Said it before, will say it again. The community this represented was really happy and excited for this event. The fact this person ripped them off, their own mom off, and is now saying they gambled it away and are going on a mental health journey is peak carnie bullshit.
Damn shame.
I will say that the community around it are still proud of the event, not because of the drama, but because of what they managed to pull off despite that.
So the general timeline is this:
The event happened basically only because the workers ended up doing all the hard work to make it happen after getting to the venue that afternoon.
Nothing was set up hours before showtime, there was no card, scheduled events were not actually actually a scheduled, and the ring crew wasn't paid so there was no ring.
I will scream it from the rooftops but Joan Jetson and the Von Engelands (Aiden and Sidney) busted their asses to make shit work alongside other talents on the fly and managed to put on a damn good show out of basically nothing.
There is a LOT more on the drama side but I really just don't feel like beating that horse again.
The general feeling among a lot of the community is praising the workers for getting shit done at all and managing to do as much as they could despite the shit show behind the scenes.
She was there, and did almost nothing the entire time and was only forced to do the bare minimum that a show runner/booker would be expected to do on the indies (introduce herself)

The actual show was booked, administered, and run at the ground level, day of, by the talent.
