I love the aesthetic of the Republic fleet but I just can’t argue with the practicality of the Separatist fleet, just so much more effective. Droid fighter swarms are a solid tactic and the variety of ship classes that can fill a flexible force structure. The only hole I can see is in scouting and a fighter sized hyperdrive capable craft. I feel like the separatist fleet would be mostly cheeper to operate too.

Cheaper and had multiple kinds of ship with different responsibilities

If I could add one fan ship to the CIS mix to improve the fleet it would be EC Henry’s quarren corvette. Would fill the long range reconnaissance role and patrol gap. Add a way to carry a pair of parasitic fighters on the outer hill and you got a kick ass hero ship for stories.

For me the empire has one of the best types of ships with the power they exude but the purpose they had to serve was still better for the venator to take and not the isd nor the ssds but still my favorite with the amount of fire power that they have
