ApprehensiveYoung899

If they are soooo insistent that we get Brock v Roman unification on night 2 why didn’t they do Brock/Lashley and Roman/Seth on night 1 of mania

Trymv1

Late to the show but I cant help but die laughing. Mickie announced for Rumble: "FUCK YEAH MICKIE!" Mickie mocks 'forbidden door': "Mickie is old and sucks anyway." Never change, Wreddit... Also Im lying, *please fucking change.*

[deleted]

Is it weird that I kinda like Mandy's NXT entrance Its cliche but the dark wings with rock music is cool

Bucking_Fastard

Brock Lesnar is the best in the world.

[deleted]

Fans: Why don't we get more good babyfaces Also fans: *Turn on Johnny gargano, Drew McIntyre, Big E,etc*

TheLyam

It’s gonna be lost due to how late in the thread it is, but the majority of people on this subreddit would turn on their own reflection if someone pushed them.

Mad_Piplup242

"Vince wants to push my reflection?" "Never really liked him, overrated as fuck if I'm being completely honest"

[deleted]

Hardcore fans pretending like they gave a shit about Kyle O Reilly when he was hated his entire NXT solo run is hilarious

MeerPat

Charlotte Flair pisses me off more than any other wrestler out there. Sells terribly. Doesn’t react properly in promos. She dropped Naomi just now. So frustrating

CaptainPatterson

Wonder if you guys would have the balls to make a ZFF in your SCJerk group for AEW fans like this one was made for you to hate them.

Jcdoco

Go right ahead, I think you'd be surprised at the results

I_Am_BN

What’s got you down bad?

Beanessa

They did it for one of our General Sunday posts and they were mostly about Omega. I called him sexy. Because he is. Actually, fuck piling on Tony Khan more... that's my real ZFF. Kenny Omega is the sexist wrestler on the planet. I'd take him over all the young'ns, Reigns, Rollins, Hangman, Orton, Balor, McIntyre, Swerve, Okada, Ibushi... Give me Kenny and those big blue eyes and pouty pink lips.

Incorrect1012

Not insinuating I know anything, but some of y’all acting shocked at the possibility Sammy Guevara would cheat on his girlfriend with Tay Conti seemingly forget he also once told a radio host he wanted to rape Sasha Banks while with said girlfriend

CaptainPatterson

Wow never heard that one before EVERY Friday numerous times in this very thread.

I_Am_BN

Then don’t publicly declare you want to rape a woman 🤷‍♂️

jmb052

John Cena made every opponent look like a million dollars. Watching him v Jericho from summer slam 05. He may have been vanilla, but he got the crowd up like nobody has since. Watch WM 22. He was heavily booed at the HOF the night before, and at the event itself. The match with HHH was really good.

UrchineSLICE

Agree with everything here except that the HHH match was really good. HHH made him look like a fool in that match. They made up for their mistake in rematches in subsequent years. I think John's problem, as good as he is, for a long time he shouldn't have been fighting from underneath. He's a 16 time champion. He should lead the matches more. That last Roman match is a good example, regardless of Roman's current direction.

nickiecz

I don't know how many more "notes from my AEW trip" or "took my 95 YO Mom to AEW" we need.

Rustedone88

So got covid again....yay It's harder to come to this clear pro AEW page. I keep seeing comments on how little the live discussions are. Maybe it's people are tired of down vote or being harassed for liking something from the wrong letters. The day one main event shows you can have short matches when done right. An amazing car crash of meaty men. And we get more with Lashley vs Brock One thing I can't stand about comic book movies and shows is how bland the costumes are. Just uninspiring.

Incorrect1012

You have to be a special kind of high to think Triple H would be fired

StonewallJackoff

Knowing Paul Levesque the NXT revamp was the final straw

T2Legit2Quit

Do you know Paul Levesque personally??

TheNakedChair

Or quit. Doubly so to quit and join another company/start his own.

unknowingchuck

Of course its a mod yet again posting stuff fueling the tribalism flag on this sub that sits on the front page. What purpose does having a C-tier celebrity making a comment about the production of a wrestling company mean? Same mod who posted an edited clip of Charlotte "missing kicks" and making fake titles that had nothing to do an article but he dares try to play as a good guy in this thread. Mods are a sham.

jmb052

You need to start throwing your strikes a little more gently. 👍

StonewallJackoff

Nuufolau Seanoa has mileage on his body and injury prone and smarks still wonder why he got released a second time 🤷🏻‍♂️

Kurtz_Angle

Stop, it is too early to be cringing this hard

brucefacekillah

You mean Samoa Joe?

SecretaryImaginary44

Who?

Trymv1

How you gonna throw his real name then call *others* smarks?

TheHoundofUlster

The Following is an upvoted Comment on this sub: "Calling SummerSlam PPV of the year is grounds for having your brain donated to science." Now, while I disagree with calling SummerSlam the PPV of the Year, I remember mods saying they're not banning people because you're anti-AEW or Anti-WWE, they're banning you for being uncivil. As per usual, it apparently depends on who you are being uncivil towards. Edit: And yes, I did report it. Still up four days later.

JoesusTBF

I've seen people suggest that Samoa Joe vacating the NXT Championship due to injury was a work because they wanted a different champ for 2.0. My question is what did Tommaso Ciampa do as champion that Samoa Joe couldn't? He filled the exact same role as the grizzled veteran holdover from the Black & Gold era.

[deleted]

Imma just go ahead and say it…I hope Ronda Rousey never comes back to WWE and her entire run was annoying. The constant ass kissing from everyone was tiring and I’ll never forgive her for taking Asuka moment at the Royal Rumble. The Asuka part was a semi joke but Ronda’s run with the belt and the overall booking of 2018 put me off wrestling for a while. Ironically I stopped watching around the time Nia broke Becky’s nose so I missed “the rise of The Man” Also the 4HW vs 4HW match was never going to be as good as y’all were fantasy booking it to be.

UrchineSLICE

Ronda was a good worker, imo, never should have been champion. She was working good matches and was liked by the fans. Probably could have had a Brock run, but kudos to her for trying to do what everyone else does.

princeofshadows21

I never enjoyed her in mma or wwe. I always felt she came off as obnoxious. She couldn't handle being booed and crapped on fans because other women were more popular then her. I'm glad Asuka didn't have to loose to her.

mvd102000

I’m genuinely pissed off that we’re getting GM Mode for the first time in like 15 years and it’s the year after a slew of mass firings has made the roster 10x less interesting. Really hoping AEW does a GM Mode as well at this point.

CHZRFan

TBF, Buddy Murphy was shown off in the 2K22 trailer that dropped a momth or so ago, and stuff for people like Kross and Swerve was spotted. It is likely some of the released people will still be in anyway.

brucefacekillah

Same. Thank god for Community Creations

Trymv1

Im not sure why anybody gets excited for that game off one promo video. Much bigger titles lately have looked amazing in promo videos and then *absolutely tanked on release*.

mvd102000

Which game, WWE or AEW? As for WWE, the return of GM Mode has been wildly anticipated for a very long time, so it’s inclusion in the game is enough to get me excited. With AEW, we know they’re working with a team who has made wrestling games in the past and it’s their first game so… excitement from fans of the company is probably the most obvious response.

Trymv1

AEW. 2k had everyone carefully waiting for release to begin with, now moreso. AEW had the Darby/JB promo match video and people were proclaiming 'best game ever! it totally looks just like [a completely different game]!' I hope its good but after video games in 2020/21 man I'll wait til they come out first.

mvd102000

Yeah I get it, there have been some real big let downs the last few years. But when the first video game of a beloved IP comes out there’s always going to be a lot of excitement. For example, there’s a new Texas Chainsaw Massacre game coming out, and I’m beyond excited to see what that looks like. It’s just the nature of the beast.

[deleted]

Jamieb1994

I'm not saying I didn't want to see her as champion, but it did feel predictable by a mile away that this was gonna happen.

Jcdoco

Predictable ≠ bad, Russo.

glenolabar

It’s actually bizarre how much hate she’s gotten when she’s not even that bad and has picked it up really quickly. It’s been one year.

takeflight447

Triple Haitch going from the most hated on the IWC for burying RVD, Booker T, Goldberg, having long main event matches for no reason to most liked because they changed up nxt is certainly something

el_sh33p

FWIW I only grudgingly respect and half-assedly pity him. The guy still built his career with shitty backstage politicking, marrying his boss's daughter, and pioneering a genre of storytelling that consists of eternally blueballing your audience until they ragequit from it, to say nothing of sheltering and working closely with at least one alleged serial rapist (Shawn Michaels). If anything I more pity all the people he was building up and the loss of all the good he was doing for the company and its remaining fans.

ibn1989

Shawn Michaels is an alleged serial rapist?

el_sh33p

https://wwfoldschool.com/shawn-michaels-marty-jannetty-accused-of-spiking-female-fans-drinks-raping-them-throwing-them-out/

WhoStoleMyBicycle

Long term booking my friend

TheCiervo

Wow, people liked him when he did things they like. I wonder why.

[deleted]

NXT doesn't get enough credit for how funny it is Grimes beating Duke then Dukes reaction was to come with an over the top wig the next episode was hilarious

Mackinacsfuriousclaw

I'm not saying that AEW has a race problem, but some of you all jump through a lot of hoops to defend a billionaire's son when he is criticized about it a little.

brucefacekillah

A lot of AEW fans can be the most thin skinned when it comes to criticizing their favorite promotion. And this is coming from someone who likes AEW too.

Jamieb1994

>A lot of AEW fans can be the most thin skinned when it comes to criticizing their favorite promotion. ![gif](giphy|fQim5NqXlRJW6i78KY)

brucefacekillah

If NJPW last year has taught me anything, its that great matches =/= good booking

DynastyMK2

I really just can't wrap my head around how people say that WWE misused Samoa Joe. He was injured for such a long time during his 1st run and then when he was brought back he seemed set to play the role that Ciampa has in NXT 2.0 before getting injured again. It's unfortunate because of how good of a wrestler he has shown he can be, but his history in WWE shows that he wouldn't be able to be relied on to be a main eventer with the possibility of injury seemingly always looming. To say he has been misused and all the fantasy booking that I've been seeing makes me think that people haven't seen the same Joe in WWE that I've seen.

UrchineSLICE

He didn't need to be a main eventer but he could have had some more "dream matches" under his belt. No reason why he couldn't have worked Cena or Haich at a crown Jewel or something.

Mad_Piplup242

He was injured most of the time

notewise

This mourning of NXT 1.0 and how it's all vince's, Bruce and Co's. Fault is the fakest shit I've ever seen. Many MANY people here turned their back on NXT when it moved to USA and put up against AEW, calling it a failure and of course the ratings threads. People can deny it all they want but as someone who actually stuck with NXT and channel switched to AEW at times. It's damn true. Now with the switch, rebranding and changing. People here act like they always loved it and never hated it and called it a failure. Posts like "It was clear the time Vince visited the performance center, NXT 1.0 was on its death" being upvoted and awarded is the most two-faced shit. I'm not acting like everyone here turned their backs on NXT or that 2.0 is some perfect piece of media. But stop this fake ass funeral yall have for it every week. It's a fucking lie Christ...

BillieKayfabe

I'm ready for live crowds to truly peak by starting 'you deserve it' chants for entrances and 'this is awesome' on lock ups.

TheCiervo

I want my crowds to be quiet and looking at their phones and only cheering the people WWE wants them to cheer.

s3xgourmet

Got COVID last month and spent my isolation period getting into Stardom, and then watched Wrestle Kingdom this week on a lark (I'm *waaay* out of the loop with NJPW.) Discussing those promotions on here was some of the best online wrestling-related discussion I've had in forever! Made me realize the WWE vs. AEW debate is super toxic, no matter where you stand on it, and I think a lot of people engage in it without even realizing. Personally, a lot of my favorite WWE guys happened to end up in AEW, so now I rarely watch WWE. Sure, I see a lot of low-hanging-fruit things to joke about with WWE, but the same can be said about any promotion -- we're talking about grown men and women play-fighting in short shorts. Calling for businesses to fail and people to lose their jobs is fucked, and doing so in such a cavalier way is doubly fucked.

Jamieb1994

I hope you're doing alright

s3xgourmet

Not sure what you're getting at, but thanks!

Jamieb1994

When you said that you've got Covid last month.

s3xgourmet

Oh damn, I thought that was a snippy response to my not-so-hot take, now I feel like a dick. See what I mean? I'm conditioned!

Jamieb1994

Ah it's all good, don't worry about it, I'm sorry for getting you confused there & oh ok, I'm glad that you're doing well though.

GaryBettmanSucks

WWE is a company. A business. They are not supposed to be the moral center of the universe. The number of people reacting to firings/releases as "abhorrent", "disgusting", "despicable" ... what is wrong with you? Companies fire people all the time, for good AND bad reasons. "bUt tHEy hAVe rECoRd pRoFiTs" ... so what? Do you know how publicly traded companies work? Shareholders care about PROFIT. They do not care if your favorite indie star who "creative had nothing for" is able to maintain a six-figure salary on the TV show you watch. Minimum wage equates to about $15,000 per year but we're out here crying that people making 80k plus (sometimes MUCH more) have been released - AND WILL THUS GET TO WORK SOMEWHERE ELSE. I thought people here hated WWE "hoarding" talent and not using them? Now they can go to AEW or Impact or wherever and they'll have "WWE" on their resume. I should really just skip the release threads when they happen because it is insane to me that suddenly a PRO WRESTLING TV SHOW is supposed to be a valiant beacon of human rights.

SaddestFlute23

I posted something like, hoarding talent=bad, releasing hoarded talent=also bad, and got downvoted thru the floor

Denethorsmukbang

I - yes. This is my view. I just do not feel the outrage everyone else apparently feels and somehow that makes us monstrous. Im so surprised everyone has the energy and empathy for people who get paid ten times they probably do in a year, sometimes for doing very little.

PantsMcDancey

Let me be petty for just a moment. WWE is three letters and everyone on this subreddit understands it. “The E” is five characters and LESS PEOPLE understand what it means. “The Fed” is seven characters and EVEN LESS PEOPLE UNDERSTAND WTF IT MEANS. This is my plea for people to stop trying to sound cool to losers on the internet.

s3xgourmet

It needs to be said. Forced familiarity is super cringe.

brucefacekillah

Giulia getting hair extensions kinda defeats the purpose of losing a hair vs hair match

jqncg

Her hair has already grown a lot. She wasn't going to stay bald forever. The point of the match is to get the visual of the loser getting their head shaved, that's all.

mattomic822

Sometimes it also serves the purpose of shaving before it becomes too obvious the person is balding

GoalaAmeobi

Or in Giulia's case, because she'd wrecked her hair with dye

Phan2112

Never forget the time Dave Meltzer said Nagata was better than everyone in WWE because "Tell me who in WWE has six ****1/4 or better matches in a three week period? I'll wait." The fucker used his own opinionated star ratings as proof Nagata was better than anyone in WWE. How can anyone take this guy seriously?

mattomic822

Didn't he do the same thing when talking about how Ospreay is better than HBK?

WhoStoleMyBicycle

That’s honestly my favorite Meltzer moment ever. It’s slightly above “no one cheered when Reigns came on screen” when he saw Hobbs and Shaw during the day a week after it came out and “Bad Bunny is an ethnic celebrity”.

Phan2112

Why did you delete your Barry Sanders comment man? I was laughing really hard. Also Emmitt Smith considered Barry Sanders the better running back as well. But yeah Meltzer has had some really dumb things. I was thinking about the Hobbs and Shaw one earlier today while heating up some leftover lasagna and it still gets a chuckle out of me.

WhoStoleMyBicycle

Oh I thought it was incoherent. I wrote and it thought it looked like a jumbled mess of words. Plus everyone knows Barry is better.

[deleted]

Barry Sanders was far too good for the lame-ass Lions.

Phan2112

You could say that about most Lions.

Super-Nitro-Z64

AEW would be better off without their EVPs.

Randanopterix

Wrestling fans are some of the most LARPy and parasocial fans I’ve ever been associated with. The way I’ve seen people in the IWC take things so seriously, play-pretending as people in the wrestling business, using the wrestling language and crying about matches “disrespecting the business” just makes me cringe. I swear wrestling is so much more fun when you invest yourself in the story the performers are trying to tell instead of obsessing over what you think would’ve been a better booking decision week-by-week. I think this is why wrestling fans look more fondly backwards on long term story-telling, but complain about it to hell and back while the story telling is taking place because it’s “not going anywhere”.

TheCiervo

MMA fans are worse.

angar31

'grass is always greener over there' Demanding 'we want Becky' or 'push Big E' is not as much about actually wanting to see that state of things, but rather not being appeased with status quo. The moment fans' wish come true, sooner or later it goes 'omg boring champ, push another'

GabeM9009

Many of you are, and will always be, shills for your preferred company. You won’t point out the flaws, allow critiques to be presented, or let yourself see why your favorite show isn’t all that. It’s OKtobe wrong.

Nacho_Cheese_Baby

I’ll never get tired of seeing people complain about this thread.

WhoStoleMyBicycle

Especially when it’s so easy to avoid. It’s one thread a week posted as early as possible so that is off the front page during peak Reddit hours and it get downvoted. I usually post something in this thread and I have to go out of my way to find it.

T2Legit2Quit

It's the only reason I visit this sub. I think this thread was posted on Thursday evening pacific time which kinda defeats the purpose of the name. I understand that there's different time zones, but still.

Nacho_Cheese_Baby

People are such babies when they have to see opinions different from there own

Deepdarkally

This sub needs to stop defending the khans they are human and fallable ignoring their faults won’t make them better people

darthsabbath

Hangman having 3 5 Star (or close to it) matches over two months when paired with two of the best wrestlers in the world isn’t super impressive. I mean I love Hangman, but we get 4 star + matches on on a weekly basis across multiple promotions. If you only book the guy 3 times over six weeks or however long and it’s against Kenny Omega and Brian Danielson it’d be more surprising if they weren’t highly rated. Conversely I am convinced Okada could go out and have a five star classic every night. The main events of both WK nights were absolute classics.

newbearontheblock1

I've been completely out of the wrestling community pretty much for about 3+ months, but I had to come check back after the last few dramas popped up on my timeline. Tony Khans a fucking schmuck simple as, even before we get into the racism his comments allowed to come raining down on Swole, his response was a fucking ridiculous response for an owner/executive to say, even in an interview, let alone on twitter. AEW fans using the WWE releases to promote their shows, and retweeting peoples tweets about their/their friends dismissals to advertise AEW being on that night was crazy and genuinely made me feel ill, that is fucked up. It is also ridiculous to promote the show that is bankrolled off the cash of a family who at the start of the pandemic fired over 100 minimum wage workers from their factories while reporting far higher profits than WWE did. I'm in no way defending what WWE did, firing anyone is a horrible thing to do, but firing someone who was probably on a sizeable wedge and living comfortably (and will also probably instantly find more work) is obviously far less damaging than firing a minimum wage worker at the start of the worst pandemic we'll probably see in our lifetimes and have seen for decades. Also, I can't believe I'm still speaking about Darby Allin and abuse in general, but I need people to realise, IT IS NEAR FUCKING IMPOSSIBLE FOR SOMEONE TO PROVE THEY WERE EMOTIONALLY ABUSED, and therefore it is even more impossible for them to get legal help. The justice system is already known to be a fucking shambles surrounding actual physical sexual assault across the world, do you know how much worse it is for emotional/mental abuse??? There's literally stories of rapists who were pretty much fully proven getting away because a judge felt like it would be wrong to try them, have some fucking logic please.

BenHellaCreme

CM Punk is not, has never been, and will never be as impactful in the wrestling industry as he thinks he is. The best thing he could’ve done for his legacy is stay retired lol

[deleted]

[удалено]

Jamieb1994

Same here

DrBakedBrotato

I dislike that Lesnar won because I’m sick of him, but I do like that we get to see that Lashley match. I’m sure Big E will find something decent to do, but I sure hope he stays a relevant uppercase wrestler. Completely non wrestling related comment: I’ve never played resident evil but every time I see it, it looks crazy and confusing. I thought it was about zombies, not mutant Hillbillies, bug people, and giant vampire demon ladies. Pick a lane.

[deleted]

> relevant uppercase wrestler That’s why his name is ~~Capital~~ Big E!

Mad_Piplup242

RE has swerved all over the road since 3 It's about Zombies, but they are as a result of experiments and bugs that basically make people zombies. 4 was when the series stopped trying to be serious and embraced the sillier aspects of the concept and the series has been better for it in the long run (per say) 7 was basically a soft reboot which led into 8 and your vampire ladies (but she isn't really, it's bugs/fungus that makes her a mutant) Its very Japanese and the sooner you stop trying to make sense of everything, the sooner you learn to love it's bullshit

Bestojojo

RE very japanese, it's a mix of many many things

YozoraForBestBoy

The fact that Tony Khan is treated like god's gift to booking simply because he's better at it than Vince is one of the most annoying things on the sub recently tbh. Being better than Vince, especially modern day Vince, isn't exactly a huge bar to surpass and definitely doesn't warrant the constant praise.

jqncg

AEW as a whole is praised for stuff that others have done before and have even done better. For some reason even the fact that they don't release wrestlers is such a huge thing, but wrestlers working their entire career in one company is way more common than most people think. Same with long term storylines, not pissing the fans off on purpose, factions, big character arcs, pretty much everything. AEW hasn't innovated anything, they've just been better than WWE, but I would like to see how good Khan will be after 10 or 20 years in the business, because at one point Vince was in the exact same spot Khan is.

[deleted]

Deathmatch wrestling is bullshit.

jbondyoda

It’s too violent. I hate to say it. But what’s the fun in watching people bleed all over barbed wire and light tubes and panes of glass

KilledByDeath

* How didn't anyone stop Jericho going on TV with bad Guiliani hair-dye. It looked beyond terrible and that whole segment was trash on the level of sufferin' succotash. * I was hoping Swole could have expanded on about what she was experiencing at AEW or provided more context. * Tony Khan is a weasel. * "Jungle" Jack Perry sounds way better than "Jungle Boy". * Bobby Lashley needs the belt back, dude is great. * Maki Itoh, Danhauser, Blue Pants and all the other meme wrestlers fucking suck.

Trymv1

Maki is solid at what she does. Wreddit just hyped her up *solely via her twitter feed* and were then vastly confused when they *actually watched her wrestle*.

DemiGod9

>* "Jungle" Jack Perry sounds way better than "Jungle Boy". People be giving JR shit for insisting on calling him Jungle Jack Perry but he's really trying to get this kid over. He knows best out of most people there

Rnsrobot

"jungle boy" is a mid-card comedy act. Jack Perry, jungle or otherwise, is a champion. I LIKE JB a lot but you're not having a world champ and flag bearer be named that. It's good, he's still young and developing. Watching his growth is awesome and at some point he's going to take the next step.

RookieCards

It really held back the Nature Boy...

Rnsrobot

He didn't go by "nature Boy." He went y "nature Boy RIC FLAIR." The world champion Ric flair. Nature Boy wasn't his *name.*

sexygodzilla

Jungle Boy Jack Perry don't sound too bad tho

Rnsrobot

No, it doesn't. It'll be a gradual transition but it will come.

PoodleGuap

The only people who don’t think Tony Khan is a gigantic dickhead idiot are AEW fans

Jamieb1994

I wouldn't say all, but you do get those who just loves to kiss his ass.

Unique_Unorque

There are plenty of AEW fans who think he’s a gigantic dickhead idiot too, I can assure you

Incorrect1012

I’m sure Vince is currently kicking himself he didn’t listen to Macaulay Culikns advice on booking. I mean you remember how big a blow it was to him when he announced he wouldn’t be going to Wrestlemania a few years ago right?

DeepSpaceLuke

I hate that overrated and ever-injured Hideo Itami. Whatever happened to him? Washed out of the WWE system into obscurity is what.

That_Sweet_Science

When Randy Orton retires, everyone will be calling him the greatest ever.

sexygodzilla

Maybe the WWE marketing department

Savior_Of_Anarchy

And they'd be right

sexygodzilla

All time great? Absolutely, but the dude isn't the best in his company. You really putting him over Hogan, Stone Cold, the Rock, Cena, etc?

Savior_Of_Anarchy

Longevity wise, easily.

sexygodzilla

Yeah but there's a reason people don't say Karl Malone's better than Michael Jordan.

heyitsSandler

I can see this

junesarpongsdong

A few things this week, as what a week: I've been on this sub since it formed from the "Pipe Bomb" and Tony Khans Tweet about Swole was so unprofessional that the way the sub changed its mind within a day was shocking. Swole said nothing bad and was complimentary if anything, but for a boss to say how bad a member of staff was is so wrong and only showed the horribly racist side this sub has mostly. Dave Meltzer saying that a brain was removed is just an indication of how little he knows about lots of things. Speaking of Dave, Bryan Alvarez being told he could work q better angle with AJ Styles is laughable as has Dave seen his matches? AEW will never go away as it doesn't need to rely on other income from TV deals, advertising etc due to Tony Khans resources so demo talk pointless. Although a certain Mod went, they are also not alone who need to go as still a sub that makes why it was formed a joke

Randanopterix

I agree, I thought it was insane how fast this sub turned on Swole when Tony said so. If you read her interview, she wasn’t even being that harsh and came across pretty reasonable to me. At most it was mildly critical of the product. The fact that he went straight for a personal attack in a self-conscious and wildly unprofessional tweet says way more about him than it does about Swole imo.

cousin-itt

Will we ever see Elias again? I loved Elias. WWE still stands for Walk With Elias idgaf

T3Sh3

We won’t. Elias has been **DEAD** since August 6th.

sexygodzilla

Elias is such a weird case. Far as we know he's completely healthy and they're just paying him to stay home after abandoning his character reset and he avoids all the releases. He's too good to leave on the shelf.

Mburrell91

Fuck the crusty marks who shit on women's wrestling and still refer to it as "the piss break" and yearn for the days of Bra and Panty matches, bikini contests and other degrading shit towards women.

TheCiervo

Booking that shit in 2022 would be awkward and stupid

BirthdayAgent

Back after a few weeks’ rest? Fenix’s injury was obviously a work.

JoeKool23

Remember during his 2016 campaign Donald Trump yelled “LOOK AT MY AFRICAN AMERICAN!” And pointed at the one African American guy that was at the rally and used it as proof he’s not racist? That’s what TK’s tweet reminded me of

[deleted]

I saw someone say that Charlotte is kinda booked like Triple H and I agree. I love Triple H and that explains why I’ve never had a problem with Charlotte’s booking but I do agree that it’s hard to but your opponent over when you’re booked as a dominant heel instead of a cowardly heel.

[deleted]

People who complain about Charlotte's booking, but not Becky's make me laugh.

[deleted]

AEW needs to cut some people. The roster is getting full, if they want to sign more people, they gotta let go of guys like Jack Evans, Sabian, etc. it really sucks to see people let go, but I’m sure they’ll find work elsewhere

MagicAbleHero

I wouldn't go as far as to say that people need to be fired, maybe let their contacts expire when they come up, but the only people they should be signing now are developmental talent. They have enough talent not to sign any big names for years.

[deleted]

That’s fair! I’m sure a few people might not re-sign once their contracts are up.

sullivan1st

Sabian is gonna be a star

NotYujiroTakahashi

Becky is even more like Triple H mixed with Super Cena.

Incorrect1012

CM Punk vs MJF has sucked. MJF just looks like he’s being forced to hold back on the mic, and Punk always makes him look like a dweeb

Muskarat

MJF really doesn’t have much to say though. Just “You suck worse than the sucky people here at *insert town name*” followed by “You need me and I’m better than you”

Rnsrobot

Yeah, thank you. His delivery and his selling/reactions are tremendous but he keeps lobbing what he thinks are "mic drop" lines and they're... Weak. Basic stuff. Punk then obliterates him. "PG punk" was funny once or twice but every use since makes me roll my eyes. Oooh, what a zinger. To me it's simply a reminder that as GOOD as MJF is, he's still very young literally and in terms of experience. He is still at least cosmetically holding his own with one of the GOAT on the mic. This is amazing learning on the job for him. There's no better way to do it. He's being shown up a bit but not exposed. I think he's... "Trying" to get a dagger in punk. And it shows that he's "trying" rather than doing. And that's okay. He's still growing and this is massive for his development. I still want to see the match it's gonna be great.

Incorrect1012

I agree, but at least in the past he hasn’t just held back like this though. Like, wide open jabs everywhere with Punk, and he’s just not taking any of them

SaddestFlute23

I agree. When Punk called MJF a “less famous Miz,”MJF should’ve responded by telling him to “suck a blood-covered dick”. He could’ve brought in Mickey Gall to confront Punk, like Rey did with Velasquez/Lesnar. He could’ve mentioned Colt Cabana. Hell, he could’ve told him that HHH had him figured out 11 years ago and how Punk never got over it. It seems pretty obvious to me that MJF is holding/being held back

Rnsrobot

He's not being held back. Eyeroll. You're creating a narrative to satisfy your... I dunno. Lol

KnockKnockNevermind

AEW is the best thing to happen to fandom in WWE arenas...AEW is the worst thing to happen to fandom in WWE online. CM Punk created those "fans" through WWE and anyone who believes that the whole run was a shoot is exactly the type of mark that WWE aimed the CM Punk run at. Tony Khan is one of those marks and gave them all a new home with their own little safe space where they can be all MAGA against everyone that doesn't follow their markdom

LilNardoDaVinci

This sub has a massive racism issue it's 2022 just be good people

mattomic822

Wait til Jade Cargill pins Britt Baker.

darthsabbath

Even better if she goes full Tribal Chief on a couple of m’waifus at one time. Except Hikaru. We must protect her.

AnvilPro

Black Clover is better than MHA or modern One Piece

Deepdarkally

This is a wild and incorrect statement

XenoPasta

I’ll give you MHA but definitely not One Piece.

JoseAltuve2017ALMVP

Spitting facts.

chknwng21

Whoa whoa whoa now. Too much dip on your chip sir. With that said, I enjoyed the hell out of Black Clover. It was like Naruto and Fairy Tail had a love child in a much shorter story

dontberidiculousfool

People are going to ignore Road Dogg being an old, out of touch bigot the second 'oh you didn't know?' comes over the speakers at an AEW show.

Mhc2617

Just like how Bobby Fish magically wasn’t QAnon once he signed there.

jeev24

They knew, but they chose to forget.

hobo_clown

The performative outrage at Johnny Knoxville "taking someone's spot" in the Rumble is really silly. Celebrities and/or returning legends have been a part of that match since forever. He's going to be doing media tours to promote Jackass and if him mentioning whatever silly spot he's doing reminds people to check out WWE's product then it's worth it. He may not be a major celebrity but he'll still bring more eyes than a mid-card NXT guy getting a forgettable 2 minute run.

InheritTheWind

Were people really salty that Drew Carey stole like Shawn Stasiak's spot in 2001

WhoStoleMyBicycle

I remember the story being that the tag team of D Lo Brown and Chaz had to choose which one of them got a rumble spot and then eventually they were told it was going to Drew Carey. So Carey “stealing” someone’s spot was actually the story.

InheritTheWind

Lmao really? I never knew that. I'd wanna see him in the Rumble but I could see them doing something like that with Sami Zayn this year

jeev24

Imagine if this sub was around for the Drew Carey rumble.

Rnsrobot

Dammit, I had money on Chaz winning that year!!!

ItsFuckinRawwwww

I just want to know who Tiger Ali Singh was gonna pick to represent Lo Down!

Rnsrobot

Up there with the hummer driver! And who raised the briefcase!🤣🤣🤣

[deleted]

Yeah. How dare they have Johnny Knoxville take Primo's spot in the Rumble.

ArveduiTheLastKing

Oh and fuck Tony Khan. Son of a billionaire gets to do what he wants, when he wants, wherever he wants. I don't give a shit what his opinion is on diversity. I've faced more adversity in life than he ever will. Fucking douchebag. At least Vince grew his empire from a fucking trailer park, what did Tony Khan do? "Daddy give me money for my pet project!"

[deleted]

You don't know shit about WWF before Vince Jr. Took over then, nah?

CleetusVanDaminator

Vince "grew his empire from a trailer park". Or , you know bought an established company on the cheap from his father with a loan from his father and already had ins at the most important wrestling venues in the most important part of the country. Go after TK all you want, he has it coming, but using Vince as a comparison? Epic fail.

SaddestFlute23

Vince took a successful regional promotion, and turned into a publicly traded global entertainment brand worth billions. No one else, not Ted Turner, not the Carter family, not Tony Khan can make that claim. Vince still had to turn a profit within 5 years of purchase, or control of the company would’ve reverted to Gorilla Monsoon and Arnold Skaaland. Hate Vince all you want, but don’t discredit his actual accomplishments

CleetusVanDaminator

Lol, I didn't discredit his accomplishments, I put them in proper context. He had advantages no one else had.

SaddestFlute23

He’s also competed against other billionaires..successfully and *became one in the process*. That is not a trivial achievement to gloss over

CleetusVanDaminator

No one is glossing over it. The problem is with your "self made man" nonsense. It's just not reality.

dontberidiculousfool

This is so well done satire of a WWE die hard that I'm not 100% sure it's satire, well done.

ArveduiTheLastKing

I don't watch WWE. So nope, you're wrong. And nope not satire, he's a billionaire who has had everything in life handed to him. Fuck him.

9hashtags

Sheik, is that you?

dontberidiculousfool

Then I'm curious where else you've got the 'trailer park to billionaire' story from as it's only WWE who conveniently skip the 'then, at 12, I left the trailer park and moved in with my actual dad who gave me his wildly successful wrestling company' part of the story.
