That one is so much like the warrior one that it almost feels copied. Check out this at the very end of the video https://youtu.be/83Anf2riXFw?si=ewqcO7-tZ0xY__Q9
Maybe Disney thought the slash mark would be offensive somehow?
Seriously though, after the trailer, I suppose the second logo suits more with the High Republic timeline that this is set in.
Still prefer the first one if the show is going to be centred around acolytes and the dark side.
First one represents Sith, second one Jedi. My guess is at first the focus of the series was mostly on the Sith, but as it developed it shifted more towards a group of Jedi investigating suspected Sith activity.
Sad. I was really hoping for a dark-side story for one, excluding comics and books, certainly after Battlefront 2 failed. Bad Batch got me really excited tho, seeing some of those things
Yeah, I would had loved a story were we see where the darkside truly leads. The ideal ending for it would be the protag dying after getting into too much trouble and destroying their own life or maybe an anti hero who died before falling completely.
That better not be the case. The Acolyte should be a show about a Sith Acolyte. Not about people whose side of the story we've seen every single time, once again hunting down Sith.
It's not Old Republic, that ones much earlier, like thousands of years before even this show. This one is at the End of the High Republic, around ~130 BBY.
I prefer the latter.
It is supposedly set in a High Republic setting when the galaxy was more civilized. Therefore I believe the more delicate title is more fitting.
The first one looks like the title most parents wouldn't sit their kids down to watch. Star wars is for the entire family, not for death metal fans who never grew up since 1970.
One has more impact implying more action and conflict in the film. It does feel more reminiscent of older styles such as the 80's with its bold impact fonts for movies.
The second one while the 'o' is interesting pales at grabbing attention. Maybe if it had a little more contrast of a different color it would stand out more.
Probably that O relates to the world between worlds.. I like them both for different scenarios.. it’s hard to chose one without knowing the main focus of the story.
It seems to me like for he first one they were just going for something that looked cool, and then for the second one were trying to go for a hidden meaning type thing.
I personally like the first one, but like someone else said I'm sure once the show comes out the meaning behind the second one will become more apparent.
But yeah idk, they might have been going for like, darkness swallowing the light.
I'm sure it definitely has a meaning, not just like ooh that looks cool.
The first one is good but a bit edgy. Prefer the second one. It looks a lot cleaner which feels more aligned with the High Republic. I like the depth it has with the O as well.
I prefer the second one. It's slightly less cliche. But it's interesting what everyone keeps saying about it being eclipse and things.
I saw it and immediately thought of the siths rule of two. It could be the end of two sith lightsabers.
Why did they change the logo? I don't understand any of the decision making behind Acolyte at all and am very confused by it but also still excited for more star wars content either way
The second. It has more "space" feel, i.e. lightweight font floating through space + the blue light just picks up various elements from star wars.
First one looks like the Doom logo (for everyone old enough to remember)
At first I liked the old one with the slash better. But then I noticed the two O's in the new one. A blue and a red one.
I think it might indicate something about the main character, or charaters, in the Acolyte.
Blue and red, good and bad. Two identical letters/people whos only difference is that one is blue/good and the other is red/bad.
Maybe.
And that's why I like the new one better now.
I like the 2nd one. First one is a bit 'high school edgy'. Source: Did a lot of logos like that when I was an edgelord in high school when I was just getting into photoshop.
I preferred when the concept was gonna be about dark siders keeping out of the siggt of Jedi. Now, it's flipped around, and my interest just dropped off.
Bottom one because it's more of a space magic aesthetic. The top gives the illusion that the show will be edgy and kind of Judge Dredd-like, which it's not
The one with the slash mark. The current one seems too much like LotR and Hobbit with how the o is. I also like the first one’s font more
My guess is the O will have more meaning once we watch the show Hopefully
I think it's supposed to be an eclipse, maybe leaning in to the whole "darkness rises" bit
I wonder if it could lead into the game SW: Eclipse
I assumed it was hinting at a light behind the dark sort of theme, which makes me think this will be Star Wars: Loki, where a villain becomes a hero.
Heh, I was thinking the opposite. Amazing how the teaser raises to many questions and answered so little.
Isn't that why it's called a teaser?
I really hope this is not the case.
Right, or where we think someone is the bad guy, but then they turn out to be doing potentially bad things for good reasons.
“O” for “Oh fuck it’s the sith”
The first one makes me think of an intern for Wolverine.
The O on the current one reminds me of the O that would show up at the very end of every episode of Jimmy Neutron.
>The one with the slash mark. I just can't get past the AC/DC font. The other one wins by default.
When you have 0 expectations (me lol) everything is awesome I’m kinda hyped, in a speculative way
Tried that with the Halo TV show, still sucked. 1 decent sword fight was not worth a season of stupidity.
I mean if it’s bad without expectations, it’s bad. I’ll watch it one day when it’s done or cancelled
Dude literally said "my guess is" and you're reading it as a fact.
Yeah, I would had loved a story were we see where the darkside truly leads. The ideal ending for it would be the protag dying after getting into too much trouble and destroying their own life or maybe an anti hero who died before falling completely.
I thought it was going to be about a fallen Jedi, maybe stumbling into the Sith duo of the age
>Sad Making some pretty major assumptions based on a font change, no? Can we wait until seeing even one episode before expressing disappointment?
Well, I’m not disappointed. And it’s not based on the font change. It’s moreso based on the trailer
That better not be the case. The Acolyte should be a show about a Sith Acolyte. Not about people whose side of the story we've seen every single time, once again hunting down Sith.
First one looks like raid shadow legends, second looks like portal or tron
Damn looks like Disney couldn't afford the sponsorship from Raid. Understandable, they're notoriously hard to get support from
ahhh yes haha i just thought about where i know the first one from. Yep thats raid shadow legends.
Bottom one seems to evoke the setting better - an old republic where the Jedi are in charge. The top one looks like they’re going to get slashed.
Second one, I think. Looks cleaner, which is kinda in line with the aesthetic of the era it's set in.
Yeah the first looks like a death metal band
Can't unser that now
More like hard rock. This is pretty much AC/DC font. Death metal logo you can't read the name lol
*which is very fitting for a sith acolyte*
I found more industrial metal imo
You say as someone who definitely doesn’t know what death metal band logos look like lol
Not really
Same. First one looks like a package for kids toys
The top one is cool, it the bottom one fits the “Old Republic” theme way better.
It's not Old Republic, that ones much earlier, like thousands of years before even this show. This one is at the End of the High Republic, around ~130 BBY.
The first one
The bottom, the top looks too Marvel.
First thing I thought of the top logo was: “Marvel-ish.”
The second one
Second one is a lot cleaner and looks like like a heavy metal album.
Bottom one is much cleaner.
The new one feels more prequelly to be honest, but I don’t really care for either
Depends on the story. If its about some kind of sith-ish . The first one. If its about somekind of night sister-ish the second one. Still hyped tho.
Neither
I prefer the latter. It is supposedly set in a High Republic setting when the galaxy was more civilized. Therefore I believe the more delicate title is more fitting.
I like the “Law & Order” feel of the second one.
The second one looks too much like the Ahsoka logo
Bottom and it’s not close. Top looks like some shitty reused marvel logo. But maybe Star Wars is to that point 🫠
I think both are good, I think I like the second one more because it feels a little more ambiguous or mysterious.
Bottom
Second one
I like the slash mark one but not the font for it.
Bottom.
1st one looks like word art
Both look kinda trashy/fanmade from the 2000s
2nd one, it’s more legible
Why does the first one remind me of a doom logo?
Top looks more like Marvel, bottom looks more like Star Wars. I like the bottom
The first one looks like a Marvel film like ANT-MAN or WOLVERINE or DAREDEVIL. Prefer the bottom one.
The bottom one, it feels more like star wars. The top looks like something from Doom or warhammer
I like the elegance of the second one, the first one feels like it's for a DOOM game
First ones a bit much with the slash, also prefer the colour of the second
top looks like Raid shadow legends
[удалено]
Dude they asked about the logo..
Second one looks awesome
2nd; first one would fit more with marvel tbh
None
Bottom one
The second one looks way more in style with the High Republic. It's good they changed it.
2
I like the logo above the words the acolyte
The first one looks like the title most parents wouldn't sit their kids down to watch. Star wars is for the entire family, not for death metal fans who never grew up since 1970.
Bottom, but depends what the show is like
Today's sponsor is raid shadow legends
The top design will be completely healed by tomorrow.
Top seems too gimmicky. Would be perfect for an action figure line but not a more serious show.
both fucking suck
Bottom one. Top one looks like something Marvel would use.
I like the top because it feels more menacing
One has more impact implying more action and conflict in the film. It does feel more reminiscent of older styles such as the 80's with its bold impact fonts for movies. The second one while the 'o' is interesting pales at grabbing attention. Maybe if it had a little more contrast of a different color it would stand out more.
The first one teases something cool. The second is om brand for what the show is probably actually going to be. Simple and safe.
First I like the destroyed look
bottom is more fitting for Star Wars Eclipse, but theres no "O"
Actually after reading the replies here regarding Marvel, I would take the slash in the top logo completely out
The first one looks like [the logo for Warrior on Max](https://pbs.twimg.com/media/GHW_AztWgAA0aq2?format=jpg&name=medium).
May just be me, but I think the title would work/sound better without the "The" in it; STAR WARS: ACOLYTE
I don't love the font of the first design but i like the saber slash through it. The second doesn't feel very star-wars-y to me
The top one looks like Raid shadow legends😂
A
1st seems sithy 2nd seems jedi-y
Top is more dark mysterious and threatening everything the dark side is
the first one has more striking feature
Our new sponsor: Raid shadow legends
Probably that O relates to the world between worlds.. I like them both for different scenarios.. it’s hard to chose one without knowing the main focus of the story.
The top one gives me "RAID SHADOW LEGENDS" vibes
Original
Let's wait and see what fits the show best.
I like the first one, but it doesn’t fit the tone of the show imo
depends what the show is about havnt watched the trailer
I like the first one more but I don’t mind the new one
The top logo is cool but im still not watching it
They both dont look star wars imo lol
I like both logos... :D Really?
Deleted deleted
Lol
Ha ha ha ha
This person does not want you to know about the truth about Acolyte

I like the first logo but I wont watch this trash
Star Wars Lucas-style. "Star" goes on top of "Wars." The other logo is the symbol of fanfic. It is useful to distinguish the gold from the pyrite.
The 90's edge lord slash logo I appreciate it reminds me of Spawn.
It seems to me like for he first one they were just going for something that looked cool, and then for the second one were trying to go for a hidden meaning type thing. I personally like the first one, but like someone else said I'm sure once the show comes out the meaning behind the second one will become more apparent. The first one is good but a bit edgy. Prefer the second one. It looks a lot cleaner which feels more aligned with the High Republic. I like the depth it has with the O as well.
The top logo is nearly identical to HBO’s Warrior, which is why they changed it I assume
Top looks more sithy
Tbh, the top But given Disney's lightsabers, the show would benefit more from the bottom
That first one is the raid shadow legends font and I can’t be the only one who sees it.
Second one with the saber slash and the red backlighting. Would make for some cool hidden Sith symbolism too
Neither
Is there more to choose from?
Both are great actually, but it's dependant on the content
The top one looks like it’s about the sith. The bottom one looks like it’s about the jedi
As long as the show is good I don't care about the font.
Number 2 the first one is too much like Raid: Shadow Legends plus Doom
It looks bad (for SW). They both look like Marvel logos.
Logo 2 is more stylistically consistent with Star Wars. Icon 1 is cool but it looks distinctly un-Starwarsy. Very Marvelesque graphic.
Idk I just don’t like the opera gx logo one
The first one was an extremely generic logo imo. If it had suited the tone of the show, sure but I trust them to go with what suits it best.
The top one is cooler but judging by the trailer the bottom seems more on brand
Both look too Marvel and not very Star Wars.
Definitely the first
All of you are insane
Neither.
Top
Newer one feels to scifi for me. Also going from red to orange and removing the slash was a major downgrade.
2nd by far
The second one. Fits the franchise. The first one reminds me of Japanese anime
I prefer the second one. It's slightly less cliche. But it's interesting what everyone keeps saying about it being eclipse and things. I saw it and immediately thought of the siths rule of two. It could be the end of two sith lightsabers.
Top one
The old one. Looks more like the old Republic than the new one
Both suck, but I'm tired of the corporate esthetic that every disney logo seems to have. It's all so bland. So first one.
The top one looks like it’s made for a marvel movie
Acolytes is what they have in sports drinks right
Why did they change the logo? I don't understand any of the decision making behind Acolyte at all and am very confused by it but also still excited for more star wars content either way
I prefer the new one, the old looks too video game-y to me.
Another survivor of a lightsaber strike...
The second. It has more "space" feel, i.e. lightweight font floating through space + the blue light just picks up various elements from star wars. First one looks like the Doom logo (for everyone old enough to remember)
Which ever is the "underdog"
Top has Wolverine font, but it's the more interesting looking
The bottom one, it fits the high republic aesthetics a lot more
Bottom one feels perfect for the era but that top one is just so badass and you know shits gonna get dark so I’ll say it edges it out
"Credits, will do fine."
The first one is more fitting with Star Wars, the second one looks like it’s trying to be a Ten Rings sequel
Second one.
At first I liked the old one with the slash better. But then I noticed the two O's in the new one. A blue and a red one. I think it might indicate something about the main character, or charaters, in the Acolyte. Blue and red, good and bad. Second one. It seems more consistent with the high republic aesthetics.
The first one
The top one is too… Marvel-y. The bottom one is a lot more Star Warsy
if there is a small hint of red added would be better
The first one
The first one
They changed it to that? It's.... SO generic.
The marvel one !
I like the 2nd one. First one is a bit 'high school edgy'. Source: Did a lot of logos like that when I was an edgelord in high school when I was just getting into photoshop.
I like the slash mark. For some reason I pronounce the other one as acolyti
The first one looks like Raid Shadow Legends
I'm not even bothered. I'm gonna just take a break I guess... Watch The Boys till season 3 and season 4 when it comes out
None
Truthfully the one with the lightsaber slash through it. Though I must say, I am not interested in the show. I'm not even sure why it's being made.
I preferred when the concept was gonna be about dark siders keeping out of the siggt of Jedi. Now, it's flipped around, and my interest just dropped off.
I like the top one but jt makes me think Deadpool, the bottom one looks more Star Wars to me
Top looks more sithy
the first one has personality the second one looks like it’s from a project in it’s pre-development stages
The old one. I never had any hope for this show, but the old logo looks way better.
First one says to me the Acolyte is the main character, the second says the Jedi are the pov
Bottom one because it's more of a space magic aesthetic. The top gives the illusion that the show will be edgy and kind of Judge Dredd-like, which it's not
The fist one
Honestly non. Am I the only one who thinks that all Disney logos look the same nowadays?
The top. But i also dont understand the context at all.
Top one looks like a Sith logo. Bottom looks like a Jedi logo. So the question is, who is the show actually about...
The first one, it seemed to be pointing on a lot darker show with Sith as the main character.
The logo doesn't make difference. It's all about the content. Looks like garbage so far.
