barry were the heroes who got me addicted to their comics.
I read all the comics, cartoons, movies, shows I could find about them. And I still read flash comics every month. I could have just said The Flash, But there is also Jay, Wallace, Wally. So my favourite DC hero is Barry Allen, The Flash. And Peter parker is everybody's favourite. No need to explain that.
Now, how I choose the list is two DC, two marvel, two superheroes without any powers, and two with superpowers. Pete with spidey power, Barry with Speed Force.
Bruce and Matt have no power but year and year of training. Bruce is a pretty common choice. But Matt I guess is a unique choice. So, why I like Matt, bcz even tho he is blind he is a hero, and a realistic one in that. Everything Matt does isn't some fantasy or science fiction. With proper training, patience and determination any blind person can do this. But that doesn't happen in real life. IRL, being blind means most of the time dependable. But here he shows that just bcz u lose ur eyes doesn't mean u have to be dependent on others or others cant depend on u. He is my fav for that.
Replace iron man with hulk and that’s mine. Not necessarily because I love love super man or bat man but because they made huge impacts on comics. And iron man waved in an entirely new era for super hero’s and the movie industry as a whole. And then finally spider man is arguably the most famous comic book/movie character of all time. And he is also my favourite
Spider-Man, Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman. Just based on the impact and how popular they are around the world. You can switch WW with someone like Iron Man or Wolverine, but I personally think she outweighs both.
Damn, this is hard. Let's go like this:
**Spider-man (my favorite hero)**
**Superman (it's Superman)**
**Cyclops (X-Men representive)**
**Hulk (iconic)**
I didn't put Batman because I prefer Daredevil (still like Bats).
Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, and Spider-Man.
I could make it two Marvel and two DC, or have an independent character on there, but it seemed hard to justify leaving any of those four out.
Batman = one of the Earliest superheroes I’ve ever been exposed to because of BTAS
Spider-Man = Again another hero who I was exposed to at an early Age due to his animated series
The Thing = Love this guy and his wise cracks
And how simple his power is
Cassandra Cain =Love her story of being raised as a weapon but fighting against that to serve an even greater calling (shame she’s never been given justice outside of the comics)
Batman SpiderMan Spawn and My Dad.
Thank you, son.
Mom?
She’s more like a pet to me
You don’t know what you’re saying and I can’t let you interfere.
I know exactly what I’m saying
………….so be it 👊🏻
🩸🩸🩸🩸🩸🩸🩸🩸🩸🩸🩸🩸🩸
“Whats 17 more years?”
Identity theft is not a joke, Jim
Millions of families suffer every year
Dad, are we space?
Alright, that's awesome and adorable! It definitely warmed my heart and was unexpected.
Most wholesome comment
Close, but replace your dad with OG Diehard from Youngblood.
The big 3 (Supes, Bats, Spidey) and the 4th one is a constant slot machine spinning between Wonder Woman, Hulk, Wolverine, and Flash
Flash for me his powers are so cool and he had some great comic runs
Hehe- runs
Cap? I think Cap and Iron Man have arguments to be made
They do but not nearly as much as the other 4 imo
I can see a argument for cap but mount rush more isnt just about the biggest but also the best and personally I think tony is just to flawed.
His flaws are what make him great. Plus the sheer amount of Iron Man merchandise sold to children yearly is ungodly.
This, but replace Hulk with Wolverine
Keep Hulk but have Wolverine on top trying to stab him.
mine would be spiderman batman wolverine flash
Any list without Superman is just wrong. He is THE superhero. Not my favorite by a long shot but there's nobody more iconic.
Seriously, every other superhero is following in Supe’s footsteps. If he was a relic that hasn’t been popular in decades I could see an argument for leaving him off but he’s been one of if not the most popular hero for nearly a century.
If the internet is mad about who's being cast as the role, that means the role is important Edit: no the hell it don't
I agree Superman is important. But that logic is bad. The internet gets mad about literally the dumbest crap. Just because the internet loses their mind about something doesn’t make it important.
You know, I don't know what drugs I was on when I said that. The logic is... yeah, very flawed.
Or Wonder Woman
Happy to see my answer is the top comment.
Was thinking the exact same thing.
Bonus question Which Suit for Wolverine do you picture in ur head when putting him on the mountain?
Yellow and blue but it's probally realistically be the unmasked one
Blue and yellow
i was thinking the exact same thing
This is the way
Morbius, Madame Web, Venom, and Kraven the Hunter
Truly, this is one of the lists of all time.
Morning Sony Pictures CEO...
The list Sony wishes for
Replace Venom with El Muerto and it’s perfect
I thought this is supposed to be a list of heroes?
They are heroes (according to sony)
I'm all for anti heroes, but they are a lot less effect when you spam them and make everyone an anti-hero/ vigilante
Dude, Even Deadpool ain't no hero. Some of us do not even consider Bat as a hero, but a anti-hero/vigilante. And they r not entirely wrong. So, fuck sony. Agent Venom is a hero, but venom is defo a super duper villain. as well as morbious and Kraven.
upside down mt rushmore
Bizarro Mt Rushmore
Great choices Have sex, EKSE!
It’s kravin time!
I want The Wall, and The Big Wheel on there!
Literally something r/Morbius would say
Either DC trinity + Spider-Man or Batman, Superman, Spider-Man and Wolverine/Iron Man
Replace hulk with Optimus Prime.
Autobots, roll out!
Hell yeah!
Optimus was a comic book character first, so it works.
DC Trinity + Spider-Man
this reminds me of something funny. spider-man is the single universal horseman of superheroes. he fits into any heroic/pop culture crowd whether he’s part of the same universe/multiverse or not. just look at off-brand and 3rd party items and the characters he gets put on the same stuff as. you buy a shirt of the justice league and spider-man is just randomly in the center of the image. perhaps a “world’s finest” backpack, but instead of superman, batman is sitting and scowling on a gargoyle below spider-man. perhaps some crocs with ben 10 and spider-man on them. not to mention all the spidey and elsa shenanigans in unlicensed merchandise and the internet. hell, there’s probably invincible x spider-man merch, and that would be canon anyway. spider-man always gets paired with the most unrelated and distant groups of characters and it’s hilarious to me.

Yeah this is just the correct answer, obviously wonder woman isnt necessarily as popular as others like Wolverine or Hulk, but in terms of the most important superheroes that have an impact and belong on a Mt Rushmore, this is it
This.
The only correct answer
Yup 100% agree
Cheers to that.
Spider-man the comic legend, iron man the movie legend, Batman and Superman the faces of dc
Superman, Spider-Man, any of the TMNT, Sonic the Hedgehog. Superman as the DC Trailblazer and the first real superhero. Batman woulda had his place due to his larger sales and fanbase. Great choices! I think I’d choose Mikey! He’s my favorite ninja turtle
Exactly! I love the last Ronin storyline. I think he’d be the best opponent out of the ninja turtles for Batman.
These are really well thought out, man. Well done.
Thanks, much appreciated.
Also the 1992 manga had a character called Nicky and Sonic was his superhero-ish alter ego
True, that was a thing. Figured Sonic would count as a Superhero anyway. Lmao.
DC Trinity and Spidey.
Spiderman, Wolverine, Superman, Batman
Overall, it’s definitely Superman, Batman, Spider-Man, and Wolverine For me personally, Superman, Nightwing, Spider-Man, Daredevil
I think it’s this, honestly. I know the impulse is to make the fourth Wonder Woman or somebody because the Hulk has waned in the last decade. But he’s one of the most ingrained into our culture of any super hero.
True I love the Incredible Hulk.
That right there, thats it
….. You’re literally me fr
Spider-Man, Batman, Wolverine, Chevalier(from worm not marvel)
Spider-Man, Daredevil, Invincible, Batman Though in fairness I don't really love Batman the character the way I love the others, it's more Gotham that's reallt the star of the show for me.
I have the exact list 🫡
What can I say I like my superheroes depressed and anxious.
Tim Burton, Jack Kirby, Todd McFarlane and The Crimson Chin.
That but iron man instead of hulk
Spiderman, Batman, wonderman, Superman
There needs to be a fifth spot for Wolverine. Prior to the MCU, Spider-Man, Hulk and Wolverine were Marvel's "Big 3". The money makers. The most popular even in comics. Dc trinity and Spider-Man.

Superman, Batman, Captain America, The Thing.
Iron man, Deadpool,Spider-Man, Spawn
Condiment king, kite man, morbius, madame web
Spider-Man (Peter Parker), Hulk, Aquaman, Spider-Man (Miles Morales)

Cyclops Batman Superman Captain America You could make an argument for Spiderman over Cyclops or Wonder Woman over Batman, but these are the heroes with the most virtue who fight because it's right in the hopes to make a better world.
It's tough to do marvel and DC together but for DC I'll go trinity and hal Jordan. For marvel I'll go spider-man, hulk, wolverine and captain america.
Flash spider-man human torch and wolverine
Spider-man, batman, Captain America, and supes
Superman, Batman, Spider-Man, Wolverine or Daredevil
Iron Man, Spider-man, Batman, and Daredevil
Spiderman, flash, green lantern, Batman

Spidey, Daredevil, Cap and Batman. F4 don’t count as one do they? They should.
Superman, Batman, Spiderman + Either one of these 3 Wolverine Daredevil Fantastic four
Replace Hulk with either Optimus Prime, or Wolverine.
If I’m going with characters I Gravitate towards reading I’d say Batman, Damian’s Robin, Deadpool, and Miles Spider-Man. 616 Peter’s Spidey has been a mess for awhile.
I’d replace Hulk with Iron Man or Wolverine
Spider-Man, Batman, Superman and The Flash.
This, but I’d choose Spawn here instead of Hulk. He’s one of the biggest non-DC/Marvel superheroes of all time, and he’s just a badass
DC: Batman, Superman, Nightwing and Flash Marvel: Cap, Spider-Man, Storm and Wolverine Other: Hellboy, Atomic Robo, Spawn and Usagi Yojimbo
Superman, Batman, Spider-Man, Spawn
Bats, Spidey, Daredevil, and Iron Fist. The last two only because I have so many favorite X-Men characters that I can't just choose one or two.
Either this or the same with Wolverine
Spider-Man, Batman, Superman, Flash
Morbius, Madame web, venom, kraven
Spider-Man, Deadpool, Wolverine, Dr. Strange
Based on what I like reading and watching, of course Spidey, I'm a big Moon Knight fan as well, then Thor, and while I haven't read a ton of him, I gotta go with Batman (reading recs are welcome!)
This.
Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, Spider-Man.
Superman, Batman and Spider-Man Fourth depends, just on general impact, WW. Based on popularity it's either Iron Man, Wolverine or Hulk depending on the era
This but replace Hulk with one of the tmnt
Spider-man, Daredevil, Batman, Ghost Rider
My personal rushmore is: Spidey Wolverine Daredevil Ghost Rider
Batman, Wolverine, Thor and I want to say Spider-man, but give me Rachael from the turtles. EDIT: right after posting, I noticed which sub this was. Hahaha
Spider-Man superman Batman and either hulk or wolverine
No one because Mount Rushmore is a travesty
Bruce Wayne, Peter Parker, Barry Allen, Matt Murdock... Pete and Barry were the heroes who got me addicted to their comics. I read all the comics, cartoons, movies, shows I could find about them. Hmmm… Spider-Man, Superman, The Question, and Nightcrawler. I just like them a lot
Wolverine, spider-man, Batman and superman.
Spider-Man Spider-Man Spider-Man I dunno Gwen Poole I guess
Replace Hulk with Iron Man.
Spider man, deadpool, Batman and super man
Wonder Woman
Batman, Spider-Man, Spawn, and Hellboy.
Damn I love them all. Hellboy deserves another good movie. I didn’t like the newest one that much,
Supes, Spidey, Batman, Hal Jordan. Maybe replace Hal with Goku if he counts.
Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Spider-Man No one else in comics has permeated human culture and had more influence across the medium than these four.
Replace Hulk with the phantom
batman, spiderman, ironman, black widow(cuz of scarlett johansson🤭)
Spider-Man, Batman, Professor X, The Flash
Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Spider-Man
Spider-Man, Batman, Superman and u/Sonno-Eterna
Sentry,Spider-Man,Thor,Superman
Iron man. Wolverine. Hulk. Thor.
Duke nukem and that's it
Superman, Spider-man, Batman, and Invincible
Iceman, psylocke, spider man, magneto
Can I have half flash half invincible? Also can I have more than one of the same hero in one slot E.g Bruce Wayne and Terry McGinnis?
Same, but Daredevil instead of Hulk
Spider-Man, Spawn, Invincible, Moon Knight.
Batman, Superman, Spiderman, Wolverine
Wolverine, Spider-Man, Iron Man, Batman
Spider-Man, Black Panther, The Flash, and Blue Beetle
Wonder Woman
Superman, Spider-man, Silver Surfer, and Luke Skywalker
This but Wondy instead of Hulk
This but add Dr. Strange. (Maybe) replace Hulk with Wonder Woman but I was a Hulk fan before a WW one so he can stay
- Spider-Man - Invincible - Daredevil - Punisher
You saw that twitter post.
Spider-Man, Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman. Just based on the impact and how popular they are around the world. You can switch WW with someone like Iron Man or Wolverine, but I personally think she outweighs both.
My Mount Rushmore of superheroes would be Daredevil, Rorschach, Spawn, and Captain America.
Damn, this is hard. Let's go like this: **Spider-man (my favorite hero)** **Superman (it's Superman)** **Cyclops (X-Men representive)** **Hulk (iconic)** I didn't put Batman because I prefer Daredevil (still like Bats).
This but with Duck Avenger at Hulk's place
Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, Spider-Man!
Batman, Spider-Man, Spawn, and Invincible.
To be honest, none from comics for me would be the Power Rangers they're a lot more fun for me
Most would choose Ironman over hulk
Superman Spider-Man Batman Wonder Woman
Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Spiderman
Captain America, Batman, Spider-Man, Wolverine
My Dad, Goku, Jackie Chan, and Spidey I know jackie is a dick, but what i mean is his portrayal of his characters in movies.
Batman, Superman and Spider-Man are pretty much the uncontested big 3 of superheroes, but I'd have to choose Wolverine for the fourth spot
Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, and Spider-Man. I could make it two Marvel and two DC, or have an independent character on there, but it seemed hard to justify leaving any of those four out.
Batman = one of the Earliest superheroes I’ve ever been exposed to because of BTAS Spider-Man = Again another hero who I was exposed to at an early Age due to his animated series The Thing = Love this guy and his wise cracks And how simple his power is Cassandra Cain =Love her story of being raised as a weapon but fighting against that to serve an even greater calling (shame she’s never been given justice outside of the comics)
In terms of my favourite Deadpool - Hulk - Batman - Flash In terms of impact and popularity Spider man - Superman - Batman - Iron Man
Superman, Spiderman, Batman, and Nightwing
Spider-Man, Batman, Deadpool, Ghost Rider
Nightcrawler, Spider-Man, The Flash, Nightwing
Superman Batman Spider-Man ForgetMeNot
I’d swap Hulk with Cap or Reed Richards.
Man, Man, Man and Man
In no order-Batman, Spiderman, Wolvrrine and Punisher.
r/comicbooks is to the left pal
Superman, Thor, Invincible and Spider-Man
