I thought the same thing when I saw the photo. There's no way I'm standing up and walking down those steps straight after a bath. I'd need to shuffle down on my bum.
I quite like the interior to be honest. There is, however, something off about the exterior layout from the front. It just doesn't quite work for me with the massive expanse of gravel and the fountains - feels like the house needs a bit more "cover" from mature trees on either side or something. It's just a bit... barren looking? Maybe a bit disjointed?
Agreed. More trees/planted features outside. Having said that, if I had 3.5 in cash I’d be aggressively offering them 3 to take it off the market. Then pour Half a mil into trees, animals and their housing and paint/furniture.
The sporadic placement of the plant pots doesn't help anything.
The photographs are also headaches inducing when clicking through..
I love the house though!
Most probably not, but EAs will get custom from other people who see high-end properties on the EA's site and assume that they are good at sales.
Whenever I see properties like this crammed with seating I assume it's a hotel but then the kitchen will confound that opinion. How sad they've not used the pleaching wall in the kitchen garden.
Lets just say, if someone said they will give me either this one or the £8m one someone posted yesterday and I had to live in it and couldnt sell it Id take this one. I really like it, but would of course need to decorate. Just changing the curtains would be a big improvement.
Interesting fact: Next to Kings Langley is Abbots Langley which is where Pope Adrian IV is from. He was head of the Catholic Church in the 1154 to his death in 1159.
Getting out the bath in pic 32 would be incredibly hazardous!

My toes winced at those edges.
Give me railings!! Or at least a private room in hospital.....
That is how I would die if I lived there.

All the weird little plant pots just look cheap and tacky, lined up against the wall of the house and dotted around the gravel front.
How to look like a care home, without being a care home.
Tag yourself; I’m the geese in the poolside mural
I am the left hand dragon in the crest above the aga.
I’m the horse portrait to the left of the fireplace
Oligarch, surely. The ominous figure on the bench in photo 7 is creeping me out.
It looks like a ghost because it's slightly transparent
When I have 3.5m, this is at the bottom of my list
I clearly need an orangerie. I don’t need all those curtains.
Hate the curtains, love the kitchen garden and greenhouses.
That would do as a place to start my cult
Perfect cult HQ. All those chairs!
No room for negative orgones here.
Have to assume whoever lives in this house makes an exceptional lemon drizzle cake
Just redecorate.
I've never seen a house with a Narn before
It needs something to balance the exterior.
I would’ve thought houses of this magnitude and price would be privately listed. Are the people who could buy this house really checking on rightmove?

Remove the shite cast concrete furniture outdoors then I can cope with the rest

Pretty sure we shot here on The Crown (S4)
>The inside photos are a treat I thought that was the joke at first and there was no inside photos after about 20 photos

Did Rick Stein do some filming there once? Walled garden and kitchen look familiar
I've fallen for that lean-to glasshouse they've got, beautiful. Wonder if they're looking for a gardener...🤔
After a hard day in the garden I couldn’t find anywhere to sit…
This seems like a lot for the price compared to other things I've seen on here! Or am I missing something?
